Not real!  Hung up and checked my account and there are no alerts on it.  I didn't trust the call.

My boyfriend just got a call from this number... I was unsure at first because the automated system asked him his personal information (day of birth, zipcode etc) after he provided the information I told him to hang up and call BB&T directly and ask them if it was a legit number. They CONFIRMED and said it is in fact a BB&T number.

There are scams within all businesses , SS Check not posted until 1/18/17 , as if someone deposit it into a/c after my inquiry..?

Someone tried making purchases with my debit card at Toys R Us. BB&T blocked the transactions. I'm not sure how to categorize this call type with the options they give you, so I'm putting event reminder.

I got two calls from this number within a couple minutes of each other, but just silence on the other end. After giving them at least 15 secs, I hung up. After reading this, called back. Yes, BB&T fraud number regarding recent transactions. Since I've had my BOA card hacked four times in as many years, I appreciate it, but robo calls that give the recipient silence don't help anyone. BB&T, improve this, please. Thx

This number certainly is legitimate!!   I received a call at 8:00 am this morning from this number asking me about a few transaction on my account taking place in Denmark.  I was comfortably sitting at my kitchen table in Virginia at the time.  Sooooo stopped those transactions in their tracks, HUGE THANK YOU to BB&T!!

I wish I had looked at this on Saturday when BB&T called to verify a transaction!  I waited until today (Monday) when they called again, and it was too late to cancel :(  Yes this is definitely a legitimate call from BB&T's fraud monitoring department and you want to know what it is about!

Just called me, I answered it they stated they were BB&T Fraud monitoring. I called the number back was automated asking 3 questions then a rep got on phone, seemed legit but I do not trust anyone, so hung up walked down to bank (6 houses away) They stated that it was in fact the Fraud Dept. calling about some recent purchases I had made. I spent alot more than usual in a lot of smaller transactions. This all happened between 9am EST and 930am EST 02/14/2017

This number is 100% Legit. Call it back. They are trying to prevent fraudulent charges on your debit card! They saved me a huge hassle, and $200!

This is a legit call from BB&T Fraud Monitoring. My card was charged 18 times from all over the world. Germany, Canada, etc. Definitely answer or call them back.

Phone numbers are too easily spoofed to trust some random caller claiming to be from your bank or credit card company. Better advice would be to not give the caller any information but instead hang up and call the number on the back of your card.

BB&T automated fraud dept. I made a purchase from Canada, they were calling to verify. I wish they would leave a message because unless you google missed call numbers who would know?

But yeah, all sarcasm aside, this actually is a legitimate number. Must have been a mishap.

If you are with BB&T they probably blocked a suspicious withdrawal from your check card and was calling to verify if you aware someone it trying to take money out your account especially if they tried to do it often without your knowledge.

If they did ask for your card information it was probably 2 numbers and your zip code and probably ask you about your recent transactions you made outside of what you normally make ... I traveled out of town and used my card, they asked me if I had made purchases in those states which was for gas ... they thought my card was stolen ...

Legit they probably already blocked the company or person who was trying to take money out your account without your approval. So you won't see it in your account .. if you had called BB&T or that # they would had made you aware of what just took place and that the transaction was blocked.
