Keeps calling Will not stop

I get several phone calls a day from 1-888-748-4956, with no known called ID.  I finally answered the line and firmly told them to take my number off their calling list.

This is the # I got a call from telling me I had not made a payment on my credit card in 3 months so I knew then it was a scam call I did not give any info and had to hang up on them. They called again a few days later and I told them the person they wanted didn't live here any more so they didn't call back til 2 months later with a different #. I confirmed with the credit card people it is a scam

This number calls me two times a day looking for a Lauren, obviously I have someone's old number whom didn't pay their bill.  I've told them several times I'm not Lauren and to remove my mane from the $%^&* list. They have yet to so do.  I will be be calling and asking to speak to a manager today.

No message left, called atleast two times a day, once in the morning and once mid day.

Harassment calls . . . calls me. 30 seconds later calls my husband.  Pick up the phone and it is ringing AS IF I CALLED THEM!

possibly collection agency for capital one as we are over limit....not past due mind you!

I am tired of getting phone calls from this number.  I don't know who it is and I am not late on any payments.  I started receiving calls at work.  It is embarrassing as well.  They have absolutely no reason to be calling me.

Call 10 times a day and hangs up

I kept getting the calls and called them back - they asked if I had a capital one card and I don't and I told them to stop calling me.  They are just trying to get information - don't give them any.

They have been calling me all weekend, starting 7:30 Saturday morning and going until 9:30 at night. Then they began again Sunday. They have been calling me on a business line, and when I don't answer they do not leave a message. Then they immediatly call me on my home phone number and do the same thing! I haven't picked up the phone because I don't answer "toll free" numbers, but I did *67 and then called that number back. They answered with "Allied Interstate."

Received call from this number today.  Glad I didn't answer as the caller is clearly engaged in fraudulent activity. I do not answer calls from numbers I do not recognize.  But the calls are still an annoyance.

are asking for my capital one account number!!

They say they are capital one, but I called capital one and they are NOT authorized by capital one to call anyone. Capital one said to report the number to the FCC.

I have the exact same problem! Its quite annoying... have you figured out how to stop it?

These people suck.  They call me constantly.  I have started calling them back for a little revenge.  I give them bogus account numbers and act stupid. Eventually they get mad and hang up on me. This is for all the people who have been taken advantage of by people like this.

I continue receiving telephone calls from this number, both on my home telephone and my personal cell number. They ask for a person I have never heard of before, and when I tell them they have the wrong number, they keep calling and act as though I have lied to them. I have just moved recently and have these numbers, and I don't know what to do, as they continue to call, at times until after we are in the bed at night.

Please be aware that the toll free call is free to you but each call cost the company money. Please set up your computer fax program to call 1 888-748-4956 when you go to bed. And any other time you really are not expecting incoming calls. Like at your work computer over the weekends etc: Your computer will call roughly 60 times an hour, tie up their service and cost them a few Pennies each time you call. This may not stop them calling you but...

you know why you are being called by a collection agency?>? because you have a debt, and you should pay that debt!

you know why they are looking for that person is because those person have a debt and they have to pay it, and those person are hiding from their debt. they owe money and they used that money well i think it would be fair enough to pay it

it keeps on calling my cell phone but leave no message.
