Gunnar replies to you debtors are the scam
Let ME guess! You ARE criminals, that's why you're stuck being a two-bit, bogus 3rd party debt collector! Your "good paying" job gets you $10.00 an hour + commissions, which you never see because you work for a smarter criminal than you are!
A fax. or an e-mail is NOTHING! Not in any legal sense whatsoever! Not in life, and most definitely NOT in a court room! If you can't provide a full, complete and legitimate letter of validation, by mail (NOT e-mail or fax.!), you're claim is invalid and is, most likely, entirely bogus.
You inept imbeciles couldn't stay "one step ahead" of an arthritic Tortoise. You're what you are because of WHAT you are. Low-life scammers who don't qualify for a job in the real world. You can't pass background or drug tests, so you're a bogus debt collector. You don't have any real skills, so you lie for a living. You lack the intelligence to be trained for any real trade, so you're a bogus debt collector. You're a sucker, working for a shyster!
You don't have to worry about your "job". You don't try to collect valid bills. When people DO pay their valid bills, it has no effect on the job security of scumbags who exist to defraud people. Frauds don't rely on reality, only on what they can invent. So get back "on your toes". This scam you're running is as old as your car. Think up a new one, no one's falling for your BS & Bluster anymore!
    Skeff Ett Liv!

Step ahead hows that by changing your number to a new one...running to a new location....sooo sad funny when your sooo called debt collections has sooo many lawsuits out against them. Pretty soon you wont have a leg to stand on. What you are doing is illegal, you do not follow laws, you sit there and wonder why people are not paying you...because you are a liar and pond scum...maybe people would be willing to step up and pay your so called company if you followed debt collection laws. So your company paid for a file at pennies on the dollar and then you add what you think you need to it and then profit. You need to check into the laws instead of being on here preaching to consumers that will not listen. Get your license get your bonds and follow the laws and then this forum would probably not be here.

How does any of this justify taking money from someone and not paying a cent of it back?. I don't work for Audobon...I work for a different agency....Not even payday loans...I was considering a job there and found this thread.....I'm not going to work there.....But here's the problem, they most likely are using illegal tactics to collect their debts....That's deplorable and unacceptable, agreed.....But no more so than taking out a loan because you know you can get away with not paying it back..........That's pretty unsavory as well............How come that never comes up??.......You never see someone post on here...."I mailed them $50 and they sent it back to me!!!"......Because they wouldn't and you would know that if you made an attempt to fulfill the obligation you created of your own free will. If you are so aware payday loans are illegal....Then why are you taking them out?......To get free money......Your behavior is no less questionable than the behavior of the collectors you're insulting. When does moral obligation come into play?........fraud
    /frôd/
    Noun
Wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain. Sounds like "fraud" is being committed by both parties. That being said..two wrongs don't make a right.

It is obvious you do indeed work for them..good luck with the whole debt collecting job...this forum is to discuss the mannar this company collects and how wrong they are. If they followed laws and collected in a manner that wasnt to SCARE people into paying them back then it would be a whole different story. They are collecting debt illegally, maybe they should second guess their career path.

Thank you for wishing me luck in my current career path, which I again assure you is at a much more reputable company than Audobon. I kind of get the impression you weren't very sincere, though. Either way, I can say I don't work there, and you can say "yeah you do!" over and over again and we'll get nowhere, and both be annoyed. What is your career good sir/ma'am? Just wondering since you seem to be in a place to judge people for how they feed their children and pay their mortgage. I think there's more honor in calling someone and asking them to pay their bill, than borrowing money and blaming the party asking for the money back, when you suddenly decide not to return the funds. I'm sure you have a response for this as well, but there were several other aspects of my previous comment that you failed to address, almost as if you weren't considering what I was saying and were solely intent on making me look bad. If you could re-read my post and respond in full to all the issues I mentioned, and not just the ones that justify not paying back bills that would be awesome!!! Thank you for reading and responding though....oh....and it's spelled "manner" not "mannar".

People are not upset about owing a debt - they are upset because of the ILLEGAL way many debt collectors try to get them to pay.  There are rules and regulations (FDCPA) to be adhered to.  And by the way, many of those who are in debt are having a hard time paying because of unexpected medical bills, job loss, disability.  If a debt is owed, then yes, people should honor their obligation to pay and hopefully work with their creditors so that they can pay what they can and when.

And for the record, I worked at a credit union once, and our collection department went above and beyond to help people who could not pay.  As well as adhering to the rules of the FDCPA.  As the saying goes, you'll catch more flies with honey than vinegar.  Again, people get angry and upset because of illegal actions on the part of debt collectors.

I adhere to the FDCPA in full every day, without fail, and have never received a single complaint at all. Payday loans are a different deal though, and I could never handle collecting on such questionable debt. A lot of these "victims" knowingly rip off the lenders by authorizing a payment to recoup the funds they were lent.....then go to the bank and pull the funds before the payment runs.....or have a "do not honor" applied to the future payment. This actually falls under the legal definition of bank fraud according to USLEGAL.COM "Bank fraud is the criminal offense of knowingly executing or attempting to execute a scheme or artifice to defraud a financial institution or to obtain property owned by or under the control of a financial institution by means of false or fraudulent pretenses, representations, or promises.

It is to be noted that 18 USCS, § 1344 deals with bank fraud, stating:

Whoever knowingly executes, or attempts to execute, a scheme or artifice

    (1) to defraud a financial institution; or

    (2) to obtain any of the moneys, funds, credits, assets, securities, or other property owned by, or under the custody or control of, a financial institution, by means of false or fraudulent pretenses, representations, or promises;

shall be fined not more than $1,000,000 or imprisoned not more than 30 years, or both.

