The expiration date introduces a sense of urgency to try to push you into buying the audit. Don't buy it. If you call them after the expiration date, I bet they'll still be willing to sell you the audit. Scammers aren't going to let an expiration date stop them from getting their hands on your money.

AMT is no scam - used them and pleased with the results. If you don't get a refund AMT will refund your money. How can you go wrong. Just because you don't want to do it or don't like their marketing letter doesn't mean they are a SCAM - get a life - find something more productive then to write stuff you really don't know anything about.

Division of A.M.T. Mortgage Auditing Program is all that is on their letter---no address, just a 1-888-852-0568 phone number to call...very suspicious looking letter, not requiring any real skills to write the letter...definitely not a professional. Keep away, tell your elderly family members especially! BAD fraud!!

"AMT will refund your money" isn't quite right, is it? AMT does NOT gives refunds, AMT gives rebates http://www.differencebetween.com/difference-between-refund-and-vs-rebate/ so I will have to APPLY for a rebate of my OWN money, wouldn't I? Why doesn't AMT just RETURN the fee if nothing is found? Better still, why doesn't AMT charge AFTER the audit, and ONLY if something is found? Why does AMT want me to pay UP FRONT? Why, that's because AMT NEEDS MY ACCOUNT INFO IN HAND UP FRONT to charge $49.95/month for the useless, negative-option 30to8 Debt Software I will be signed up for regardless of whether I want it or not and which is TOTALLY UNRELATED to the audit. The 30to8DS is nothing but accounting software that you can buy elsewhere for a 1-time charge of ~$100 (Intuit Quicken, Microsoft Money, etc.). That's equivalent to 2 months' worth of the 30to8DS and after 2 months' use, you will be LOSING money for every additional month you stay on the 30to8DS. If it takes you 10 years to pay a 30-year mortgage on the 30to8 Debt Software, you will be paying AMT 49.95*10*12=$5,994 for 10 years' use of the 30to8DS and this is difficult to do for the average homeowner so you will likely pay MORE than $5,994 to AMT (at the rate of $49.95/month). If you buy Quicken or Money, it'll only cost you a 1-time ~$100 up front and you can keep using either FOREVER FOR FREE while AMT will keep charging you $49.95/month as long as you use their 30to8DS. The 30to8DS is potentially a HUGE money maker for AMT and EXACTLY why AMT really wants to cram this down victims' throats. WHAT A RIPOFF!!! And the REAL TRUTH is you don't need *ANY* software to pay off a 30-year mortgage in 10 years. All you have to do is make massive monthly payments to your mortgage (as much as you can muster given your monthly income and expenses) and the more you pay, the earlier you pay it, the lower the interest cost will be. But now may NOT be the best time to prepay mortgage principal given the ~1 million foreclosed homes on the market and the additional few million foreclosures that will be coming on the market in the next few years. Now is the time to save cash instead of paying it towards your home that will likely continue to depreciate in value given the present glut and future oncoming stream of foreclosed homes. But AMT *WON'T* warn you about this, will they? AMT does *NOT* have victims' welfare at heart, AMT only wants victims' $49.95/month, and you claim it's not a scam! Hahahahahahaha! Why does AMT use the Wells Fargo logo without permission as currently reported by the BBB? Hahahahahahaha! And AMT has an F rating with the BBB -- if I want an audit done, regardless of whether AMT is a "scam" or not, WHY ON EARTH WOULD I USE A DBA COMPANY PRETENDING TO BE A LLC THAT CURRENTLY HAS AN F=FAIL RATING WITH THE BBB? Hahahahahahaha! Hahahahahahaha! Hahahahahahaha!

I got the letter today and called the company. All sounded good but I told them that before I fork over a nickel, I would do some do diligence. I asked the name of the company and the name of the owner. The owners name is Mark Sullivan and "Earl something". I go to the Salt Lake area every other week on business. I will make a stop at their office and give it the smell test and report back. I want names of satisfied customers that I can call. If they don't give them to me, they fail. I also asked for a copy of the contract. They said that the contract is verbal and I would get it in writing after retaining them. I told her that I don't do business that way and to e mail me the signed contract and I wiuld review it prior to paying. That was an hour ago. We will see...

