My wife received a call today from special investigatorDonnie Brown advises that she had a court action and a restraining order and to call with in 24 or 48 hours or to turn it over to an attorney, which I am, to "propose" this matter. I tried to return the call only to be left on hold forever.

First of all, if there is a court action or a real restraining order, there has to be a suit and you have to be served with legal court documents. These people have no clue what they are doing except taking advantage of those that do not know any better. I was hopeing to get a hold of someone because I was bored at the office and wanted to give them an ear full. Next one who gets to talk to these people have fun but do not give them any information. Ask alot of questions and push back for fun.

Thank you to all who posted regarding this phone number.  I received a call from them today and initially thought it was a case of mistaken identity.  The woman said she would remove my number from their database.  However, several hours later two of my brothers received calls looking for me and saying that there was a case filed against me.  I called the number again to inquire why my family was being harassed and was told that I would be receiving a subpoena and could go to court to resolve it.  When I tried to find out more information both times they hung up on me.  The scary part is that they had the first three numbers of my social security number.  I had called my local Consumer Protection Office about this and they had no knowledge of this outfit.  I will be following through with a complaint to them so that they can warn anyone in the future.  I urge others to do the same.

I received a call yesterday from an man who identified himself as Steven Cross stating that a complaint had been filed against me and that I should call this number 972-234-8700 as soon as possible my reference # is OEV2133.  PLEASE PEOPLE DO NOT SEND THESE PEOPLE ANY MONEY as I can tell from all of you, you are aware that this is a scam.  I used to get these call from someone with a foreign accent sometimes as early as 6:00 in the morning.  They think they has wised up and are using American sounding people thinking we will fall for this.   I am warning all of you don't fall for this you will never get any documentation once they receive the money.  I am also sorry to tell you that they will let up for a while then start back.  I don't have a answering machine at home now because of them they were very distrubing and upsetting.  If we all keep putting this type of information out hopefully it will save someone else from having to go through this unnecessary foolishness.  Let's pray that someday soon they will be stopped.

Well thats the name i give them.its funny the mes they left sounds almost the same as those [***] carpet riding bassholes from the so called law group of california who is also a debt collector/management/scam artist company trying to scare you into making the mistake of giving them auth to take money from your accts or the rest of your personal info like whole ssn or current address for ident thefti think in my opinion they are all linked somehow it used to be [***] with american names now they have americans to throw you off some resent numbers for the sand monkeys in california are 661-727-3076 ext 2120  or 760-935-3936 or hundreds of others look them both up they have a lot in common. i screw with them every chance i get including this new one to me the legal sec bureau hey they wast our time so why not call them and keep them on the ph wasting there time have fun with them but block ur number ie *67 and dont give your real name orpersonal info see how long you can keep them on the phone

Susan Jones called and me a message stating that I owned some payday loan company $1079.00. When I asked who the company was all she said she could not tell me. The phone message also stated that there was a restraining order and sapina being issue against me. How can I find out who these people are and who can I call to verify this information/

I have been getting the same story as everyone else.  When she asked me to write down the info (my case number is PEL 2010) I asked her to give me more info.  She stated, as per privacy laws, she couldn't reveal any other information.  I've been receiving these phone calls for about a year now.  I actually called my local police department and report each of them.  My best advice, if your unsure of a number, check here, and if it shows up here, call the company back.  repeatedly.  I like to post the number on my facebook page and have my friends call them as well.

call your local police department and file a claim.  there has been a huge number of payday loan scams going around.

I got a call from "Special Investigator Lynn White" at this number.  My claim number is GFM 1909.  I was scared becuase the lady I talked to when I called the missed number.  "Mysteriously" Special Investigator White was not in...but another lady helped me. They have my name, number, address  but I accidently gave them the wrong zipcode.  They said I owed on a payday loan and had 24 hours to respond....  the same as the rest of the "victims". I called my police Dept and they told me to make a complaint on IC3...it is an FBI site that is trying to track these thieves down.

Thank all of you, I just received a calls from an Investigator stating the I have 24-48 to contact them about a claim PEL2725/ but when they first called, it came up Private Number which I didn't answer on my cell, but then she called me on my work phone (which I have to answer ) but this is getting to be annoying and I am just sick of people trying to gain what's not theirs. I got a call on my cell, at work AND they called my best friend!  They said I needed to respond within 48 hours or I would be issued a restraining order!  That makes no sense to me!  Scam!!!!!!!!!

