This Is Obviously Another Scam. The Initial Call Always Comes In & Shows Up As A Local Number, Depending On Where You Live. My Initial Call Came From 724-978-0414, Which Is My Local Area (412 Or 724). The Message Was Identical: John Stratton/Stratten From "Arbitrary Mediation", I Needed To Respond Within 48 Hours, Case #2013-88902, Call 888-259-2437, Good Luck. When I Initially Called Either Number, It Went To The Same Voice Mail, Which Was A Garbled Message Of Some Lady Saying "Tele-Something". When I Called Today, The 1st Time A Lady Answered But Hung Up On Me When I Asked Where They Were Located (Always A Dead Giveaway). I Called Back & Got Another Lady Named "Renee West" Who Told Me She Was In Delaware. She Claimed That There Were Fraud Charges Against Me Related To An Internet Payday Loan From 2010. As Soon As I Challenged Her By Asking Why I Am Just Now Hearing About This & Requesting Some Type Of Letter Or Statement That I Owed This Money, She Placed Me On Hold & Never Got Back On. When I Called The 3rd Time, A Woman Named "Allison Anderson" Answered, Even Though It Sounded Like The Same Person. I Told Her That Since They Couldn't Send Me Anything Showing What I Owed, I Would Like To Send Them Certified Copies Of My Bank Statements. She Immediately Was Like, "Well You Can Fax Them", But I Was Adamant About Mailing Them, So Please Give Me Your Address...She Then Hung Up On Me. I Called Back Again & Got "Renee West" Again...She Finally Gave Up The Address As 1000 North West Street, Suite 1200, Wilmington DE, 19801. I Did A Little Google Search On That Address & Came Up With An Actual Mediation Firm, McCormick & Priore, P.C.. They Confirmed That They Are Aware That This Company Is Illegally Using Their Name & They Are Handling It. I Called "Arbitrary Mediation" Several More Times & Argued With A "Supervisor" Named "Steve Nash" Who Claimed That They Had Signed Affidavits From My Mail Carrier & All Kinds Of Craziness LMAO. He Ended Up Hanging Up On Me As Well.

My mother (senior citizen) received the same call today, was very concerned, and called me about it.  She noticed the number they left, 888-259-1437, didn't match the call log, 302-483-7032.  Thanks to sites like this I was able to let her know it was a scam.  Hope someone is able to shut down this sleaze and save lots of folks unfounded worries.  

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Michael, its not unusual for scammers to fake real legitimate business and peoples names...

John Stratton (or maybe Stratten) called from 716-492-8226 identified as in Arcade, NY telling me to call the above number, 888-259-2437, with a case number about pending litigation and must be resolved within 48 hours or they will refer it to my residing county.  Searching on the name and organization, "john stratten, arbitrary mediation, Arcade, ny", the results brought up http://professionaldivorcemediationpros.com twice. I guess it'd be a debt collector since he mentioned pending litigation.  http://www.instantcheckmate.com/search/resultsAPI/NY/Stratton/John or a check for Stratten, shows no names for Stratten, so Stratton should be the correct spelling.

I received a robo-call on my cell phone from 760-314-6246 at 1:37pm on May 28, 2014.  The robot stated: "Hello, My name is John Stratton. I'm calling from arbitrary mediation in regards to possible litigation pending against you. When contacting our office. Please have your case number available. XXXX-XXXXXX (actually gave me a ten digit case number). We have 48 hours to resolve this issue. Press the 9 key to speak with the Claims Processor, or call us back. At (888) 259-2437 failure to comply will result in the completely formalized with your resigning County. Thank you and good luck."  I pressed #9 to speak with a rep and reached Lola Smith who immediately asked me to verify my social security information.  I politely asked what the phone call is in regards to and Lola became very angry and more aggressive.  After going back and forth with her a couple times trying to get her to give me any information at all regarding the phone call, she started calling me names such as "unintelligent [***]."  She threatened me numerous times with "we'll see you in court." I politely asked her if I could speak with a different representative since she was so upset.  She was unable to transfer me and continued with the name calling and harassment.  I hung up the phone.  She already had the first five digits of my social, my full name, and my birthdate information in her possession.  I did not offer any personal info nor confirm anything other than my name.  

Got the SAME call today for my wife.  Claimed a credit card back in 2008 and 2009..  My wife asked a series of questions and the woman told her she had to speak with her supervisor.  She put my wife on hold and never came back...

The number they use here in St. Louis is (314) 596-0856 at least for this go around.
I've gotten these calls a few times in the past and couldn't even begin to tell you the names they used then.
I'm assuming from real debt issues I had the past that they would not be calling you to avoid more legal issues and that a legitimate company would want to send a letter so they can pursue it further.
Can't wait to hear the new name whenever they call from a new number.

SCAM.  Don't call back and don't press 9.  There is no fraud case pending against you.  They're just trying to fish for people that would give them more information.  Don't be fooled by this recorded call.

Received a call yesterday from John Straton (if that is his real name) from Arbitrary Mediation leaving a voice mail message that we needed to call referencing a case number within 48 hours. I knew that this was a scam and I want others to know that it is. I get calls like this frequently. I don't know what I did to deserve all the attention from these scam artists, but I wish I could stop it. I've blocked several numbers, but they just keep calling with a different one.

i called the 8882592437 number back and its disconnected now...does anyone have their current contact?... my atty wants it so he can speak with them

They will change their name and number. The girlfriend/boyfriend duo run this scam and will change it up so often. The John Stratton one is their longest yet. They will prob go back to some Process Mediators like they did previously and new numbers they will call you from once a month but leave a 800 or 888 number up as contact for about 2 months average. I look forward to the day they are caught or [***] the wrong person. My attorney and local police called them and they hung up on them. Told my attorney I was going to jail thanks to him calling. Total sleezebags. I have been dealing with this crap for years. Never had a payday loan but they sure want me to pay for one

I've never done anything wrong in my long life. Many may say I actually work miracles. And to have these people waste my cell phone minutes is downright UN-HOLY. I will be sure to have my father look into this matter for the good of all.

They called me and as everyone else I had 48 hrs n a case number n good luck I called the number but no answer.SCAM I also googled the number n here is were it got me some ppl have nothing else n life better to do but ttry n take from hard working ppl! I'm p.o.'d

They are calling people in Georgia as well from  (678)487-8416. I got someone named Melanie. I asked what this call was in regards to and she acted as if she didn't hear me and hung up the phone.

The worst is that when they call they don't say who they are calling for and what it is about merely that there is arbitrary mediation and to contact them within 48 hours to resolve.

I am getting daily calls to my office number. I tried to speak to someone and was left on hold for 30 min and then hung up on. I've asked several times before when they called from other numbers asking for a co worker to please do not every call this number again and remove this number from the desk line.

they had my social security # and past addresses. what is going on with personal privacy?
If this is a scam they messed with the wrong person the FBI will be informed.