Unfortunately no D.A. or A.D.A. will pursue this because it's almost impossible to prove the intent of the person at the time the act was committed, and defining a payday loan company as a financial institution can be sketchy at best....a fact that is well known by most of the people who steal from payday loan companies.
So yes....the tactics used by these companies are downright wrong and I do not support them in any form, shape or fashion. I'm just saying that there are two levels of accountability here not just one. You can't take out a loan illegally knowing you're not gonna pay it back, and then point a finger at the illegal activities of the individual trying to collect it.
Both parties are wrong, and payday loans should either be nonexistent, or pursued criminally if substantial hardship can't be proven.
It's a terrible system and should be done away with entirely......criminals arguing with criminals.

The reason so many people default on payday loans is because the loans NEVER end. They take money from a persons account over and over AND OVER and yet the loan is never getting paid off because the interest is so high. The only way to pay off the loan is to pay off the entire borrowed amount plus the insane interest all at once. Most people who take out a payday loan don't have that much cash available all at once and the payday loan companies know this. So the poor sucker who took out the loan endures months of payments being withdrawn from their account with no end in sight. Usually by the time the person who took out the loan "defaults" by closing their account they have already paid back the minimum of 4 times what they borrowed in the first place. So you don't know what you are talking about "BILL COLLECTOR". Your all-caps posts show how stupid you are. So in answer to your question, most of these people have paid! ALOT! Because of these shady payday loan practices, mosts states have cracked down on how long they can withdraw money without applying money to the principal so the loan can get paid down. Unfortunately for some people, these laws came too late. Now they have scumbag bottom feeders like yourself trying to make a buck of someone who's already been taken to the cleaners. You are a loser "BILL COLLECTOR".

So for almost a year now I have been receiving calls from these same people and what they do is start with one company and in a matter of three or four months you will start receiving calls from a new company stating you owe from a loan you have taken out.  Well now I'm not too sure if this is a lie because I have been in the process of buying a home and come to find out I have a lien on my credit report.  What do I do now, again I'm starting to think this is not a lie because how could they do such a thing, hmmm?.?  And they also state they are going to put a hold on my money with my bank, so how does this work?.?

Really if you are not associated with this shady company at all why are you even on here (you either got a call from them or you work for them because you just dont go online and google a company without being associated with them one way or another), why are you YELLING, why are you soooo defensive? You are not impressing anyone with your definitions and rants on this Company. They are conartist and liars, this forum is for people's experiences with the company and that is all...so what if they had a payday loan that was then bought out by a THIRD party debt collector who doesnt know what a license is or bond to collect on a debt and calls and lies and threatens people to pay a debt. If they are such a great company why are there sooo many lawsuits out against them. People should not be scared into paying a debt, the laws should be followed and steps should be taken, if not then they should not be paid nor profit off of someone elses crisis.

BILL COLLECTOR replies to Ok Mr. Caps Lock
I'm really sorry if I offended you, I was just looking them up because they offered me a job, and found this thread. I wasn't defending them, but I wasn't defending people who take out payday loans either, I was just trying to see both sides of the argument. My caps lock is stuck FYI, if I could whisper I would. Again, I'm really sorry you're so mad I said something, that was not my intention. I don't agree with how payday loans are collected at all, and I never meant to upset you so much.

There should not be anything on your credit from this company they can not post to your credit or collect on a debt without a bond or license. You must work for them if you are going all crazy stating they put a hold on your accounts...not possible there has to be a judgement for that and this company will not take you to court. Good try trying to scare people in thinking this is a legit company.

    Not falling for it
First some young lady calls me, who is obviously reading from a script. She tells me that they have already filed papers. I told her 3 times, that I will see them in court . She keeps talking though, and saying that "at this point" they were giving me a chance to settle out of court. I said, No , if the papers are already filed, I will see you there. She kept talking, so I hung up. Then this Mike calls, and he is very rude, insulting and threatening. He claimed to be a lawyer and that the first young lady was supposedly his paralegal. They both need to go back to school!

They are preying on the fact, that people are clueless and easily intimidated. I am neither! I would welcome the chance to meet these [***] in court. I hve documented every call they have made, and would love to get it in front of a judge!

My sisted emailed me that I needed to call Stacy at ABF 866-655-9452 x 202 because of a "bad check" issue. When I called this place, I was transferred to a "Mrs. Robinson" (go figure) and when I asked is this Stacey she said yah this is Stacey Robinson.I asked how she got my sister's number and she claimed they called the phone number on the paperwork, which should have been MY PHONE NUMBER.She then proceeded to argue, scream, accuse me of leading her on, regarding a payday loan from CashWebUSA.When I asked her to send me this in writing I was screamed at and accussed of trying to weasel my way out of paying the debt. While she was talking to me, there was background talking which made it very hard to hear. She claimed she was the only person in the room (liar). Her demand was for $353 TODAY! with credit or debit card.I offered to send bank check and was laughed at.After I agreed to debit card I was switched to "Michael Moore" who verified my information to be processed on 6/28.When I asked how to contact them I was given the 866-655-9452 x 202.SCAM!!

A payday loan company is not a financial institution. That statute refers to banks and such. There is NO bank fraud involved when someone is unable to repay a payday loan. Most close the accounts after these loan sharks withdraw 10 times what the person borrowed and the poor people see no end in sight!
