There is another misspelled word in addition to householld.  I'm not posting it so that Mary has to figure it out for herself.

Upon receiving this scam letter, some 'research' of my own, reveals an owner of
the website www.ccdresearchgroup.com. this is the information found using http://whois.domaintools.com/ lookup:

Watch out. If you call that number, you will get dead air and then a disconnect.  BUT they now have your phone number via Caller ID, and they know it's a valid number because a human being (you) used it to call them.  That then is a premium phone number that they can sell to telemarketing companies!

    Apparently ...

    United States Corporation Agents, Inc.
... is, according to Bizapedia,(http://www.bizapedia.com/de/CCD-RESEARCH-LLC.html) the Registered Agent for CCD RESEARCHGROUP LLC.  Take a look at the page, they have, in fact, filled legitimately (fil number 5314518).

HOWEVER ... After a little googling
    opencorporates.com (http://opencorporates.com/companies/us_ri/000529845)
lists them as a *foreign* corporation ... so be *very wary* of this!

I strongly suggest you *not* answer the letter in any way (duh).

Received my letter Mary Evans.  Obviously she is a hired employee working out of her home.  CCD research is fishing for people to attend a Global Vacation presentation.  It lasts 90 minutes so the tele marketing person said.  My husband and I attended one of these once, just to see.  It all sounds great if you want to travel a lot. We personally don't have the time for it yet and of course they want your money.  You have to buy a travel membership. Which comes in several different cost levels.  Even if you don't buy the membership you are to receive a gift certificate for the Android tablet and a vacation package.  Now comes the problem.  On the gift certificate, there are required participation activities that need to be completed in order to turn in the certificate for the reward.  The sales rep didn't have a copy of the certificate to tell me what those requirements were unfortunately.  Just saying, that there were so many hoops to jump thru to get that certificate completed we felt cheated from our 'Free Gift" and all that pretty paperwork they gave us sailed right into the trash.

checked website domain, is new as of early this May
i see other posts here, scam seems the common conclusion

I think i will leave this matter to the Queen and recycle my letter to a better use, e.g. for toilet paper, perhaps?

A little tiring hearing about people commenting on the misspellings in the letter...People are generally stupid as I deal with them on a daily basis, so that would not affect my opinion of the legitimacy of the letter.

However, I applaud those who actually performed some research instead of just making a complaint here.

Performing our own research and posting it here is how we prevent other stupid people from getting trapped.

Thanks to those who went the extra mile.....it is that information that I was hoping to see here to accurately call this a scam, even if I was a bit skeptical from the start...as someone did say, nothing is free.  Actually, I partially agree with that....it is what you know that can get you things for free.  Nothing is either black or white.

A legitimate business would be extremely unlikely to have not just one, but three or four spelling errors in its marketing material...

Another little note:  If you call to try to find out more information whether it be this one or others in the future, I suggest blocking your number from showing on their caller ID.  This gives them more options to harass you...as we all know the "NO CALL" list doesn't work as many people have complained about that in the past.

    Have a good day!

Got Maty Evans letter 2day and it says they have a free Android Tablet for me to test and included a survey with they would like me to fill out and send back and then I can keep the Tablet.

Tell ya what Mary Evans and your CCDS, LLC, why don't you kiss my azz and tell me how it smells in there. I'm so sick of getting junk mail from bottom feeders like this. Shame they are allowed to exist.

Thankfully because of blog/posts like this one, I was able to confirm my suspicions about receiving this very same letter - thank you to all who took the time to make a comment.  It does have many tell-tale signs of SCAM but, like many others, I was wishful that "it wasn't too good to be true".  On a positive note, it is revenue for our failing USPS...

Got the same letter with all the same information as the proceeding comments.  How they got our address is beyond me.  It is good to check things out before calling.  Sad that people have time like this to waste.  Yup!  SCAM!  Can we report this address and number to the BBB?  Freedom is not even FREE!

    Did my own research.

The house is owned by a Deborah Raleigh.
    Phone # 386-265-1392

I called.  No one answered, but it was 8 a.m. when I called.

They may have left for work.

I was told that directions would be emailed to me.  That did not happen.

    Definitely a scam.
