From what I’ve checked appears to be scam call.

On 04-17-2020 (12:30 PM PDT) I received a fraudulent robocall purportedly from AMAZON.com @ 888-280-4331. Under the guise of "AMAZON.com SUPPORT, robocaller asked that I press #1 to speak with representative.  I did not.  It is a SCAM Call to acquire personal and financial information.  It is not
from AMAZON!  BLOCK THE NUMBER.

Male caller speaking perfect English rattled off his “Amazon ID number” (about 15 digits) then claimed my Amazon credit card (which I don’t have) had been compromised and they had cancelled the charge but I needed to press 1 to confirm.  I disconnected because I don’t have an Amazon credit card, also the whole thing seemed suspicious. On reflection, I realized that it was a robocall. The bad guys are getting more and more plausible sounding.
I checked the caller ID, found it was the number for Amazon, but also saw warnings about possible scams.  Coming to 800notes, found recent reports of what sounds like the identical scam.  One more reason to let unexpected calls go to voice mail, even those from a company I do business with.

Spoofed Amazon robo call. Said I ordered iPhone XR. Neighbor got same call. Be careful out there.

Robocaller left an incomplete voicemail reporting a fraudulent transaction  was done from my account from Dayton, Ohio. It then asked me to press 1 to speak with a customer representative.

Call went to my answering machine.  Caller ID showed 888-280-4331.  Computer-generated voice claimed that there was a charge on my Amazon account for the purchase of an I-Phone.  I was supposed to do something to confirm.  Was sure it was spam, so I checked here.  I hate the creepy people doing this.

got the same call ... went to message.. gave an Id # and spoke English well... but the same thing ..said from Amazon Prime .. and fraudulent purchase of 349 dollars... if you didn't make this purchase press 1 .... only I don't have an account with Amazon ... haven't used them ..so... it's a scam ...

Attention! This number is a scam! So-called Amazon customer service. Do not believe it. Report it to Amazon (the real one) and to donotcall.gov.

Phishing call - pretending to be from Amazon to tell me there was suspicious activity on my account.  Reported to Amazon - and they confirmed they do not call unless you've requested a call and that the number 888-280-4331 is not one of their numbers.

CID = "Toll Free Call".  Recorded voice that said there was "suspicious activity" on my Amazon account.  Don't know what else they were going to say because I hung up.  Don't have time to listen to these sleazebags.  Definitely a scam.

Listened to part of Robocall saying it was Amazon and suspected a fraudulent charge was made on my acct for an iPhone 11. I never said a word and hung up immediately. I checked 800notes and confirmed this was bogus.  It was definitely not Amazon.

One can't say if this is real or not.  Amazon - explains I made a buy using my account with Amazon> They want me verify. I don't have a Amazon Account!

I finally got one of these well known spoofed calls. Caller ID shows AMAZON, and the number legitimately goes to Amazon.
Mine was a prerecorded message saying they had detected the fraudulent purchase of an iPhone on my account. I was supposed to press a key on the phone to reach my swindler.

Some krapphedd calling from 888-280-4331 prtending to be an Amazon rep. I called Amazon and they denied it's from them.

Call several time telling me that someone use my card to buy a I phone and to call them right away that’s not happening
