Not necessarily. I have yet to find a legitimate corporate document - including corporate training materials - in which I could not find corrections to spelling or grammar. Mistakes get overlooked frequently.

I got the letter last week and called to make my reservation for tomorrow night. It took me about 10 minutes to figure out that "there ain't no free lunch." Even sitting through a 90 minute presentation was too much for me to consider to get what is probably a crappy tablet. The 5 day Bahamas cruise would probably involve a cabin about the size of a walk in closet. I gave them a call to cancel and they begged me to reconsider. Funny though, it was the misspelled words on the initial letter that was the tipping point.

I received my letter today, smelled a dead fish and googled and found the comments here.
My first thought was that it is another timeshare scam disguised as a free tablet.
I recently had a survey call giving away a free Bahamas cruise (but it turned out to be another timeshare scam) and I gave them my name and address (like an idiot) and I guess that's where they got my details.

There's no free lunch people!

I recycled the envelope and contents.  Our city recycles mixed paper.

I received a letter for an Android Tablet , also.  I'm glad I read these blogs, It is now recycled trash paper!

I got mine in the mail too.  They spelled household with two l's in hold.  The return address is 1005 River Knoll Drive, Holly Hill, FL 32117 It was a return a address sticker. The postage stamp was not postmarked either.  Phone number to call is 888-986-8173.  Package code 1199-6013-7037.
I was wondering where they got my name also, but I do some online survey thru Survey Savvy.

First thing I always check when "OFFERS" are mailed.......Google it.  You can also be specific and type in the offer followed by scam? and you'd be surprised what comes up. Hey, save yourself about $40,000.oo and go out and buy an Android tablet, and it probably won't take you 90 minutes either.

Ha ha ha,..want to mess with them? Call the number from a payphone. Get all your friends to call from different payphones. Post the number on Facebook asking ppl to share the post and make the call from a payphone. Smile as you realize their phone system is being tied up calling no one.

Letter arrived today from Mary Evans.  After researching offer found many postings that it is fraud.  
Wish info was not sold so freely.

It didn't dawn on me right away, but the letter ( to my wife actually ) had her name misspelled. The only other junk mail we get with her name misspelled is from Bank America.....so obviously they sell names to other parties.

Finding this website helped confirm the obvious, that this is a scam.

They misspelled my last name on the letter so I know where Mary Evans got my name. I attended the 2013 International Motorcycle Show back in January when it came to my state. I filled out a few "win this motorcycle" drawing slips just for the heck of it. I ALWAYS use my cell phone number instead of my home phone and I purposely misspell my last name a certain way to give me an idea where my junk mail and spam comes from. Haven't been there in a couple years so I haven't done this in a while. Well, within days after the show, my cell phone EXPLODED with phone calls from strange area codes that I never answered and they never left a message. Dozens of different numbers and the calls continue today 6 months later. Every now and then I would call one back but always got "this number does not accept incoming calls". I decided to answer one one day not long ago and they tried to tell me I won a vacation but first I had to attend one of their seminars. The caller said I registered for the drawing at the motorcycle show (I don't recall registering for any vacations at the show, so it must have been in the fine print on a motorcycle drawing) so that confirmed to me at least one source where all the strange calls had been coming from. The Mary Evans letter is the first junk US Mail that I have received with my pet misspelled last name though.

Oh well, more paper for the recycle bin and one complaint to USPS.

I work in law enforcement and it amazes me how many people (usually the elderly) fall for scams to the point that they send the scammers money, sometimes huge amounts of money.

10 questions survey for a tablet is really fishy

My letter came today with the first sentence "We would like to invite your householld to participate in our marketing survey..." (sic).

I laughed when I saw the typo 'householld'. Obviously a SCAM - what a bunch of clowns these companies are. Nice thread guys! My letter came from Patricia Smith; same address as the others.

Ther is no L.L.C. listing for CCD Research L.L.C., at Sun Biz.org... For the State of Florida.

Wow, I received the same letter, stating that I will receive a FREE ANDROID TABLET COMPUTER, to participate in there marketing study promotion, once I have tested the tablet, I'm asked to complete a survey. Why do these people/company exist.

My wife received the letter today. Same misspellings but this letter was from Patricia Smith ( I guess Mary changed her name)

The return address label is something you woiuld order for personal use thru one of those check companies...really people?  How stupid do you think I am?!?!
When I tried the website it says it does not exist....interesting.

A total scam:  reported the letter I received to FL State Police.

received the letter in the mail today.  Patricia smith the illegitimate daughter of Mary Evans signed off on it.  Did not correct either "householld" or "recieve" misspellings.Called the number but first dialed *67 as that institutes call block.  Put on my lonely, "will you be my friend as I am in a wheelchair voice living on public aid voice"  once you indicate you are on aid or recently filed bankruptcy they change their tune and rid themselves of you.  I like the posting idea their number on FB!  fighting fire with gasoline.
