- Janet Whitehead| 3 repliesReceived call from an exceedingly rude rep who would not give her name or ID "collection agency." I sent a letter with copies to verify payments regarding a $75 & $97 medical bill paid by my insurance company except a balance of $18.95. Too, I inquired how they eliminated previous incorrect balance of $170 plus and still have an incorrect balance. THAT DID NOT GO WELL! I requested a letter correcting the matter to include a correct balance. Stay tuned more to come! Have a nice day folks & God Bless!

- Annoyed yet again| 3 repliesWhat they do not seem to have is professionalism and accurate records. Oh wait - that's most of the collection industry.

- Mad as hellMy wife received a call where she works asking for me. Only thing I could figure out is that they were phishing. It also lets me know they have some information about me and my wife. They were also rude and wouldn't tell us who they were.

- Frustrated...I have spoken to these people on various occasions, requesting in writing copies of the offending bills, (one on a bottle of Fluoride that was supposedly $75.00 originally and had worked up a tally of close to $200.00 by the time they contacted me, even though the accountant at the Dentist office had waived that charge!!!) They will file a small collection file away until it can be coupled with some other debt (which in medical billing goes to collections before you get the first bill it seems.)

- Zafer ehsen| 2 repliesThese idiots at this company RPM, have been calling my number for the past 2 years. No matter how many times I call them that the person they are calling for does not live/work at this number/address. It seems you are talking to robots or an imbecile.
I do not know how to block these calls?- Caller: RPM
- Call type: Debt collector
- Reality Check| 23 repliesYou can not block the number because they are a collection agency and have every right to call once a day. If they were SELLING something, you could block the number.
And if you owe a bill , no matter WHY you owe it, they don't have to be sympathetic to your situation. If you owe someone money, for any reason, they are not going to be nice about it.....They hear every excuse in the book, I'm sure, so they don't know who is telling the truth and who is just lieing to get "sympathy" and to stale paying the bill....
As far as insurance goes...it isn't THEIR fault either that YOUR insurance company can not seem to manage to file a simple claim.
So the point is, you want them to be patient with you, but you also have ot be patient with them....they HAVE to call because that is what they get paid for...and they get paid great money to do it too.... - Check This replies to Reality Check| 2 repliesLike most collection agencies, these morons spend most of their time contacting the wrong people: neighbors, friends, relatives. And, like most collection agencies, the debts they're trying to collect are usually so old they're time-barred from collection. I dealt with these idiots a while back - they were looking for some distant relative, a fifteenth cousin or something. They were repeatedly told they had the wrong individual but kept calling anyway and though they obviously were convinced that I owed them something, they NEVER sent written validation as required by law. So I COULD AND DID BLOCK THEM. Plenty of cable companies will provide phone service that allows blocking/forwarding of numbers. There are devices on the market that will do the same thing. So I blocked one of their numbers and forwarded another to a porn line and another back to their own company. And I've lived happily ever after and there's not a damn thing these idiots can do about it. I'd advise everyone posting here to treat these bottom-feeders with the same belligerence that they treat everyone else. It's all lowlifes understand.
- ec replies to Reality CheckPUH-leaze! A consumer can block any phone number they choose. Collection companies -- as with any other business -- don't enjoy some special exemption in this regard.
If anyone is being annoyed by collection calls -- whether it's their debt or not -- they have the legal right to direct the collection agency to cease all attempts to contact them. Blocking a call is a nice touch, but all the collector has to do is call from another number. So sending a cease-communication letter to the collector is the most effective course of action. (Here's a nice sample of such a letter: http://budhibbs.com/cease_comm.htm ) And, best of all, if the collection disregards the notice to cease communication, they're in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and subject to fines.
But being a debt collector, I'm sure you're already aware of all this. - PeteGot a abrupt message from a woman who said to call her at 888-582-3359. The caller ID was 865-971-3850. Probably a collection agency. I purposely withdrew the last of some money from a four year old account using PayPal and the bank, who never had an overage or insufficient fund withdrawal, was charging me extra fees. I paid the fees. Now this. Get a life people.

- BI keep getting calls from this number, too. I am making payments on my medical bills so I have no idea who they are or what they want. I do not answer calls that say anonymous or unknown and dont know too many poeple who do answer these calls without caller ID. I get told to call "Lucy", "Kristin" and some guy named Randy maybe? I will not call them unless they are curteous enough to leave a detailed message and not leave the impression that they are a mysterious unknown person!! I pay for my cell phone minutes and therefore will not waste them on unknown people. So, if anyone reads this message from this company you can be assured that you will not recieve a call from me until you respond to my voicemail like a business professional. Thank you and have a nice day!!

- TH replies to Janet Whitehead| 1 replyI received a call from withheld. The return call number was 888 582-3359. I called and a man answered and would not give a name or company except-RRC. He was very rude and only wanted my phone number. I asked if he needed my name. I finally let him hang up on me. He repeatedly asked for my phone number and hung up when I would not give it to him.

- SOLDIER-RETIREDNO PHONE ID AND WHEN I CALLED THE NUMBER THE PERSON ON THE OTHER END HE WAS VERY RUDE AND AVASIVE, A REAL ASS- I DO NOT OWE NO ONE. THERE MUST BE A HARRASMENT LAWSUIT HERE.

- detiredthis company which name is suppose to be RRC Collections agency should be reported for calling people that they have no record on you. I do not owe any bills with these peoples, so they are eigther stupid or down right ignorant.
- Caller: RRC Collection Agency
- Call type: Debt collector
- Conceredcaller "james freeman" called my private unlisted cell phone only identifying himself as RRC and upon repeated enquiring would only tell me this was a private matter from a "financial institution". I called back asking what "RRC stands for" the woman who answered gave me no name but identified the false name they've connected to my private cell phone. I am a victim of extreeme identity theft. My medical, pharmacutical, seven cell phones, my families private phones, my banking has all been hacked into. This company claims to "clean up computers" somehow and I suspect they are not a valid collection agency or financial institution, but a fraudulent place stealing identities and hacking into personal information illegally. I told them I am contacting law enforcement because of their extreemely suspicious behavior and unwillingness to provide verification of who they are and why they called me. What is going on?
- BonnieThis number has called me twice and not left a reason for them to be calling just a persons name and number. I have no out standing debt and will not call unless i have a reason why they are calling.
