Your story matches mine to a T. The incoming calls lasted up to 8 min each time. I called verizon and all they could tell me is that its a disguised number or spoofed. It seems really odd to me that the call lasted 1-8 min each time. People dont talk to people they dont know for 8 min especially if they are being charged.

I keep getting 999-999-9999 numbers on my cell phone bill which are never on my phone as missed or received calls. The calls usually come in between 4:00am and 5:00am. The desintantion portion of the call details usually says 0000000308 or 0000000746. They are always 1 minute long.

I comes up as restricted on the phone.... and 999-999-9999 on the bill. I think you are right... it is a call that has been caller ID blocked on the caller end.

Received 2 calls from 999-999-9999 within 2 hours.  The second call I answered and the girl asked for me by name, said her name was Katie and that she was calling long distance and could I hear her OK?  She said she was calling from some $100,000 contest or give away.  I asked her to please stop calling me because my number is on the do not call list, and she hung up on me!  Real mature!

Got call from 999-999-9999. Caller ID said it was the Sun Loan Company.

Had a prescription filled that had to be approved. Got a call from my doctors office OK'ing everything. Later got call from Sun Loan Co. at 999-999-9999 telling me that my prescription had been approved. This was left on my answering machine. What the h---!

Someone keeps on calling me like 3 or 4 times a day with a blocked number, and I have a de blocker on my phone and it comes out as 1-999-999-9999. Its stays on for a few seconds and after I say "Hello" like 3 seconds later they hang up without saying a word.

Called and asked for me, I was suspicious of the number and said I wasn't there, and they rudely hung up.

Constant calls from this number--apparently a spoof.

I have gotten 3 calls from this number in 1 1/2 years. on my landline phone.
Within 1 week of each call, I lost a loved one. Really scared and spooked I thought they were calls from heaven. Just happy to know, everyone else are getting calls and the number doesn't mean death. whew.!

For the past year or so I have been receiving unknown calls to my cell.From 5 to 40 a day. I have three police reports. They say I am not in danger so it is not a priority. I used call filtering software but the third party software seems to be damaging my phone.  They appear on my bill as 999-999-9999. If I answer I hear a dialing noise. I signed up for trap call they can not unmask 999-999-9999. I signed up for you mail which answers and asks the unknown caller to enter thier number. Because of this feature I can see it is dialing 200 and my land line number. Is there a way to find out who is doing this to me...I have elderly parents so changing my number is not an option. PLEASE Help..

how do you know it is a spoof... How can we unspoof...

we have been getting the 999999999 number on our cell bill and in the desc it has the numbers 0000003019 .. i've called my cell carrier who is Verizon and get told that its a blocked number ( they say they cant trace it .. BS they just choose not to )  an they dont know what the 0000003019 goes to .. i'd really like to find out what or who is doing this .. HELP !!!

This showed up on my husbands cell bill...I just blocked the number on Verizon, SNAP!

I received a call today (three times) from 999-999-99 and its some dude speaking mandarin (I believe). He called twice more, left a voicemail the second time, called again, didn't leave one. . . Weird.

I get them calling my landline, I also blocked the number, but if it'
s VOIP, then they're not really calling from that number and likely won't do anything.
