Please do not allow 999-999-9999 - someone keeps calling - noone there - no dial tone???/

they keep calling us. they keep saying they are from verizon or national grid and ask for our billing info. Do they think we are that stupid? I actually yelled at them the other day and mom told them to never call back.

it's not a bill collector considering when they talk they line keeps breaking up and they ask for billing information. Considering we pay our bills on time all the time...it's not a bill collector.

I received a restricted call, I answered it and this guy was saying talk dirty to me. I said I think you have the wrong number and hung up. In my verizon account I have it set up to show the persons name instead of their number, because let's face it how many of us know peoples numbers anymore. When I looked up that call on my incoming calls it was this persons name I know but when I clicked on the name the # wasn't hers it said 9999999999. So I don't know why it says her name with the 9999999999 #???? Plus it wasn't her voice on the phone it was some guy??

GKR...   I'm with you... My wife received a similar call that lasted for 51 min... I'v had reason to not trust her in the past, so this call make me very suspicious...  I mean, if the call is blocked or restricted(which she says she doesn't answer), then why talk 51 min... I'm thinking the worse here...

Sounds good, but my wife got  a call fron this number the other day and it lasted for 51 minutes...

This number shows up on my cell phone also; the call is always @ 3:30 am.  Have no idea from where this call comes from.  Maybe the FBI can get a handle on it.  It is not right to be charged for a call you didn't not make.

got a call from 999-999-9999 so called Verizon and they didn't know anything about it.

I got a call from 999-999-9999.  When I answered, there was no one there.

This number called my work phone and left no message.

anyone of you a former alltel customer thats been hounded by Verizon to convert your old plan to theirs?

these numbers never started showing up until after they forced a move on the alltel customers

Hopefully this will be a comfort to some of you ladies out there..I just discovered how that 9999999999 comes about...What I did was make copies of my husbands bill and a copy of my bill...I put the bills together and went through the calls...I matched up the 9999999999 calls from my phone calls to my hubby..I don't know why that happens but I was my own culpert...I lined up the ones esp that were 7 mins or longer and matched them up with my calls to my hubby and it was perfect...So a sigh of relief my hubby was not getting phone calls from a gf I thought he had..The poor guy kept saying he knew nothing of the sorts and couldn't explain why those numbers were coming up..There were a couple I couldn't quite match up but they were 1 min maybe 2 mins..So please ladies do what I just did so that you might have some kind of relief that hubby is not talking to another women...But don't get me wrong here cuz they do tend to be also telemarketers and bill collectors as well..When I called this number 9999999999 with or not the 1 it was the State Police and they even said most of these calls are from telemarketers or Bill Collectors..I just happen to be lucky to figure my husbands phone and mine..I will be calling verizon to see why that happens and I also noticed that when hubby is in Canada and I call him thats when it happens...So please ladies before you yell at your husbands please do what I did first cuz I was ready to scream at mine till I found this out...Thank you all for listening.. I got the999-999-9999  call then my pgone started locming up. I got lucky and restored it.Dont Amswer the call.I have put in my call reject list. .. Rhe Hacker tride 2 times in a row and got rejected both times.nothing since then.

how should i get to call from my own choosing number plz show me the process i  il pay for it also

It's a blocked call period.........It can be someone calling that is not suppose to be calling from a bill collector  to anyone that wants to block a number.

This is a blocked number from someone/anyone who knows how to block their number before they call you, but they do not want you to know their number.  I just talked to Verizon about it, and that is what they explained to me.
