Call from 888-322-8209 at 4:21 p.m. EDT. Did not pick up. No message left. - garyI have received over 50 calls from yonkers, mod since April. I am getting over 5 a day right now from scammers. supposed charities. It's very frustrating. We stopped answering the phone 4 months ago and I go into e-mail and delete messages they leave. We will never answer another call unless it someone we know. We will never donate to these birdbrains again. It's too bad. They killed the goose that laid the golden egg.
Bye bye and good riddance. I will just donate to local charities. - D replies to Peterfriends@epilepsychicago.org
This is the e-mail address and they said give them the phone # and they would take it off their list. - pjp| 1 replyI've been receiving calls from this number for over a year. It comes and goes in waves, and by waves I mean up to five times a day. Thank goodness for call blocking! I will never, ever, ever, ever, donate to the Epilepsy Foundation!

- Anonym replies to pjpGot this one today. Did not pick up. I have Comcast phones so it shows as "800 service". I would love to block all 800 numbers from calling as I have never gotten one I want to hear from. Comcast does not have that option.
I will never give to these PAID fundraisers. If charities want my money they must provide me a way that does not involve the telephone, and also guarantees that all my donation goes to the charity. None for paid pests. - Laura| 1 replyThanks for waking me up @ 9:11 on a Saturday morning then hanging up on my machine--- greatly appreciate it. Bunch of effing losers...

"hey can i call you back later? what's your home number? - oh, you don't want to be bothered at home? now you know how i feel!" - Home Owner| 1 replyThere are so many solutions to unwanted callers disturbing your peace. READ these posts and do a little research on the net. Otherwise you really can't complain.
Don't depend on the FTC's Do Not Call List as being any assistance. That was a political solution years ago. It has since just become another drain of taxpayers dollars and would be best eliminated.
I want a job with the FTC enforcing the DNC Law. Think of it, nothing to do but collect a regular paycheck!- Caller: Epilepsy Foundation

- Fed up replies to RobertCharities that use telemarketers are the biggest scam going.
The only people who benefit from these "charities" that use telemarketers are the high-paid charity executives, the high-paid executives of the telemarketing firms making the calls, and the politicians they bribe to keep their exemptions.
For Robert and all those who defend their exemptions, which of the three groups do you fall into? - SuzanneThat is the sad part of donating to charities....which I do. You give, they want more. I make it a practice not to give to charities that call. So the epilepsy foundation will get no more from me.

- Frustrated TCRJust called and spoke to a manager, JC who says she will take my number off and it will be in effect in 2 days. If not, I am finding out how to block calls. I am hopeful this will work.....I have donated clothes to them in the past but no more....

- AnonymApparently it's the Epilepsy Foundation, though they didn't leave a message. Probably just the standard "we are sending the truck to your area" call. It was pretty late at night, though - later than allowed by my state's law.

- Paul in NHEpilepsy Foundation / aggressive telemarketers
They have called [6 times 2012] [21 times so far in 2013] I now ignore call but have a handful of times tried to answer fast enough before they hangup to tell them to stop, it is always dead air or a hangup, 99% impossible to get a person. - Average JoeEpilepsy Foundation asking for donations.
