ARM's are an altogether deceptive mortgage structure...  Get out of it and get a fixed if either, A your monthly payment has not gone up so much that your credit debt to income ratio is not destroyed to refinance or B if you are close to the end of your loan and rolling another 3-5K for refinancing in wouldn't hurt you!

Good Luck!  Take the bi-weekly or overpayment approach to increase what your paying in the short run and decrease the OVERALL amount your paying in the long run like anonymous was explaining...

"shut down?"  yeah thats fine , but how about let these people who rip off (innocent naive consumers,  such as myself), spend some prison time for thieir mis-deeds?
sitting in prison will let thenm think about what they did.
but these people will be conjouring up other scams while they wait their time out in prison, for when the day they are released. They have no concience.
    Lesson learned,.... buyer beware

Unfortunately, financial scammers who use paper and pencil and keyboards rarely get jail time and they know it. Use a knife or gun then get jail time, not so for "non-violent" financial crimes and why it's probably the fastest-growing crime sector today (high profit/risk ratio). Canada has recently stiffened penalties against financial crimes because the Gov recognizes that "non-violent" paper crimes can be equally violent over time like when your retirement savings have been stolen and you have to live on handouts for the rest of your life, one medical emergency and you are bankrupt.

    Former Employee
    Hello All,

I'm sure you've read all the posts and I will just add this:

I used to work for this company and they get you all hyped that you are getting people refunds on their mortgage audit. I believed them so that is why it was an easy product to sell. After only two months I knew something was up and talked to one of the "auditors. They are regular employees with no special knowledge or training. One of them was honest with me and said that he has only seen two people get refunds ($200 or less) in the 8 months he has worked there.

Its all about the Software they are trying to sell!! If the product is so amazing they should sell it on its own merits (I have never actually tried the program) and not be deceptive on the audits.

I quit this job and hope I didn't put any homeowner in too bad a situation. I'll be more careful on my next job.

Just thought this chat string could use some reliable info from a former employee of this company.

no address on my letter and phone number is 888 407 7179, seems to good to be true.  I think it's strange that everyone gets different pricing quoted to them mine was 269.00 to do the audit.... I am sure there are many mistakes out there but who even knows if they do the work, they state they will refund but I have been told that before, good luck getting it, seems like high blood pressure and a headache.... no thanks....

I received a letter with an expiration date of 2/1/12.  They still honored my call.  After speaking with a Martha, the 249.00 fee came up.  I asked her how am I guaranteed I will get my money back, she said our conversation is recorded.  I asked how do I get a copy of the recording?  She said I would get an email to confirm it.  I asked her is I can have the name of the attorney's representing them.  She said they do not have attorney's.  I asked her who represents them if they are sued and she said she does not know. After more questions about attorney's she said they do have them but she does not know who they are.  I asked her how do I know they are reputable, she said check us out at the BBB and she hung up, obviously frustrated I was asking too many questions.

Re. "They still honored my call," scammers have never let an expiration date stop them from trying to get their hands on your money!

Just received a scam letter from Mortgage Auditing Program.  Knew it was a scam right off as the info on the home loan was completely incorrect.  Date was bogus and over ten years off.  Loan amount was incorrect by $200k.  The home I live in now I NEVER had a mortgage on.   How should I report these thieves?
    I live in NY.

Mortgage Auditing Program, Division of A.M.T., 831 E. 340 S. Suite 150, American Fork, Utah  84003 Latest phone #'s  1-888-852-0568  (Fax# 925-826-0860 Concord, CA.) Two different calls one fee was $199. & the second call, the fee for their audit was $249.  When I started quizzing the caller, their discomfort was obvious.  Claimed their website was AMTdivision.org  ~ then stated their parent co. was B.B. & CRM Ventures.  I asked for what B.B. stood for, contact #'s and websites and we were magically disconnected!!  BEWARE... very deceptive practices.

AMT Division did an audit on my mortgage and did a great job!! The staff was good to work with, they had my results in a timely matter, as well as they helped me get back $2,248.00. The debt cancellation plan is a good plan but was easy to cancel and I never have been charged the $49.95. The $269.00 charge was fair and I was happy to pay it. This company is fairly new but a great tool for people to use I would recommend it to anyone!!!

