- MoxieGot a call from this number on Friday; the message was automated from Charter Communications. I have gotten similar messages from Charter before and ignored them, as it usually coincided with me needing to pay an overdue bill. I pay the bill, the calls stop. :-)

- charter caller| 2 repliesI work for a company that is hired by Charter to make sales calls. We are permitted to call people with whom we have a business relationship, i.e., you're a Charter customer so we can call you EVEN IF YOU ARE ON THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST! If you want the calls to stop, simply state "Do not call me." Then shut up and listen to the VERBATIM speech we are REQUIRED to read to you. It goes like this, "We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused you and will remove your number right away. This will happen immediately and your number will removed from our lists. If you have any other numbers you'd like to have removed, we'll remove them as well. (Pause for additional numbers) If you have any questions, please call customer service 1-888-438-2427. Thank you and have a great day." Now I will tell you that it can take upto 30 days for your number to be expunged from all the calling lists but it WILL be removed. Oh and by the way, telemarketing is HARD but in 2009's job and economic situation, I am INCREDIBLY grateful to be gainfully employed, so have a little compassion for us working slobs, huh?
- Whatever replies to charter callerSince you work, like all of us who pay for cell phone minutes, you don't mind getting the calls at 10 am saturday morning on your only day off. I understand you are employed and have a guideline to follow, but you have to consider a marketing call is not a way to wake up in the morning. Now you being the caller, expecting understanding on the reciving side, should SHUT UP AND LISTEN to the complaints that have arrived at YOUR doorstep. You are the one REQUIRED to hold your tounge and you are the one REQUIRED to take the garbage passed back to you. So sit in your cubicle call center, look at your pre-displayed screen, and take the heat we have for your inconsiderate employer/contractor. If you don't like the responses, find another job or decide on a real career that doesn't suffer in economic downturns.
If it takes up to 30 days to remove the number from the database, your company should state that, and not say "This will happen immediately." THAT is a lie, and we will still recieve your calls for up to 30 days. - annoyedI've had success adding this phone number to my cell phone address book under the name IGNORE. The custom ring tone is "mute," so it doesn't ring and bother me, i don't pay for call time, and if I do happen to see that they're calling, I don't waste time answering it.
- JOe| 1 replyEveryone thinks this number is someone from Charter but its not. It is a SCAM. These people are getting your account information somehow from charter and trying to collect your debt or sell you something. You will notice whatever they are selling you is an extremely good deal or too good to be true. Never give your credit card number over the phone, and if someone tells you they will give you a discount if you pay them right now, Hang up!
- Caller: SCAM
- Call type: Debt collector
- Ben PeaseI got that call. That Motha F*&$er called me at 11:07 in the f***in. Its some bullsh!t. They asked for my social security number. and I be "Who Dis". I'm a Baller
- Sick of CharterI am called daily by them and am sick of it. It's either something saying press 1 or 2 or it's Taylor Johnson calling in a woman's voice. Yesterday I picked up, it was a real human GUY saying he was Taylor Johnson. I keep telling them to stop, quit calling, take me off the list. They need to be reported to the attorney general's office as nuisance calls.

- Not ShyNot sure who's calling. They never leave a message.
I keep getting calls from 888-438-2427 and no messages are left. I called the # back and got Charter. Charter's customer service checked my records and they see no reason why I would need to be called by them.
The customer service rep claims it's probably someone else "spoofing" their #.- Caller: Don't know
