This morning my wife asked me to call this number and find out what the heck was going on? and why I had a restraining order put against me?. She text me the number and I typed it on the internet to search and wow I can't believe these people. Don't call the number back its a scam.

Received a call from this number this morning, this is a known scan to the FBI.  They try to scare you into paying for a debt that you never accrued.  They get upset when you call their bluff.

A Lynn Wright, the Special Investigator called today to tell me that i'm going to get arrested in 24 hour if i dont pay back some kind of money I owe. It doesnt bother me that they call because i know there make believe. It bothers me that have my name, number and private info. HOW did they obtain these things??

WOW  Im so glad I came to this page.  I have been getting these calls for over 2 years, they are calling for a Cathy Banks-I tell them they have the wrong number but they continue to call.  I just keep saying you have the wrong number and hang up.  One call a couple month ago, I did that and a woman called right back and told me to "F" off.  Today a special agent so and so, said something about legal action and contact my attny and actually left a phone number and a case number.  Its always blocked or unknown caller so I could never get a phone number.  Where do you call to report this place.

I received a call today and basically told the same as everyone else.  I quick googled the number before I called it.  I also called US Bank to confirm I do not have and never had an account with them.  They also let me know that they did not have any court / filing complaints filed against me. :0).

Here is what you can do according the BBB webpage:  Go there and file a complaint.  There company name is on file.. just type in the phone number for the search - you can get their address to file out additional complaints as other sites.

I like your idea... post the number of facebook and have every one keep calling them.  Remember to dial *67 before their number - it will block your number.

They have called me & something told me to search the internet first before returning the call.  They called my job and left a message.  Is there anyway to stop this?

Valerie Bell of Legal Security Bureau left a message on my phone this afternoon. (05/12/11)  She said that I was sued for a restraining order related to a loan from  a bank in Hawaii. She advised that I contact an attorney within 24-48 hours. The bank was willing to settle for a little more than half the amount they claimed I owed to them.  She gave this number to call back (972-234-8700) and a case number.
When I called back, another lady said that if I do nothing I will get a subpoena within 10 days. She didn't want to give any specifics of the case, and when I stated that I never had any contact with any bank in  Hawaii, she said she cannot discuss the case, she wished good luck and hung up.

I received the same phone call from "Legal Securities Bureau" from Steve Cross.  He presented a claim/affidavit number and told me that I was a respondent in a court action and that I needed to contact my attorney and have them respond within 24/48 hours.  He also stated that there would be a restraining order issue against me.  When I called the number 972-234-8700 I got voice mail, left a message....we will see if someone calls back.  

It is good to know that this is a scam -- I am grateful for this website.

I am on hold as we speak with these BOZO's waiting to speak with Torry Anderson, she left me a message this morning saying some mobojombo about restraining orders and attorney's, and a upcoming law suite against me I can't imagine what they could be call me for, from what I have read this is a SCAM, BEWARE.........................................................

Most collection type companies have the ability, even if you didn't call their 800 number, to gain the caller ID information from your call whether or not you block it. In 3 years of doing collections myself, not once did a caller's number NOT appear on my phone. I guarantee some of them blocked it because when they claimed they didn't have a phone, and I read the phone number to them and asked about it, I got a lot of stuttering. It is NOT within FDCPA laws to make such threats as the message I listened to for my husband today. Just file the FTC complaint and don't waste your time with these people. Remember the old 90's calls to your house phone, I'm calling about your Visa or Mastercard, then trying to get you to provide them the information? These guys are no different. Do not call them, do NOT give them info. Go to www.ftc.gov and file a complaint.

I received a call from legal security bureau at my job.  the lady said that that had a restraining order and i needed to call 972-234-8700 with the case number given.    so i called this was scary   when i told them that i have never had a loan with these companies.  when i  started asking questions they hung up.   i called them back and got no answer.  they wanted a settlement payment.     some on eneeds to stop these people ASAP.

Yep, yep, yep.  Same thing, special investigator - so poorly informed, no legal action is going to be taken against anyone without some legal documentation!  There HAS to be paperwork - so don't fall for these yahoos!!  I have 24 to 48 hours to call back?  Well, which is it?  Normally a deadline is a deadline not a range of times or dates!  I don't owe anyone outside of normal creditors anything!  I've had several of these calls over the past year or two from different numbers, somewhat different scenarios - but if you pay attention - you can tell that they are FAKE!  Warn EVERYONE!  Pass it on!  Let's run them out of town!  (So-to-speak).

The same thing happen to me and I was shock because they call my mom and dad house taking bout sueing me f.or a $1000.The call my job embarrassing  someone need to do something with these people!!

I also received two messages on my voicemail from a special investigator William oaks regarding a restraining order that I am being sued and that myself or my attorney have 24-48 hrs to respond to this call or I will be receiving court papers and will be sued.
First of all this scam company needs to research the definition of a restraining order--- I myself work in the criminal justice system and restraining order is when a persons life is being threatened or armed in a life threatening manner...

I also received a messages on my voicemail from a special investigator somebody Edwards. He sounded very unprofessional and combattive as if he has alaready accessed my giuillt regarding a debpt.  He said that this matter is regarding a restraining order that I am being sued and that myself or my attorney have 24-48 hrs to respond to this call or I will be receiving court papers and will be sued.  He was trying to coax my full social no.  I didn't give it to him.  He rad me a number and I told him that that was the owrong one.   He also wished me good luck on this matter.
