Calls and hangs up, never leaves a message.

They just called asking for some man's name, when I replied that they had the wrong number, the woman then asked if I happen to know this person, with a annoyed response, I replied, "I just told you, You have the wrong number." This number has came up several times on the caller ID but this was the first time I was able to actually take the call. I hope they do not call back.

Two suspicious calls were made to our house today, one of the calls was from 1-888-748-4956. The first one was a local electrician who was looking for some guy named Greg. We don't know any Gregs. We told him he had the wrong numbedr and he apologized. This call was recieved on a personal unlisted cell phone number thats not publically given out. Later a weoman called from the 888 number above looking for Greg, we told her she had the wrong number. She said this call is being recorded, we said ok, whatever, and the call ended. We dont know a greg. I find it a little concerning that these people called on 2 different numbers, one being nonpublic, looking for this guy that we dont know. I find it even more concerning that the woman who called was rude and was (how I see it) illegally recording a phone call she made to us! Iw ill be following up on this tommorrow as soon as business hours are open again. And for the record, we know our electrician, and he knows how to get us if he needs us - so I seriously doubt this person has any real connection to us.

i missed answering the call, but called right back. as soon as she answered she asked for my cap. one accnt #. i refused so she asked for my social. i again said I would not provide my info. I asked if they were w/ capitol one and she said No, allied something for cap. one. I asked if collection dept. she said yes. I said well, i have a credit card only w/ cap. one and i am up on my payments. I have no loan etc. she asked for my ph# to remove my number and again I told her i would not give her any of my info. my # is unlisted and I am on do not call lists, so I have no idea what they actually wanted

THIS NUMBER CALLS MY CELL AND MY HOUSE. I WANT THEM TO STOP CALLING ME.

My husband is 80 years old and he has been getting calls from Capitol One Representatives from this number.  He does not have an account with them and never has had one. They tell him he owes money but they will not tell him the amount.  His Grandaughter has had an account with them before, and we think she has used his name to get a card as her name came up from the Representative.
We would like the calls to stop.  My husband gets very stressed out and upset because he owes nothing to nobody.

They called my mother and were asking for personal information about myself.

We are getting bombarded by calls about a Steven Wallen. He does not live here, We do not know him, and we tell the caller this but still they persist in calling. We never had an account with this company.

Un wanted Call from 888 748 4956.  Want to be taken off their list.

I have recived numerous calls from this number starting at 8 am till 8 pm seven days a week. I do not have a capitol one card and never will.

I keep getting calls from this number and I don't have an account w/ them anymore.  They are calling for my sister and she doesn't even use my phone or lives with me.  Have told them to take it off and they say they will but call again the next day!

I get 4 calls a day, 7 days a week.  Now at least I know they are scammy.  And, I am already on the DNC list.

On caller ID every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times, for over a month.

I received a call from 1-888-748-4956, as soon as I answered they said hello then hung up. I Googled the # & found this site reporting them as a collection agency & also as fraud. I called them back and advised them I did not own a capitol one credit card, they asked how long I have had the phone #, when I answered for over 5 years they assured me that my phone # would be removed from their database within 24-48 hours and the calls would cease. They answer the phone as Allied collection agency.

I keep getting calls from this number at least 4-5 times a day.  And today it was 7. I dont know who these people are or what they want. They bother me on both my business and personal cell. I noticed a comment saying that it was a collection agency. I dont owe anyone and I want to know how they got BOTH of my cell numbes... any way to get my name and number off this list? any help will be appreciated...

The caller from this number was searching for my father-in-law. They are skip tracers, they investigate collections and repossesions. They gather all te information they can on an individual, including anyone who might be associated with tat individual, i.e., employers, family, friends, neighbors,etc., in order to try and get a phone number or address of the individual. They will even use scare tactics to get this info from you. The best thing you can do is tell them that you believe that skip tracing is an invasion of your privacy and to erase any information they have connecting you with this individual and do not call this number again. If they continue to call you can press charges against them. These individuals do not follow the fair credit reporting act http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/031224fcra.pdf

My caller ID for this number says TELEMARKETING but I get no answer to hello. I am reporting this to the phone company.
