Im getting same message from a different phone #786-206-3760 and when you call it back just a busy signal or disconnected.

we have been getting harassed by this number for sometime, so i called and the rudest lady didn't even answer it as a business which was red flag #1, when she demanded to speak to my hubby, i asked her what it was in regards to and she started threatening me with calling the cops, red flag #2, so i told her she had 2 choices, tell me what it was about and the name of the company or i would contact my attorney. red flag #3 she stopped talking.hmmmmm...i think its horrible that they are doing this to people!!  I contacted my attorney right away to make them aware of this and they said they would handle it, they felt it was a scam as many people have already commented on.  BEWARE and DON'T FALL FOR IT!!

a person named Jon Stewart ,call trying to collect over 2,500 dollars  on a credit card from 2007 with Bank of America  he said that is in his law firm to get  that money back and we'll settle for half the amount .I filed bankruptcy almost 6 years ago  and this was part of it being discharged , he said no its not and that he was going to report to all 3 credit bureaus  with a pending judgment against me , and that I would have to show up for court  if I did not make any payments ,that this was a law firm out dealing with .

The first call I got I fell for...from John spencer and I called the 800 # back...the guy was saying he was calling about a debt from over 7 years ago and I said it had already been taken care of...he started to get pissy with me and I told him he was a bottom feeder and I wasn’t giving him a penny...the calls stopped for a while...now I”m getting a call almost every day and it’s the same voice but the automated Voicemail says he’s John Stratton....same BS....I blocked the number today!!!...I live in Tx and it’s a local number that’s calling but it’s automated ...so I think wherever you live, if they are hounding you...they somehow get a local number to process the call thru....DON’T FALL FOR IT!!!...

I received a call from a Tennessee number 423-558-0299 leaving me a voicemail telling me had 48 hours to return there call regarding pending litigation. I called the the 18882592437 today and spoke with a woman stating I owed a credit card debit to HSBC bank. I explained to her that I paid my debt to HSBC bank quite sometime ago. I then asked for the account number info and the account info does not match any previous credit cards I have had. I even checked previous credit reports and that account number matches nothing. ITS A SCAM!!!

Where can I contact the DNC registry. What are they?

Hello - I received a voicemail message from an unidentified male calling from (302)483-7032 - John Stratton's office stating the same as noted above (possible litigation, failure to comply within 48 hours, good luck etc) and to return the call to (888)259-2437. I believe this is likely a collection agency who has purchased old debts and attempting to collect a debt. There is a statue of limitation per the collections debt laws and I believe if you were being sued you would at least have received notification in the mail BEFORE the call! I will not be calling/responding back to this voicemail and will block the number.

The DNC does not cover debt collections, it is for telemarketers only. Debt collectors fall under the FDCPA laws.

It sounds more like a extortion scam operation considering the first page mentions IRS scam and impersonating officers.

This is a scam. They are looking to get valid credit card from you. If this was real you would get info in the mail

They use voice over IP and numbers can come from your local area code. Definitely scam

yup got the same message you guys did. what a bunch of liars. 48hrs to resolve, good luck blah fkin blah blah blah. some crazy black [***], supposedly named mrs montgomery went silver back ape [***] on me when i simply asked he where the court case was at. she told me it was none of my buisiness, laughed at the fact that i am a stuggling single parent with a special needs son. so rude, then she said fine the sherriff will be at your door with a papers tommorrow. we know where you live and all these crazy ass threats. i think i owed maybe $200 back in 2001 to a scam credit card company. since then they wrote it off. they said they were a law firm. anyhow screw them. thanks for all your posts.

I just got the same call..except its from 4129780414.....pending litagation and to call back in 48hrs...it was a recorded message...said it was john stratton from arbitrary litagation

I received this call.  When I called back the woman who responded got very abrasive and nasty and hung up on me.  Fortunately I recorded the conversation and I am going to send it to the Attorney General's office in my state for their review.  These calls are harrassment.  I highly recommend anyone who calls these folks to record the conversation.  It's simple, all you have to do is put your smartphone voice recorder next to the phone you are calling with.  They will be exposed ultimately for harrassing people.

Yup, I have the crazy woman on recorded line.  I wish I could upload the call.  She went postal on me because I said "who are you folks". She sounded like some deranged person after that and hung up on me 3 times.  Whoever these people are they need to be shut down.  Call your police and state Attorney General's office and make sure you record the phone converstaion.  This is harrassment, whatever the heck they are up to

They called my cell.  lol - People like this need to know by know that we as a society have become PRETTY DARN SMART of there stupid acts.  To the company that keeps calling - GOOD LUCK -
