I received a call from this number on Oct 11,2011 at 6:45 pm. They left a voice mail stating I had 24 to 48 hours for myself or my attorney to contact their office. The call was from a Special Field Investigator Darlene Brown of African American descent. She said It was in regards to me being put under a restraining order. I didn't see my voice mail until 11:30 pm last night, needless to say it kept my wife and I up all night. To me, this is harassment and they need to suffer legal consequences. I contacted my attorney and he is researching this issue for me.

I got the same call from 973-234-8700 once i caledl back these people just want money. Take me to court if you're lagid.

I received the same call from same number and saying all the same things.  His name was Willliam Ward.  His threats sounded so serious and realistic also. I knew I didn't owe the money he said I did to some funky pay day loan. He couldn't give me details or anything about this company, just that I owed the money. I'm glad I didn't give him my banking information. I filed a report through the OAG, the Attorney Generals Office of Texas and also the FTC. Oh by the way when they called my house the number came up anonymous. What kind of legitimate company's phone number shows up that way. I'm so glad I found this website.

They called unknown and then they left a message saying they had a restraining order out on me and a complaint.  Then they gave me a case number.  So I really dont know yet will right back with further information.

Call about someone having a restraining order on me, caller was Tori Anderson.   Told me to call 972-234-8700 in 24 to 48 hours to avoid legal action.  Called the number, VRU had 3 potential selections, I chose 2 for "possible legal action".   Got a Mr. Alex Taylor he gave me wrong address, wrong birth date and he indicated the case would be removed.

Wednesday 10-14-11 I recieved a phone call from Investigator Bonnie Brown same threats as every body else got.  Called my attorney and when he called them they wouldn't talk to him unless he gave them his Bar number.  My attorney said in all his years of being a lawyer nobody had ever asked for his Bar number.  Then I called them back and the lady said You called before and didn't accept any of the offers so we are going ahead and sueing you.  I told her that the guy I talked to didn't offer me anything and in fact hung up on me.  So she started offering me settlement offers. I said I wasn't interested.  She said I would be served in a couple of days, I said well good luck with that and hung up.  They are lower than a snakes belly and probably eat Sh## too!

Just had the same thing happen to me 10-17-11   All the scary legal talk..   Tried offering me settlements ect...   I asked the lady what is was even about, She said I must have a lot of debt to not know what she is talking about, I told he no that I didn't.  She insisted that I pay something TODAY!!!    Is there anyone that these people can be turned in to?

Rec'd a call telling me she was from the Legal Security Investigations Office with a restraining order on this compliant case #000-0000 and I must contact my son @972-234-8700. Freaked me and my son out. My son tried to call and they did have an old address of his and gave him his first 3 numbers of his social security number but then when my son asked her what this was all about they put him on hold and never responded again, please check on this harassment.

Did you give them anymore info than that?   I hope not..  They are scamming!  I was so scared when I received my call about an hour ago.. I FREAKED OUT, then I got on the internet to find out if anyone else had this problem... Thank the GOOD LORD ABOVE that I wasn't the only one..  I wish that we could report them I just don't know where to start.   I did however post all this info on my facebook page to spread the word to other ppl about this scam

Unbelieavable!! In such hard time, people have the nerve to deceive honest, hard working people.  My wife was also called this morning looking for me.  They had me call & said there was a claim against me from a Cash-N-Go.   I've never even been to a Cash-N-Go!  They even had my wife's name, dad's name as references.  When I didn't agree to the law suit, they said they would someone call me back.  I'm glad I looked this "Legal Security Bureau" up to find all these post.  Please ppl, don't get taken by these type of scams!  Never give out information or send money to ppl you've never heard of!! When we called back, guess what, they just hung up!  Darn Cowards!!!!

I got the same message today as well. They called me by my married name which I changed after I got divorced 12 years ago. I called back and left them a message.... actually looking forward to talking to them tomorrow so I can tell them to suck it!

I got a phone call from 972-234-8700. First they a left a message as I did not answer the phone- they were looking for C______ R______, who is my stepmom's name who passed away 7 years ago. They said it was for a restraining order, they gave a case number and advised to forward this information to her attorney right away. After I listened to the message, they called back and this time I answered the phone and asked for my stepmom again and when I said no one with that name lives he (Special Investigator John Archer) gave me 972-234-8700 and advised me to call them right away as my number is one of the listed contact numbers so I can take off my number from their list. I immediately googled the number and found this site. I called my local police dept. to report it but the person who answered said as long as I did not give them any money then I don't have a problem. I thought that they would be more interested and try to track down persons perpetuating this fraud and victimizing people.It pays to be suspicious and very careful.

I know exactly what you are talking about. We just got the exact same phone call. Started with my numberbut with our brothers name. Gave him the info and he called. Started as restraining order then went to credit card debit. Think I am contacting someone about this!

We just got a similar phone call. First it was a restraining order but it wasnt even our name it was my brother in law but my phone number. So we called him and they said it was about a credit card debit. He has never had a credit card in is name. We have gone back and forth with them and they keep changing their story. They said it was Bank of America with outstaning balance of almost 2000. there was no debt then we called them back and spoke to Linda Stevens and they said it was now Household Bank.  So please beware of this scam!!

10/21/11    3:08 p.m.  Got a call from Wm. Oakes  special agent for legal securities bureau. Told me I had a restraining order against me to call 972-234-8700. I called the number. He said, I owed $1500.00 for not paying loan from cash advance america. The bad part is they had the first five numbers of my S.S. Now I'm calling banks, and credit card companies to try and stop them. I feel I've been used.

It said I owed a payday loan not hatched into my checking accountant

Hi!  Thank you to everyone for posting their stories.  My parents got a call today from 972-234-8700, a Mr. Peter McKinley.  He told them that it was a legal matter and I had issued a restraining order against my mother. They are elderly and very upset.  When they called me with the information, I immediately called back and was told that I owed $1,032.20 from an alleged loan that I received in 2002 from the Dollar Financial Group.  I never received such loan.  I was told that I had to resolve the matter in court and that the Server would serve me papers to appear in court in Dallas, TX. They could not give me any contact information for Dollar Financial Group.  Please do not give these people any of your banking information.

I also received a phone call from this company today. A message was left on my phone from a special
agent William Oaks saying that I was being sued and a restraining order was being issued against me. They said that I needed for my attorney to call them within 24-42 hours. They said that I owed HSBC a lot of money and that they were going to put a hold on my checking account and garnish my paycheck. They really had me going and I did call them back. The man that I spoke with was very rude and talked very loud and would not let me say anything. He asked me about my ss number and then told me good luck in court. I called my brother and told him and his wife and they looked the company up on line and told me that they were a bunch of crooks. I am worried because they did have some of my personal info.

Same thing here.  Does anyone know who we can call???  Need to report this to the FBI.
