This number has called me dozens of times - no-one answers when I say "hello"
What on earth is going on????  I have had a call the last three nights and many, many,
times before that.

I've also been receiving calls from this number - Sears.  If I see a number that I don't recognize I usually don't answer it.  I finally got tired of these harassing calls that I contacted (by email) Sears to put my number on their "do not call" list.  I received an email back saying I must phone (866-491-2247) directly, due to the privacy act.  When I did this, I was directed to phone ANOTHER number!  The number was 101-45787.  What kind of a number is that!!!  I just sent Angelique at Sears another email, waiting to see how they respond.  Telemarketers...rrrrr - get a real job!

I can't believe I just got ANOTHER call from Sears Canada; just seconds after I posted the last letter!  I answered the call - a real human voice on the other end.  They are trying to sell warranty protection for items I purchased in the past.  I told him "Why would I want to buy an extended warranty for a carpet cleaner that I use but once a year."  He said he will take my number off of their list right away.

Just called sears.  They have been calling about the warranty on my new washing machine.  Haven't even got the thing home yet!  Makes me wonder about the sense of purchasing from them.

Sears was very courteous and said my number would be removed from their list.

None of your rant about corporate identity theft explains how, when you call back the offending number, you get, guess what?! SEARS! So your whole diatrible about poor, innocent Sears having their reputation besmirched is wholly incorrect. Personally I've never received ANY other calls about the same issue, so your vaguely libelous/slanderous implication that Costco, Walmart or Zellers are behind some nefarious scheme to discredit Sears is laughable. It's been Sears calling all along. Sears and ONLY Sears.

I just called back to ask to get taken off the list, and the woman on the other end (after a recorded message, press 1 to talk to a human) tried to talk me into getting a Sears credit card!!!!!  
It took multiple repetitions of my request to be taken off their phone list (she was arguing with me! - and yes, it was about an extended maintenance agreement on an item I bought last year) before she agreed to do so.  We'll see if the calls stop...

These calls from Sears, their catolgue orders etc are located in the Phillipines.  When I queried where the person was from when I tried to place an order he replied"The Phillipines".  I told him I will not give my information to any International company.  I then complained to Sears.  They gave me a mish mash of why it is so much cheaper to deal offshore.  I told them then they can keep their products.
Be careful when ordering from Sears!

Just rec'd another call from Sears regarding a maintenance warranty on a fridge I just purchased there.
I am fed up with them calling constantly.  I definitely will not be buying anything more from Sears!
The call block list I am not sure of.  Does it not put your name and phone number more out there?

I'm so fed up with these annoying 877-889-2024 calls. This is ridiculous.. They call me 6 days/week, and sometimes 5 or 6 times/day. I've been on the no call list from the beginning. I just filed a complaint to CRTC.

Quit doing this SEARS.. You've just lost my business.

They called last month several times a day.  Told them to send me something in the mail and, if interested, I'd call them back (since I NEVER do deals on the phone).  Calls stopped .... until this week.  Now I am getting several calls a day, again.

Answered for the heck of it, no one there - do they _try_ to be annoying or does it just come naturally to Sears??

I've been getting calls from this number for quite some time.  After reading this thread it appears to be from SEARS.  For me, this is a problem as I don't shop at SEARS, nor do I have a SEARS credit card. I have no SEARS appliances in my home.  I'm guessing my current cell phone number is recycled from a SEARS shopper?   I've been using this number for 7 years.  This 877 number only started a year or so ago.

Works like a charm!  It turns out that they had my number as I ordered something from the store once. They have now taken my name off of all their lists.

crtc will get my complaint...and sears will get no more business from me.

This number had been calling every day and sometimes twice a day.   When I pick up, there's no-one there.    Today I called the number given by Kailababy earlier: 1-866-491-2247, which is Sears.  I made my complaint and the representative said she wasn't sure if the 877 number was one of Sears' because they have several, but she wasn't surprised.  She did say that there had been lots of complaints about their system which is obviously malfunctioning, but, as witnessed on this site, the problem goes back several years and you'd think they could have fixed it by now
My number is now on Sears' Do Not Call list (I hope!).

Also getting these calls 4 - 6 six times per day and want it to stop. Has anyone figured out where this call is coming from.

to many calls no one there. Will call sears to complain.
