This was Marketlink calling "on behalf of" Comcast trying to up-sell their bundle package. They promised to put me on their do-not-call list which would be effective within 30 days.

this number calls me quite often and its annoying... who is it?

888-438-2427 are now calling every hour on the hour-they started out calling every 4 hours.
I have filed 7 complaints with the national do not call list to no avail!
They simply hang up when my ans.machine kicks in-I guess I will have to go thru the crapola of talking with them and hoping they actually listen to my demands not to call me ever again.
I think a posting of their number with the message call me-on "you tube" would do the trick- You think?

i'm tired of these people calling and hanging up, their a pain in the but,they call and hang up have never left a message, in the last 4 mo's they have called at least 75 times ,I'm and old lady in 70's and don't expect me to buy anything.

This is a number owned by Charter Communications and is registered to a Cahokia, Illinois address (near St. Louis, Missouri).  It calls several times a day, never leaves a message.  When I answer (trying to get them to stop) nobody ever picks up.  I thought automated dialers were outlawed.

Yep, Comcast. Left a "special offer" message on my CELL PHONE. A number that I give to no one, so do not know how they got it.

They call every night around 8:45.  I am now using it as my cue to send my son to bed they are so regular!  Funny thing is, we just updated to their bundle and they are still calling!

They contiuously call my fax line and it is very annoying. I have picked up but nobody answers...want them to stop calling me!

They've never left a message, and didn't say anything the one time I picked up.  They call every few days.

5 times in three days, never left a message. I have voip service so I just put that number on my block list so I won't be hearing from them again. If you get their voip service does it allow you to block their telemarketers??

I called my local charter communications office in san luis obispo, ca and they were not able to get me off their own list. At least a person answered. They referred me to the national do not call list. I won't know if that works for 31 days, so I guess I'll have to endure the 3 calls I get each day.

These folks call all the time.  I am already on the do not call list.  Hmm I may have to become an activist on this...

Four calls a day for a week, no messages left.

This number is from Charter, a person calls every week and asks me if I want to bundle all my services with Charter.  I keep telling them I do not want to.  Why don't they believe me?  Usually I don't answer and they just keep calling several times a day and sometimes in the middle of the night; hanging up when my machine picks up.  Something should be done about these people.

I just blocked them from calling me by using Qwest call rejection. The number that I blocked is 888-438-2427. I didn't answer when they called since I don't answer "Toll Free" calls that appear on my Caller ID.

Called and hung up after 4th ring

I get calls on Sunday, during the week and also at 8:45pm.  They never answer when I pick up and I have left the phone connected to them for almost an hour and when I check it is still connected to their office and nobody there.

Cable TV is regulated by the FCC, Federal Communications Commision.

Next time they call, if they answer, tell them to inform their supervisor that you are filing a complaint against them with the FCC.  If they are somewhat intelligent, then they will realize the more complaints they have against them the more the FCC will be watching them.

Receive this loud squeal on answering machine when returning home and
picking up messages. Very difficult to get this off of my answering machine once it is on. This is after the operator message of "If you want to make a call, please hang up and try again.  These people are most annoying and continue to call.

Received a call from this number today.  When I answered, there was a very long pause, then a guy speaking extremely broken English came on and said he was with Charter, my cable tv provider.  He was calling to offer a special internet rate.  At this point, I cut him off, told him to remove me from the list, and hung up.  Hope this works, or I will be filing complaints!