Colton Moody, Earl Kioske and Mark Sullivan are all crooks! the mortgage audit software and the ARM audits are nothing more than bullcrap! Plain and simple. they have people they pay $12.00 per hour that are there auditors, no one at the company is a licensed CPA or has a mortgage experience. this is a scam just like all of the others that Colton Moody of Cedar Hills has going. Just google his name. Enlightened, AMT, MOA ect..........contact your current mortgage company and get your own audit done as they have the ability to audit what you have paid. Look at your ammoritization schedule that you got at your original closing and compare the balance to your last statement. Yes, its that easy folks!

Am sorry you were scammed. If you bought the audit, you were also signed up in the fine print for the 30to8 Debt Software that will begin charging you $49.95/month unless you take positive action to cancel. Last time I looked, cancellation instructions were on the FAQs page on amtdivision.org. You should replace your card/bank account for scammers have it. Consider filing complaints to your state and Utah AG's office http://www.consumerprotection.utah.gov/ and the BBB. The BBB has a report on these scammers http://www.bbb.org/utah/business-reviews/loan ... ork-ut-22302183 or http://www.bbb.org/utah/business-reviews/cred ... ork-ut-22301453 (they share the same phone number 888-681-9902, same bunch of scammers) and you can increase the complaint count on them. Best of luck.

Their auditors are NOT CPA's, they do not have ANY mortgage experience and are paid about $12 per hour to audit your mortgage. SHOULD'NT AN AUDITING FIRM HAVE A LICENSED CPA ON BOARD? Go ahead, ask them about there auditing teams background and experience? There is not one person or client who has got a refund back from there mortgage company! Besides, ALL mortgage Lenders are required to audit their loans for mistakes (Goverments loans like VA or FHA get multiple audits done every year) so why would you pay a company who has a normal person with no experience to audit your mortgage? Exactly what I thought!

AMT Audits, Enlightened, CRM Ventures, The Summit Group. Just a few names.

The prior company, United First Financial closed shop as they got not ZERO refunds for any of there clients and now AMT thinks they can magically find money for people and get it back for them?

I got roped in today.  Began doing research after the fact...  ran into this thread.

So I gave them my information and of course, was enrolled into the program.  I called about an hour later to confirm I cancelled the subscription but no one answered the call.  I then called from a different phone number and it was immediately answered.  From there I was able to confirm cancellation and they sent me a cancellation email...  and told me I will be issued a refund.

I really hope that happens, I will keep you posted.

Just thought I would post in case anyone is having trouble getting through...  call from a phone number other than the one you used for initial setup.

My husband tried calling these people for days after agreeing to this offer...based on the fact they said they were accredited with the better business buearu, first lie. They never stated anything about three days to refused/change mind on phone or in letter, but on the third day sent an email saying that and never answered his messages or calls...then today we get someone GET THIS, the manager REFUSED over 6 times to speak with my husband, then I got on and asked 4 more times, put on hold, I'm sorry the manager refuses to speak to you...WHERE do you ever go shopping or any consumer based business that a so called manager REFUSES to deal with you??? They also REFUSED to credit our card back so...we filed a report with the Better Business, The Attorney Generals Office, The POLICE dept, and a simple call to our Attorney to SUE these people for FRAUD and DEFRAMATION providing FALSE information and documentation. Unknown to them, we have friends at 2 of our 4 network news stations who will air this story and advise even more people. Facebook is another avenue we are exploring to let people know this is a scam.

Am sorry for your situation. When you bought the audit, AMT also enrolled you in a negative-option, 30-day free trial for accounting software called the 30to8 Debt Software. You may or may not be aware that you are currently enrolled in this software subscription but you are. "Negative option" means that if you fail to take positive action to cancel within the 30 days, AMT will begin charging your card $49.95/month so you must also cancel this subscription IN ADDITION to all other actions you are pursuing. The last time I looked, cancel instructions were in the FAQ page on amtdivision.org but they may have moved it. Also suggest you file a complaint with Utah's AG Office http://consumerprotection.utah.gov/ and have the TV station investigator read all the following 800notes AMT pages as well. Best of luck.
