Said I had a charge and wanted to know if I had made purchase.  I don't have Amazon account,

just received a robo call from Amazon about a order. Funny,  I haven't placed a order with them recently. Said to call 833-850-7135... sneaky . Blocked call.

Legitimate number, sure. However, scammers are spoofing it. If I were to get a call from someone spoofing my own phone number it would be a legitimate number but not a legitimate call.

A man with a thick Indian accent called saying my Amazon Prime account was about to expire and a renewal charge would be put on my CC. I told him I didn't have an Amazon Prime acct.  He said I had to cancel it from my side; I kept telling him I didn't have a Prime account.  He said he was transferring me to a supervisor.  Same person came on the line claiming to be the supervisor and asked if I had a cell phone or android.  I said "no".  He said you don't have a cell phone?  Do you have a computer?  I had had enough fun at this point and hung up.

Amazon will not call you for anything.  They use email.

Got a prerecorded call that said someone had charged my Amazon account for $700/-  If I had not authorized the charge I was required to press 1 and speak to a live person.  I disconnected and did the research to establish if the call was a valid call.  My Amazon account does not show any unusual activity.  Scam

Recorded message stating someone from El Salvador changed my password and purchased over $1000.00 worth of stuff.  Recording said to press 1.  I did not and hung up.  Checked my account and there were no charges.  Criminals are everywhere now and our worthless gangsterment does nothing.

Called and didn't  leave a message..

Robo call just said push 1 if from Bolivia. definitely a scam. Amazon always sends an e mail. If any issues. also you never call the number they give you. Call their number on your account page.

KaysWay...I called Amazon and THEY said it was a SCAM.   The two-step verification if very different then what you are explaining.  First of all, it only occurs if you indicate you lost your password...in this case the calls that are occurring are NOT from Amazon.

Please explain why you think the person you are replying to us calling you?

888-280-4331#00 the #00 was a the end of my number.  it said they were going to be charging me $32 for my Amz. Prime.  (I WISH),,, it was a Robo call.  I called Amz. and that is one of their cust. Svc. call numbers but not with the #00.

I forgot to put something.  I usually don't answer calls that I think might be suspicious, but I had just the day before called about a problem with an order, and I thought they might be calling me about that one, as a few times they have had to call me back.

Says it is Amazon and I just made a 800.00 purchase and stay on the line. Some guys with a heavy accent came on the line and i hung up. Checked my Amazon account-no such purchase
