- robCCD Research, LLC. They use many different numbers including 888-986-8170.
Google them. They are a scam and rip-off. Better Business Bureau has numerous warnings out about them. They change names a lot. Some have gotten the tablet promised but most don't. And it's a cheap chinese tablet. You have to sit through a 90 minute promotion to buy a membership into an expensive travel club. Many have gone ahead and gone through the sales pitch and then either were asked to give up their social security number or have their drivers license photo copied. If you refuse (which you should) you don't get the tablet.
The old adage is still true: Nothing is free! Beware of CCD Research, LLC!- Caller: CCD Reserch, LLC

- SheilaI too received a letter from CCD Research and listened to the sales pitch on the phone....which seemed to go on forever. I set-up our presentation time and was told to be there early. I asked if we were going to be receiving the Android Tablet, the girl assured me that we would be getting it at the presentation. So did a little bit of research and came upon this website and all the complaints, continued looking and was very much surprised to find this website:
http://www.consumeraffairs.com/travel/global_vacation_network.html
Now this confused me a bit, because I have read all the complaints, yet Consumer Affairs has it with almost a 5 star rating, this prompted us to attend the presentation...which after reading the complaints we were not going to attend!!
We attended the presentation, watched the video, salesperson tried to convince us to purchase and again we said "No" I'm guessing his Manager came in and was really trying to push us to buy, but we stood our ground and continued with our "NO" was finally allowed to leave, well over the 90 minutes......BUT....We did leave with a very generic Android Tablet and some little vacation certificate.
I think the vacation certificate will go in the trash as I have read the horror stories about trying to redeem them, let's see how long the generic tablet works....- Caller: Telemarketer

- Heathercanuck replies to Craig| 1 replyI got the Cara Langley return sender in Port Orange, FL. 2 Airline tickets and it says: they are yours! We have already paid for the tickets and you can book your flight at your leisure. It states that it's very important to note that I do not have to purchase anything or join anything to receive these tickets. How can they get away with this? The phone # has "no match" on reverse phone look up and when I searched the whitpages.com, the closest Cara Langley I could find was a 94 year old in Tampa. Mine also came from the Gifting Dept at Carolina Region Awards Division in Raleigh/Durham. How are they getting our addresses? Is there a "do not advertise" website, like Do not call.gov?
- Heathercanuck replies to HeathercanuckUpdate: I just turned the letter over and it says: No obligation to purchase or join anything. Call for Details. Qualified recipients of this mailer will receive 2 Round Trip Airfare and 2 night hotel stay in conjunction with our local travel promotion. Certain restrictions may apply. Vacation taxes and fees will be the responsibility of the user upon booking travel dates within the next 12-18 mos. Not applicable in Alaska or Hawaii. Translation: Time Share Scam. Shredded it!!!
- JamaicaJoeToday I received same letter from CC Research LLC. The sender is Cara Langley 1648 Taylor Rd #464 Port Orange FL 32128.

- wazu013We received the letter yesterday addressed to my wife's maiden name so their list is at least 6 years old. We also get post cards and phone calls offering cruises and gifts. It's a full court press. We were going to call on the android offer however we would never drive 2 hours and sit through a 90 minute pitch to get it.
Thank you to all the people reporting here!!! - thorty replies to Kim| 12 repliesJust rec'd. letter from Cara Langley, 1648 Taylor Road, #464, Port Orange, FL 32128. Offers a Norweigan Cruise Line 8 day 7 night cruise for 2, supposedly sponsored by Smart Travel, a registered agent of NCL. Says "You are going to receive.....cruise plus " Bonus: Two 2 round trip airfares are included." All I'd have to do is call 888-386-4716. Letter also states that "This is not a timeshare or land sale offer" but is in "celebration of Grand Opening". Yeah, right, they're just giving away cruises and airfare. Oh, fine print on back - fees are additional (no surprise there). I'm not calling!
- CarolynI got the same letter and called the number provided, and scheduled a appt with them, once I got to the office all it was is a video presentation, the agents explained details about the company and passed out the gifts. Yes I did get my tablet IN HAND at the office. So as far as it being a SCAM I think differently, you will just have to give it a try for yourself and see. HAVE A GOOD DAY!

- ErroniusJust received the same scam, but this time they are pretending to offer an "8-Day/7-Night Cruise" on Norwegian Cruise Lines. No mention of CCD Communications or Global Travel anywhere in it, but it has this return address that can be googled for the association:
Cara Langley, 1648 Taylor Road, Port Orange, Fl 32128
The phone number they gave this time was 888-356-1237
Funny, right below the indecipherable signature was a tiny corner of a QR code... - Mike replies to thorty| 2 repliesReceived the very same letter offering "free" 8 day/7 night NCL Cruise..... with return address as:
Cara Langley, 1648 Taylor Road, #464, Port Orange, Florida
