Got a message on my home phone about "an important matter" then the voice said: This is Carrie Smith, we are trying to locate: then in a different recorded voice my father's name.  They then gave the number 877-611-1815.  My father is in his late 80's and in assisted living so this scared the living #&^% out of me at first.  I googled the number and got this web page.  I did not call back.  Really creepy

Recieved a recorded message from a "Carrie Smith" asking if I could help with the whereabouts of a person. No info provided, just asking if I knew of the whereabouts of a person. The number the recording provided as a call back was 877-611-1815.

I got the same message from Carrie Smith.  She was  looking for my sister in laws ex husband.  I bet he owes someone money.

I just received a call and an automated message was played...

I called the number and it is for a collection agency.ESBCA

Everyone please be careful of these types of calls.. good or bad.. this can be seriously abused...

Got the same ... but requested my daughter's location..

Sounds like a collection call or telemarketer.  Wasn't my name so I don't care to call them back.

If you really owe the money, contact http://www.nfcc.org/ to get on a payment plan on this and other debts.

If you don't owe the money, I'd contact my attorney general's office and let them know you are doing so.

Just received this call from a "Carrie Smith"  saying the same thing - trying to locate (I believed she sai d the person"s name of Andrew Broder.  I do not trust this call after reading all the info on thsi siite.
Said "Very Urgent" she reach this person!!!!!  Not my Name - and I would not call any of these type of calls back anyway.  All Scams...........

A female left a message saying they were trying to locate a friend of mine and left this number.  I will block them from further calls.

I received a call asking for my father. I called back and asked what company is this. The gentleman said: EOSCCA, a collection company. Your father has an unpaid verizon bill.

OK folks here the deal. Just got a call from this number today and have access to a bit more investigative tools than most. It is in fact a collection agency hired by verizon called EOSCCA. I dug a little into their business because of the rude behavior of the representative who contacted me. (Its funny how a person's attitude changes when you delete their anonymity; isn't it Carrie Smith from page 1 of this very forum!) Maybe you'll remember some of the people you reach out and touch can touch you back!

Anywhooooo..... I had an business burn down and Verizon failed to cancel the account when I'd asked them to. I received very helpful AND COURTEOUS information from Rodney @ 877-611-1815 ext#43387 and got it straight. He'll explain everthing to you and coordinate settling your debt if there is one. Hope this helps guys.

They keep calling my parents house. Leaving a recorded message. Stated her name was Carrie Smith, left that number 877-611-1815.......called back they said it was outside of there bussiness hours. Sounds like a scam.

We just got the same call from "carry smith" trying to locate "blah" and call back. Except we got a different phone number. When we called it back we got a girl saying it was a "private number". She was real cocky and gave attitude when we tried explaining and she hung up. The number we got was 877 -204-4904. Oh well, I've got enough on my plate then to worry about this kind of stuff.

Collection agency

My ex husband called to say Carrie Smith had contacted him and was looking for me to collect a debt. I had never lived at his address in a different state that he moved to 15 years ago. I have excellent credit and do not owe past due bills of any kind.

Got a call form this number and they are rude and would not say why or how they got my number rude and very hateful. 877-703-7414  They said who ever opened an account gave my number they would not answer if I was on the account or not or anything like that I told them to remove my number.

No name, recorded message, but "call is urgent to reach xxxxxx. "

This company has been calling sometimes with as little as 2 minutes between calls. No matter what they say they are not Verizon as they are calling my Brighthouse number instead of any of the 6 Verizon numbers I have
