- binky replies to ascension pointi totally agree with u its just that some people dont understand agents and the dirty work that sometimes there is to follow being in a call center and they will never have the knowledge until they experience it themselves but hey if we didnt have people wondering or whining about agencies a lot of people would b job less :)
- bottomfeeders replies to APRS ComplianceAlways record their phone calls, make reports for every call to the ftc and your state's attorney general and the state they are calling from. Document every interaction with them. Send a notarized cease and desist letter. If they call again sue every time they call, attorneys will take these cases on commission.
- screw the banks replies to bill collecterI applaud anyone who screws the credit card companies or banks. My parents died and I did not pay one dime on the accounts even though I could I say screw them all.

- A. Vaughn replies to NEWTI received the same letter but it was collecting a student loan debt through citibank. Which all my loans was consolidated by dept. of educ. it says I owe over $3k and I have to pay in full by debit card or check by phone. They told me that I have 30 days to submit in writing if I dispute this matter or not. It was signed by CHRISTINA MALLEN and they gave me a number 1-877-707-1481, which the number DOES NOT WORK. I came online to actually get the 420 number and it didn't ring at all. It disconnected the call.
- A. Vaughnchristina mallen doesn't even work for AscensionPoint I googled her name and pulled her up under Dennis Johnson. He's a "Director" of some sort for the company, but prior to that he worked for DCM. Even the President of the company, worked for DCM prior to taking on this so-called position. It says that AscenionPoint have 11-50 employees. This outrageous, I've been wrecking my brain trying to remember if I have all my student loans taking cared of and now I get this. *screams*

- TeePeeJust started receiving several calls from ascension point regarding the estate of my deceased father who passed over 25 years ago. When I questioned them regarding spelling of company, what they did, and where they were located (without providing any info), the people adamantly refused any information on the company. Then I was told, they would look up my number. I immediately hung up. I am grateful for the posts from the attorney from Texas and others regarding this unscrupulous company and I hope they get prosecuted for going after innocent victims.
The phone numbers they left for me to call were:
888-806-9074 x4096 Katie Miller

- bbbell replies to Texas AttorneyI keep receiving call from Ascension Point -they leave message asking to speak with someone handling the estate of ____ _____ ( my name). I was so taken aback when I heard this that I actually called the number only to get voicemail. I left message stating that I AM the person they are referring to and that I AM NOT deceased - to stop calling. They continue to call several times a day leaving the same message. How can I stop the calls??
- Lyndi Sweet replies to Texas AttorneyI received such a call today. The person they referenced did die in February 2012. However, she is related to a close friend of mine and not. Unfortunately, I did not ask for enough information initially and I shared the actual family members name. This was because the woman, who identified herself as "Mary", indicated that her call was from Ascension Point in reference to benefits of the deceased person's estate. At the end of the call, I expressed I did not know how or why she got my number as being associated with the deceased. I asked her why did she call me. She said because my phone number came up as someone who was possibly related to the decease. It was at this point that my detective sensors came on because this did not make any sense. I am writing for my friend to call me back so that I can warn her about this apparent scam. I thank God for people like you and these type of web sites that help to unsuspecting people or people that are seriously still mourning their loved ones.

- Vivian replies to Texas AttorneyI am so glad I looked into this as I just received my first call. My mother recently passed away and I was surprised to receive a call in my place of employment as I never provided this information to anyone. I hope you can get some results or find out what it is you can do as this would be a problem receiving unwarranted calls at my place of employment. I will definitely be on the lookout for these calls as I will let them know that I will be calling the authorities if they call here one more time.
