I just received a call from 203-409-3442 with a call back number of:  877-855-1624.  The representative asked me to hold for his supervisor.  Her name is Marie.  She called to say that I was going to be garnished for a pay day loan back in 2007.  I asked for the phone number of the company and I also asked her for information regarding the amount, but she would not give me the information.  She also said that I had received notices concerning this-which I have not.  She insinuated that I misplaced them or they were thrown in the trash with the junk mail.  She said that all she needed was my name and social security number and she had that and they would garnish my wages.

I've had payday loans, but I printed out my credit report and I cannot find any outstanding debt that matches this.  I had identity theft twice in the past five years and this could be stemming from that.  I am not sure, but I told her that I would contact the original company and talk with them.  I am glad to see that others have received this same call and that it is a scam.  Please be careful of who you give information to.  I lost a lot of money with the identity theft in previous years.

I received a call from 877-855-1624 and returned the call and let the woman who answered the phone know she could contact the Texas FBI headquarter at 9725595000 and let them know the scam they are pulling.  She said ok and hung up.  Maybe that will stop the calls to me for awhile.

    a bunch of bull
these people called me at my work from the same number 877-855-1624 stating that they were dni recovery (maria) and then she says that i took out a loan in 2008 for $700.  first of all i never took out a loan in 2008 and secondly i would like to know what in the hell i would need $700 for when i have a job and had the same job back then.  she told me that is was from some place called united cash.  never heard of them and they are an online company, but i never got a loan from them.  seems like they are getting information from loan places that people have applied to or that you have had in the past.  people buy and sell this type of info all the time. any real credit collection agency will give you more information on the company that is trying to collect the debt and these people are not even professional.  they dont even have their stories straight, you cant garnish someone's wages and press charges for check fraud, it's either or dummies.  if you garnish wages, the person is paying the debt off and then it would be cleared.  if you are proceeding with check fraud, those are criminal charges and then you get prosecuted and go to jail if you are convicted.  those are two totally different things but they tell you that they are doing both but you can't do both at the same time.  a hoax!

A Ms. Gonzales called me on my cell phone and at work from DNI Recovery advising that she wanted to set up a payment plan for my loan from United Cash (never heard of it) from 2008. She advised that if I didn't set it up they would be garnishing my check at 25%. She knew a lot of my personal information. When I asked her how much I owed she told me, " right now its at 2000.00"... lol. I'm so sure that if I owed a loan and they were charging interest for two years and all kinds of other fees it would be exactly $2000.00. These people are ridiculous!!!

They just called our office looking for my friend and co worker.  When I asked them what this was regarding they said it was regarding a wage garnishment that they were trying to help her with... Well, I told her about the call and what they said and she has no idea what they are talking about... also, it is against the law to tell strangers about the nature of the call, i.e. 'wage garnishment'...  these people are full of crap and she has no intention of paying them a cent. Also, she has already turned them in to the California and NY Attorney Generals offices as well as the FBI and FTC.   Everyone in our Firm, which is a Law Firm by the way :), are aware of these people and will not give them the time of day...!

I recieved a phone from this organization stating that a judgement was entered against me on behalf of Elite Cash/Elite Payday Loans. They stated the account went into collections in 2009 and due to nonpayment my drivers license would be suspended. They stated my social security number and recent street address and some old banking information. I need to identify this company "Elite Cash/Payday Loans" and its partner "DNI Recovery". I want to see if this is a legitimate claim or if my identity has been compromised.
Being that they had the correct street address on file I was a bit perturbed that I had not EVER recieved any documentation in writing about the "loan" or "non payment" of these funds or even any indication that the debt went into Collection or even that I was being sued?!?!??! I will investigate this matter to the highest extent of my ability to prove my innocence. Once this has been settled, I will prosecute any/all parties involved.

I just recieved a phone call at work from a Ms. Perkins at DNI recovery stating that recieved a payday loan from a united cash loans. I told her that I had no idea what she was talking about and she started to rattle off my home address and  social security. She stated that they had been sending letters to my home to resolve this issue and they were about to garnish my wages. I simply told her to send me something and she said all I want from you is to set up a payment arrangement. However, I contacted United cash loans and I am no where in the records. Needless to say I will be contacting my attorney because this is ridiculous. This is not the first time I have recieved a call from a random number like this.Be careful folks!!!!

Don't get frustrated, just file a complaint at www.ftc.gov and provide as much information as possible.  If everyone will do this the government may be able to track these thieves down and stop them from committing fraud.