Same exact thing happened to me that everyone is saying!!!  I talked to some 'special sargeant' who said I had 'complaints filed against me' and I kinda wigged out.  I talked to my sister who checked into it for me and FOUND YOU GUYS!

NOBODY GIVE OUT ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION as it is a LEGITIMATE SCAM TO GET YOUR FINANCIAL INFO!!

I had the same experience and made a report back in January. I had to change my phone number and they stopped for months. Now its back. They found my new phone number some how and they did it a little different this tme. The "secretary" called me with the number to call and a case # and said it was a restraining order. I couldn't for the life of me figure out who would have a restraining order against me. I called and wham the nightmare came back all over again. I NEVER took out a payday loan and the account they claim they sent it to isn't even open. I closed that account also I called the banking institution and they claim I have no such deposit into my account.

My wife just recieved a call from these POSes. I called them back asked for the information to be sent to her they hung up on me. I then called again and got to talk to a William Ward (the office Manager). who so unkindly informed me I was a coward. Only cowards are these people

recieved a restricted call so i let it go to voice mail   call came from richardson texas is looking for someone i dont even no says her name is lori anderson and that she is a special investagator  and this person has 24-48 hrs to respond with a attonry, so i call this number back wanting them to take my number off their list some man answered phone very rude am tired of these calls

I've received a call from inspector william Oaks as well on 9/20/2011.stating that I had action taken against me for an unpaid loan. I've been receiving these calls since January 2011, and I  always tell them to take me to court. Anyone that receives any calls about an default loan or other wise should report it to the FBI white collar crime unit. Give as much info. as you can, phone number etc...also check your credit report and see if anyone has been checking into that your not aware of. If so contact the credit bureau and tell them of the scam and have a block put on your report,only cost about $20

Thank you so much for these postings.  I was up 1/2 the night because of the phone call I got from this guy.  He called my cell, came up as restricted call.  He introduced himself as an "investigator" and said there was a claim against me and that I needed to call 972-234-8700. I asked him what this was all about and he said he didn't have any specific information and just game me a reference # - he said he was just the secretary ( I thought he was an investigator)??    I did call before googling the # - and the girl answered - I gave her my ref # and she said "oh wow - in a "you are in big trouble lady" way" "it looks like they pulled your file", put me on hold and came back saying Fleet Bank was suing me for over $8,000, but would settle for $2,184.  I asked who Fleet was affiliated with ( I know who Fleets is / or was) and she said Bank of America ( I said hmmm I have an account with Bank of America ) AND my credit report is clean - with no mention of this debt.  I then said I wanted her to send me everything in writing, including the settlement offer, etc.  She then said " I'm going to put down that you declined this offer and you'll see it in writing in court!"  and she hung up on me.   Why was she mad at me?  Thank God for these messages.

I recieved  a phone call from the same company yesterday, however they call my brother and mother causing them to worry over nothing as well.

I recieved a voicemail message on my ex-husbands phone from a Richard Williams from "Legal Security Bureau"  stating that there was a legal action against me and something about a restraining order. This of course instantly worried me. I called and spoke with someone who said that it was regarding a debt and that legal action was about to be taken. I paniced a little bit and almost let me good sense go out the window, but I told them I would call them back to pay "thank GOD" I then immediatly contacted my attorny. Who told me that they are not even using their legal "gargin" correctly! A restraining order has nothing to do with debt collecting! This matter is 7 years old old, and the statue of limitation for a debt is 4 years. "IF" they were going to take legal action against me it would more thank likely be thrown out of courth.

Please people. Be VERY careful when dealing with anyone over the phone with sensitive information such as back account information. This is not proffessional, and is not the way ANY debt collection should be handled!!!!

Do they actually want people to take them seriously as a "professional" Legal Security Bureau when they hang up on you once you have caught them in their SCAM! LOL!

Any proffessional company will not with hold their address, I dont' care what they say!

OH! and maybe someone should tell them exactly what a Subpoena actually is. LOL! LOL!! LOL! IDIOTS!

OH and tell them what a restraining order "actually" means. People who have watched enough Law & Order are smart enough to figure out that "restraining order" and Debt Collecting are two different things!

If you recieve a call from these guys First thing you ask is their mailing address so that you can have your attorney send them a letter. Don't let them intimidate you! And under NO surcomstances give them any personal information or MONEY!!!!!
