- GeeeeeeeeeeksGot a weird robo message on my answering machine that said " Please do not hang up you have paid for your computer technical support few months ago. We are calling to refund your money as the company has been ordered to close down please call our toll free number 888-919-6138 to get your refund. Repeating again 888-919-6138. Thank you." As I have not purchased technical support in the last few months, and general common sense, I knew this was a scam. There was no mention of them being from Microsoft but I think it's pretty funny they're claiming to be to other people and saying they're forced to close down. In what world is Microsoft anywhere near closing down? Bye, Felicia!

- RoeWell, these persistent little pests are determined to reach me and my blocking service is determined to keep blocking them. Again, it was blocked after the first ring. Again I will stress not to answer the call at all. If you can, just block the number.

- Captain Wonderful (B747)Following a long estabished precident I, of course, answered the call as it was after 5:00 P.M. and cocktails had been served. I played around with them until THEY hung up. I'm not nice. I guess!
- DTThe call was disconnected after one ring because I've blocked "800 Service" -- nearly all of them are telemarketers or some other kind of unwanted pest. Thanks for all the info, I'll be blocking this number specifically.

- RaeI received two calls, on my landline, from 888-919-6138, about 40 minutes apart from a "Cathy Jackson" . The low quality computer voice told me that I was due a refund for some tech support that I (well, perhaps not me..because "Cathy" didn't say my name or anyone else's name) supposedly bought from Microsoft a few months ago. What? She said that Microsoft was ordered to close their business. It's obviously a scam of some kind. I had received a similar call like this some time ago. I didn't and would never call the number back, because I know it's a scam. Whoever these people are, believe me, they are only after your personal info and will probably wind up asking you for money, in some way or another. Don't fall for it people!!
