- SikofitReceived a call yesterday 530-309-0155, which I have since blocked. Now I received a call from the same people using their 888 number. I too had some fun with them. When the person on the other end got tired of getting nowhere, he called me a MF and hung up. I then proceeded to continually calling the number demanding my refund. Must have called 20 times and talked to 20 different people. Got all 20 mad.

- KaseyWBased on the programming of the message, I'm guessing that English isn't the first language of this robo-call generator: "We are calling to refund your money as the company has been ordered to close … downplease call our toll-free number8 … 8891 …96138 to get your refund. Repeating again88 … 89196 … 138thank you. LOLOL
Since March they've supposedly also called from: (844) 433-1666, (866) 613-1877, (844) 485-3666 and (855) 999-1135.- Caller: The Illiterate Scammers

- LyndaReceived a call from 888-919=6138. A woman's recorded voice left a message offering some sort of refund due to a company closing and going out of business. She did not mention her name or who supposedly owed me a refund. So sick of all these robo scams. Second one in two days, both different, but annoying all the same.

- Robbie B| 2 repliesMy friend was swindled by this company as they stated the same Microsoft crap of a refund. Only my friend was told there was a $5,000 mistake and they showed her bank statement which had $5 grand more than the first statement they showed her. so they said they needed a refund and for her to buy gift card at Target. Target would only allow $2,000/day and she bought them. when she had them, she called them back and they told her to read the card numbers by scratching off the back of the card. She did this and within one hour they had cashed the "cards". Fortunately she did not do anything for the other $3K and they kept calling her! She realized she had been taken and called the local police but in Los Angeles where they only have one bunko cop for the whole county, after a week they still have not returned her call! Stay away for this number and the following numbers - 251-494-3707, 347-919-1539 and 800-467-1328.
- Tygerkat replies to Robbie BI'm sorry your friend lost her money but she should have called her bank instead of going to Target. In fact, since they have her account information she still needs to call her bank and close that account!

Something fishy about that story!Quote:Only my friend was told there was a $5,000 mistake and they showed her bank statement which had $5 grand more than the first statement they showed her.
How did they "show her statement" before and after..... over the phone, let alone how did they know the account/routing numbers?
What possible mistake could have been a "Microsoft " one worth $5,000?
Why wouldn't someone rush off and check their bank account first, before running to Target to get a gift card? If I got a call saying theres been $5,000 put into my account by mistake, I would hang up and check it immediately!
I find that hard to believe, since LA has the Complex Financial Crimes Section and there are 4 individual Units.Quote:but in Los Angeles where they only have one bunko cop for the whole county

- Helen WaitBelow is the message left on voicemail and it used a female electronic voice. Call received August 28, 2018 at 1224 pm... “...” used in dialogue below for emphasizing the pause in message, kind of makes it easy to know the person behind this scam is most likely not affluent with English language
“my name is Kathy Jackson...I’m calling you from Microsoft Refund department please... Do not hang up..you have paid for your Computer technical support a few moths ago..we are calling to refund your money as the company has been ordered to close..Down please call our toll free number at 1(888)-919-6138 to get your refund, repeating again 888-919-6138 thank you.”
Then another voicemail left April 23rd, 2019 at 2:24pm. It was the same “company owes money/ordered shutdown” scam using prompted script, nearly word for word; however this time a different 888# ... 888-480-7784 number. It’s frustrating, these scammers need to utilize their skills to get a real job and earn pay honestly!- Caller: Kathy Jackson

- Glenda Apperson| 1 replySaid he was from tech services. They blocked my iPad. The only way to get it unblocked was to call this number. I did. He was extremely hard to understand. Started to ask questions. When wanted to know if I banked on line, how much I had in the account, savings acct., had any questionable activity in my acct..I pretended to be checking. Told him all was well. I shut down my tablet a moment. He wanted to know if warning was still going off. I told him no, it had stopped & everything was fine. He then said if I had anymore problems to call them back…….:(

- BigA replies to Glenda AppersonThey didn't "block" it. You went to a website with one of their fake ads on it and it downloaded java script. The only people who should be working on your iPad would be the official Apple Tech Support and no one else. Your lucky that you didn't let them into it or else your bank account would be cleaned out.
- JD| 1 replyThis number is being shown on a spoof Apple threat warning that came up on line as I was clicking through a Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes email. Looks real. Says that TROJAN SPYWARE has been detected on my computer, that Apple has blocked my email, and that I should call this number to report it. I came here to look up the number.