"Marie" called me, stated she was going to garnish my wages for a debt with United Payday Loans that was taken out in 2008. She called me (I live in WA) before 8am. I gave her the name and phone number of my attorney. She stated she couldn't give me her last name, or the address of her business, which is DRI Recovery. I asked how come I didn't receive any letters regarding this and she said the creditor had sent me letters but I never responded. I told her how come they hadn't sent me any letters and she stated because they couldn't. When I asked how is that legal pursuant to the FDCPA she stated they were the creditors but yet the account was placed in her office on 7/13/10. How can they be both the collector & the original creditor? Please. I actually do have an attorney and have worked with him very closely on matters like these so I know BS when I hear it. Off to file complaints with the BBB, FTC, and post on other pages because I can see this "Marie" has threatened others as well. They also called my place of employment from the number & it shows up on the caller ID as Excel Receivables. Also, further searching shows this number belonging to Ezell Williams and Associates. I've already filed complaints with the FTC, BBB and now the IL Attorney General. Their number is 630-554-7876 and there are two address for them: according to the BBB it is 505 Rosenbush Lane Oswego, IL 60543 w/ a fax of (630) 554-5219. This number is associated to a landline phone belonging to Linda & Anthony Giangiulio at 337 Country Ln, Yorkville, IL 60560

So this is the third time these people have called for it stardted with a indian guy name cliff wilson calling me and saying that i owed a payday loan from 2008 sometime between june and august.  First off the can't tell you when they deposit the loan and when i asked who the loan was buy they siad quickcash.com and gave me a number to call when i called it, it was the same man now speaking plan and clear as can be. Then i asked why wasn't i notify he said they have through email and i told him that was agianst the law and he had to not only notify me by mail but also by phone and more than just three times. the same people called about a month ago saying the same thing if i didn't pay the were going to send people to my job and investagate  me and arrest me. Same as before and i simple told them that i was reporting them to the police.  NOW TODAY a Ms. Garcia and Ms. Enzo both called one my job and the other my cell both with the same crap about a loan i never took out.  But really piss me off is they had alot of my info just like the first time and tried to get my banking info just like the first time am really sick of these people and i called the police agian as soon as i got off the phone because they were saying they were  garnish my wages 25% if i didn't pay like before. the police once again said they can't do it with taking me to court.  And if they do it will leave a paper trail and then they can arrest them for fraud.  So i called the "ladies " back and said garnish them because as soon as you do am taking you to court and to stop calling my job and cell phone the only way i want to be notified is by mail and to have a great day. THE ONE THING I WILL SAY IS IF THEY HAVE ANY INFO LIKE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER YOU SHOULD CLOSE THAT ACCOUNT AND IF THEY HAVE YOUR SOCIAL USE A IDENTITY PROTECTION IT WILL SAVE YOU IN THE LONG RUN!!

Call from Ms. Campbell, told me I had to set up a payment plan for some debt, no details of who I owed this debt to, but if I did not call her back, she was going to suspend my driver's license.  I guess she is telling me she works for DOT here in Texas!  Tried to sound like a little girl with a small soft voice but all she did was rattle on, never telling me who she was collecting for, only that she worked for DNI and she was going to take my driver's license away if I did not set up a payment today.  Very hard to understand her or work with her she was so rude and arrogrant.  NEVER gave me who she was collecting for or how much I owed but she sure could make threats!

Hey guys thought this info would help for I they are so not going to do anything that has to do with going to court. I was told that I sign a wage wavier which by the way is you giving someone personal permission to garish your wages and you can revoke permission by sending your company a simple letter stating that as per my hr lawyer for my company, then in the same breathe she said her company will just garnish my wages for 25% and I would have to pay court fees and cost. I told her great take me to court because first you have to make a complaint then the court will notify me of the complaint and then will go to court were I can prove it's not my debt and get to sue you back for wasting my time.  She wasn't very happy with me but my hr lawyer said the court garnish is a long process you would notified through the whole process so don't give them one penny these people are frauds!  They are trying to get money from you that's why the won't tell you their address or any info on the debtor their collecting fir which is against the law. Ladie about your drive licence call the police and then your local DMV if they have the driver licence number and put an alert on it just in case they try something!  I hope this helps don't give them any info and tell them to take you to court! They have threaten me with jail wage garnish sending people to my work put it's been since april of this year and nothing has ever happen because their frauds

I received the identical call.  When I asked for the original creditor, Marie told me they did not have that and did not have to provide it to me.  She threatened to  have my drivers licensed suspended becasue of this federal investigation.  But she would not tell which federal investigation was investigating me.  This too concerns me because she has my social security number, work telephone number and my home number.  I know my credit union was a victim of identify theft and I think this is where they may have gotten my personal information.  There is nothing on my credit report, I guesss they would not be that dumb but instead making these harassing phone calls.  Let's put these criminals where they belong.  I am going to report Marie to the Secret Service on Monday.

hey guys here some info thats great to know if you live in california, one the state of ca doesn't allow payday loans to loan you more than $300 hundred dollars online or off, two they have to be licence by the state to even lend in ca if they are not the loan is consider illegal.  So when they say you owe this $700 dollars you can say thats illegal in the state of california and then ask for their licence number .  I also heard that they have been send out fake wage assements to jobs. if they send a wage assement to your job get a certified letter and give it to job and send it to the debtor stating the following!

