These people have called my job and left a message about garnishment.  I originally received a call and was told that I was speaking to a detective and that they were coming to arrest me all the way from Florida.  I asked them what company took out the arrest on me and they wouldn't give any information, so I told them that they (Indians) can give that information to me or my local police department.  They changed their tune and gave me some cash advance company I've never heard of...    I've never heard of the company (United something or other) and ask them to provide the paperwork, which I've never received.  Today (11-22-2010) I received a call and a message left from 972-734-5400 to call 877-855-1624, a Mrs. Styles.  Someone mentioned on an earlier post that these people are pulling information from a previous pay loan and what their doing is a fraud and not to mention "illegal".

    THINK AGAIN
Same thing just happened at my place of employment. I was initially bothered, thinking I owed someone, and I was thinking 'what can I do to take care of this?' until I was told that it was for a payday loan from 2006. I've never had a pay-day loan....but I did try an on-line approval for credit services a couple of months ago. I returned the call and conferenceed in my husband, who is a police officer, and my boss -since the calls were coming at work- when he began asking her information ...the call abruptly ended. Haven't heard anything else.

You're exactly right I have been calling them back relentlessly. They are probably connected with this number (559) 399-0358. They got so tired of me calling that they cursed me out "f" word and all. I love it!!! I have put their number on fake payday loan apps as my contact number. I also use their number on numerous websites for telemarketers to call me back on. I'm sure they are receiving hundreds if not thousands of calls because of me!!! Ha ha ha ha ha

I received a call from the same number, 877-855-1624, saying that their client was going to file a wage garnishment against me for an unpaid payday loan.  I have not been able to get any information validating this debt, and the thing that concerns me most was that the woman to whom I spoke, a Ms. Melody Ingram, had a lot of my information.  This included my current bank info.  I didn't even recognize the name of the supposed creditor, UnitedCashAdvance.  When I asked if there was some written documentation that could be sent, whether to my email or via US Postal Service, she couldn't provide what I requested.  I have not yet paid anything, as I cannot verify anything that was said to me.  I have also reported this to the FTC and to the attorney general's office in my home state.

I also got a called from a number 000-000-0000 but then left a messages  on my phone and saying they have my employment information and they will send it to garnish my pay checks and need to call this woman and she left the  number 877-855-1624. I left messages but no one is answering. Can they do this without my permission?  I don't know what to do.

As far as I can tell, United Cash Advance does not exist.  See my previous posts on this page.  Once I started asking for specific information they would stall or hang up or threaten me.  I still call them every day - I have 4 or 5 numbers of theirs.  Looks like they are taking the day off for Thanksgiving.

The Illinois Attorney General's Office has issued a statement about this company, saying they are extorting people for fake payday loans.  They are scumbags and when I called them on it they told me I would be taken off their list.  Now, if I owed you money, why would you remove me from your list?  Hmmmmm.....

A Ms. Johnson called, I had to listen to the message four times just to figure out what she was saying - anyway, she was threatening to garnish wages from something that I never could figure out what she was talking about - returned the call to the number 877-855-1624, but have just gotten voice mail both times - what's with these people anyway?  Can't they just get an honest job like the rest of us - and if they are going to continue to make these calls, they really should have someone who can be understood....I had a call from some guy in Florida saying he was Sgt something or other... unfortunately, he called the wrong person - when I found out it too was fraud, I kept calling him back and threatening him to the point that he would no longer answer the phone - I also gave out his number to all my friends who kept harrassing him as well.....too bad for him......

The guys name that emailed me was Ismail Patel. I work them and email back quoting the Law of Fair debt collections and I have not heard back from them. I also advised them that I would turning their information over the Attorneys General office to investigate their email, their phone and address. The woman did call back today apparently they had not told her anything.

What number did you use to contact United Cash?  I got the same phone call and talked to a Ms. Perkins.  I hung up on her because she wasn't helping matters, continuing to tell me that I need to pay D&I or my wages were going to be garnished and the original creditor would take me to court.  I wanted to contact United Cash myself but couldn't find a number...

I just got the same call at work today. funny. I deal with attorneys all day in the same manner. (debt collectors) so i know the procedures of wage garnishments. lol...i told her to validate the loan in writing which is required by federal law. she told me that i would have to look for it myself and try to find the info on the original creditor. Like you said everyone should know that in order to be garnished the order is this:  1.) notice of demand of payment 2.) file complaint if notice of demand is not adhered to. 3.) service of process (debtor is served) 4.) time is allowed for served debtor to file a response to the claim. 5.) if no response is filed, then judgment is taken and then wage garnishment proceedings begin. If none of these have been done to you in regards to a debt. then they are full of [***]. i work with attorneys all day and i have 2 lawyers in my family so i know.
