- Irritated| 2 repliesI keep receiving voicemails from this number stating they are with Revenue Recovery Corporation, never asks for a person just states that they want someone to call them back @ 888-582-3359. This is the message verbatim: "This is Catilyn, I have a very important message from Revenue Recovery Corporation a call from a debt collector, please call 888-582-3359" (a 10 second message). Although I have the number blocked I still receive voicemail from these idiots. If I was supposed to call you back what account number am I suppose to reference? What and Where is the debt arising from and from what time frame? This is shady beyond shady if you ask me, but you can rest assure that I WILL NOT BE CALLING THEM BACK NOT IN THIS LIFETIME!
- Caller: Revenue Recovery Corporation
- Call type: Debt collector
- Anonymous replies to Irritated| 1 replyI received a similar call to the one above at 9:53 AM. The voicemail sounds like a robocall, never gives a name or a reference number, just says they want someone to call Revenue Recovery Corporation at 888-582-3359. I have no current debts that should be in collection, and based on the reports above I am inclined to doubt that this is legitimate.
- BigA replies to AnonymousDebt collectors don't care whether you owe or don't owe, they simply want someone, anyone to pay them. Using the information CWG40 has provided on page 6 of this thread:
You need to send them a certified, return receipt cease and desist calling letter (think of it as the best $6.47 you ever invested). Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it. Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter. You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to. Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment. If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it. Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front): http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

Read up on your rights here and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.
List of State AG’s offices: https://800notes.com/faq/attorney-general - Laurie BThey tried to say that I owed for a hospital bill from mid year last year. Wrong. My deductible and out of pocket is met the first month of every year thanks to an $8000 a month medication! I check every claim that is filed and dispute illegal claims. Every claim filed last year was paid in full. I told them that they better send an itemized statement showing dates, times and services because it sounds to me that the hospital is trying to double bill for something that's already been paid. They tried to say they couldn't do that so I asked how they expected me to pay a bill unseen? They said "we told you how much it is" I replied " did you say the line is recorded? She said yes. I said good! I refuse to pay for something that has already been paid. Send me an itemized statement of your claim of me owing money or close this case. She said I told you I can't do that. I said then apparently your agency is a fraud. Don't call back. Then hung up.

- MichelleI am thankful for someone reporting the company RRC. These folks are annoying as it gets. I was in a car accident and when that stopped paying, my Medical insurance kicked in, or was supposed to. The doctors office staff whoever typed something up wrong and my insurance would not pay it. So the office sent me a bill and I fought it and said your office your error, not mine. You deal with it. So they turned over to collections. Still not my problem. I blocked the number.

- J.R.I, too, received a call on my work cell. When I started to answer with my usually greeting, he began to talk over me before I finished the first word (again work cell- I have to answer with the name of the company followed by this is J.R.) I tried again "This is J.R. Can I help you?" but he spoke over me again. "Hello" His response "Well if you'd stop talking over me, I could tell you what I want". Then he asked for someone not with our company, huffed, said fine and hung up. Not professional or a decent human.