    Date:

    Name Of PDL

    Your Name
    City, State
    Account #

This letter is to inform you that I am aware of the FACT that the loan you issued to me, is NOT legal or binding in my state. For your convenience, I have included my state payday loan laws below.

(Insert Your State payday loan laws here)

(Insert either (a) OR (b) which ever statements below which applies to you)

    (a) The state of (insert your state) prohibits payday loans, therefore, I am bound by the state laws where I reside. As I have no presence in your state or country (only insert one choice, state or country, depending on your situation.), therefore I have no legal obligation to the 'governing laws' you may have detailed.
    OR
    (b) The state of (insert your state) requires Internet payday lenders to be licensed in MY state. I have already researched this information, your company does NOT have a license to lend in the state of ___________, if I am mistaken I will need proof in the form of a license number so that I may verify it with my Attorney General. I am bound by the state laws where I reside. As I have no presence in your state or country (only insert one choice, state or country, depending on your situation.), therefore I have no legal obligation to the 'governing laws' you may have detailed.

Be advised that as of today (insert todays date) I am revoking ANY and ALL ACH authorizations with your company from debiting any AND all of my personal accounts, per Federal law, Regulation E Section 205.10 Preauthorized transfers. I also revoke ANY and ALL wage assignments I may have signed, by you, including but not limited to; any of your affiliates, dba's, and collection agencies assigned to this account. None of the above no longer have my permission to access my accounts or impose a wage assignment.

I will only communicate to resolve this matter via email. If you ignore this notice and attempt to contact me or any of my references via telephone, you will be ignored and any payments owed will be delayed. I am willing to pay the principle amount of the loan only, however, no address means NO payments, this is not negotiable.

If you do NOT reply to this notice within 48 hours I will be forced to file complaints with my Attorney General (insert name of your attorney general), the BBB and the Federal Trade Commission. If you reply to this notice with any misleading legal implications or menacing course of actions you are unable to follow through with, I will be forced to take actions against you which could cause you to lose your license in the state of (insert the state they are licensed in) < (only use this statement if the illegal lender is licensed to lend in a state other than yours) and cause damage to your reputation, which could potentially decrease your clientele!

    Sincerely,

    Your Name

If your company doesn't stop the wage assement you can then sue them and file a complaint against them too from what i hear these forms aren't properly filled out with all the info their suppose to have if your company excepts it their just as much at fault for making you a victim of fraud and  so make sure both letters are certified so you have a record of them. NOW if you did take out the loan you have to pay back whatever the pdl gave if they deposited $450 you have to pay $450 and nothing else you can also try putting a hard ach transcation freeze on your bank account by notifing your bank about whats going if they say no quote the ca law to them and they will give in but for the best results you will need to close that account.  but partner with your make because if you don't tell them whats going on you could end up owing the bank money instead.  Also make sure to file the proper complaints. If you didn't  take out the loan and your a victim of identity thief ask for a letter of collections showing the debt any real debtor know they have 5 days from the time of the request to send it to you, also this paper should contain any and all info abouthis debt the original debtors name, address, phone number, date of the actual loan, the date the loan was sent to collection, the collections companys name, address and phone.  Secondly RECORD all conversations and get as much info as possible on them and continue to report it they will eventually give up.  if they threat you with garnishment they have to file a complaint in court and then they are bond by ca state law as long as you were a resident here at the suppose  it time of the loan! and again if their scam artist they are not going to go this far and most online ones who are not lincence here in ca after recieving this letter will right you off as payed in full because they don't go that far either!  I HOPE THIS HELPS, FOR ME THE MORE I KNOW THE BETTER I CAN FIGHT BACK AND I WANT TO DO ALL I COULD TO HELP BECAUSE THEY STOLED MY INFORMATION OFF OF A UNSECURED SITE AND IT REALLY JUST PISS ME OFF TO HEAR MY PERSONAL INFO BEING READ TO ME NEEDLESS TO SAY I NOW HAVE LIFE LOCK BECAUSE OF IT AND CHECK SOCIAL SECRUITY EVERY 6 MONTH TO MAKE SURE NO ONE IS USING MY SSC NUMBER IT MAY BE A HASSEL BUT I THINK IN THE END IT WILL SAVE ME ON THE BIGGER HEADACHE!