WOW  you need to get a life!!  Yes AMT gives rebates, yes there is a certain amount of marketing with this company, but if you follow there protocol it works out great!! I had a audit done by this company and within 30 days I received a complete refund!! Now I know that my mortgage is correct and with very little hassle. Maybe you should do a little investigation before you draw conclusions and start slamming a company that practices good business!! As far as the debt cancellation program goes it is optional. I commend this company on a good job done!!

Well, good for you Homeowner... I mean Happy Customer!! Unfortunately, Former Employee alleges on 9 Feb 2012 https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-888-681-9902/8 that "After only two months I knew something was up and talked to one of the "auditors. They are regular employees with no special knowledge or training. One of them was honest with me and said that he has only seen two people get refunds ($200 or less) in the 8 months he has worked there" so most of your... I mean AMT's victims got nothing and had to scramble around to find the rebate form, IF they even knew they needed a form in the first place, that AMT keeps MOVING AROUND on their website so you can't post a reliable link to it. And why doesn't AMT include the rebate form with the audit results that are sent to the victim when the audit finds nothing? "debt cancellation" is idiotic scammer speak for PAYMENT. Still longing for the good old days of "interest cancellation" pitched by United First Financial on their Money Merge Account (forerunner of AMT's 30to8 Debt Software)?

"follow there protocol" is scammer speak for "find the rebate form." "a company that practices good business!!" is nonsense and let me show you how. The deck chairs on the Titanic have been rearranged again. Both AMT (once registered to COLTON MOODY) and Enlightened LLC used to be registered to MARK SULLIVAN but registrations have been changed.

AMT Auditing Services LLC https://secure.utah.gov/bes/action/details?entity=7968758-0151 registered to Chance 1 LLC.
Chance 1 LLC https://secure.utah.gov/bes/action/details?entity=7437501-0160 registered to AMT Auditing Services LLC.
Double Rainbow LLC https://secure.utah.gov/bes/action/details?entity=7822422-0160 registered to Chance 1 LLC.
Enlightened LLC https://secure.utah.gov/bes/action/details?entity=7807703-0160 registered to Double Rainbow LLC.

And get this -- ALL 4 of them use the SAME address on their registrations 826 EAST STATE RD STE 210 AMERICAN FORK, UT 84003 down to the SAME suite number 210. Hahahahahahaha! ROFLMAO! Hahahahahahaha!

AMT and Chance1 being registered to each other is like INCEST and let's look at how the 4 are linked together.
    AMT=====Chance1-----DoubleRainbow-----Enlightened      (===== denotes incestuous link)
Enlightened is now *THREE* links away from AMT so SOMEBODY really wants to distance Enlightened from AMT and to get MARK SULLIVAN's name off those registrations.

AMT and its DBAs (CRM Ventures LP, Enlightened LLC, Mortgage Auditing Program) still has a F=FAIL rating and 17 complaints with the BBB, 11 of which AMT FAILED to respond to http://www.bbb.org/utah/business-reviews/loan ... ork-ut-22302183 and CRM Ventures LP and Mortgage Auditing Program still have *NO* business license in violation of Utah state law.

The BBB says "The company sends out notices to consumers stating "you may be owed a refund of several thousand dollars from your mortgage lender." For $249 the company performs a review of the payments you have made to your mortgage lender. Consumers are also asked to sign up for a trial subscription of the business's debt cancellation program. The business asks that the consumer to agree that after 30 days of using the program for free a monthly subscription fee of $49.95 will be charged. Complaints received by the BBB allege that they don't remember signing up for the debt cancellation program, refunds are not sent in a timely manner and slow customer service in resolving issues regarding the monthly fee or credits/refunds."
"Complaints ... allege that they don't remember signing up for the debt cancellation program" confirms the negative-option nature of the offer. If you bought the audit, you also bought the software, only you didn't know you'd bought the software because you weren't told about it during the audit sale and a $49.95 charge will show up unexpectedly on your credit card 30 days later. Unless it's been changed, it used to say on 30to8.com that there are NO refunds whatsoever for the monthly software charges. You can cancel the software offer and you can use the software through the month that you're paid up for but there is NO refund for full or partial months which may explain "refunds are not sent in a timely manner and slow customer service in resolving issues regarding the monthly fee or credits/refunds."

Still think AMT is "a company that practices good business"? Hahahahahahaha! ROFLMAO! Hahahahahahaha!
