Yup, got the same call today. "Jesse" alerted me about the package that was sent. She transferred me to "Sam Davis" after I asked her the shipping company she'd be using to return my 'damaged' package. "Sam" made the Trump joke and then the call started to break up. He knew my name (ish... got the standard mispronunciation...) and the company address, but needed my job title and phone number. I asked him to go ahead and hang on to that free gift. He was appalled when I said I didn't like baseball. (Which was my own lie. But it's easy to get caught up when they get you started, you know?) Scam. Although my coworkers enjoyed my sarcastic face as I was having my "discussion" with Sam.

They (USSP) called here claiming to have a package to deliver and that they needed to speak to the owner of the business. Good luck with that one...part of my job is screening his calls from scammers like this. When I started to ask more questions, the caller asked for our owner's cell #. When I told him I was unable to provide that information, he ended the call. SCAM!
I just got a call from 865-205-9378 (which is out area code) and a woman came on the line stating she needed to speak with the manager, I told her that was me and she told me she needed to transfer me to her manager to make sure all our info was correct for the proper shipping label. A man who called himself "Sam Davis, like the singer but white and with 2 left feet" and he sadly made the same Trump hair joke and asked me about what baseball team I was into, I told him the Tigers since I am from Detroit and then he proceeded to ask me about Latex Gloves and Hand Sanitizer and trying to make small talk. I could tell it was a scam after about the 4th time of him asking me if they could have my cell number in case we got disconnected, so I kinda let him go on cause at this point im kinda amused, after his stupid banter he asked me what brought me to TN and I told him my husbands job, he asked me where he works and I told him the local Sheriffs Dept (which he does) and I got an immediate hang up. I called back the number from the caller ID and went off about how disrespectful they are and they should be ashamed of themselves, and the woman apologized saying they have been getting calls for the past month or so of the same complaints and she will take my number off the list and she was very sorry. Whether she was sincere or in on the plan I dont know.

Unfortunately I had "pleasure" to work for this company. I had to leave because I couldn't believe how they were scamming people and stealing their money. Let me explain how they "operate".
They are based out of Englewood NJ. They pay for software that allows whoever they call to make it seem like it's a local number, but it's not. This is why it's consistent with your local area code. The phone number is junk. Your first in contact with the "transfer agent", they pretend to be in the "shipping department". Their one and only job is to get an owner/decision maker on the phone with a sales rep. This is why they will say "let me transfer you to someone who can help." LIES. They are transferring you to the sales department.
If you haven't realized it's a scam by now, buckle up, it gets worse. You get on the phone with a sales agent and they make jokes and try to get you trapped in conversation so you are distracted from the fact that this is a SALES CALL. They pretend they have some kind of "gift" for you for "all of your past business", but need the decision maker to verify the address. By now, you should realize this is a scam, because any legit company will already have their address posted online. They entice you by talking about sports, politics, television, etc. If you are STILL on the phone with these people, they will end the conversation by saying "Oh, by the way, let me go ahead and stock you up on bla bla bla or I see you ordered this in the past, let me reorder bla bla bla". This is where they get really smooth. They will try to make it seem like it's things you have already inquired about or have purchased in the past as if they are one of your regular vendors. They will say "don't worry, same price as before bla bla bla". They are encouraged to run through prices EXTREMELY quickly and let me tell you, these things are like 200%-800% mark ups. How else would they afford to pay the staff?
Whatever you do, do NOT give them a purchase order number. They will charge your company up something FIERCE. They actually do send out whatever maintenance supplies but it's definitely not worth the price or the headache. And oh yea, don't count on refunds. The "callback" number they leave for clients is complete junk.
I will say, the more successful scammers out of all the sales agents make A LOT OF MONEY. I saw some of the more seasoned vets and the "sales" management team making anywhere between $3000-$7000 a friggin' week. B E W A R E.

Received a call from 541-275-8751 Lyn from USS Shipping. Looking for one of our employees. I didn't give her his cell#. I asked for her #. She said she was in the warehouse and couldn't receive calls. She said she had a package from the vice president. SCAM Alert!
Total Scam! Go the call today from them. Next time they try calling you and asking for your cell phone ...do this - "Can i have YOUR CELL PHONE NUMBER? Can I have YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER?". They probably wont be calling anytime again.

Scam, Annoying, pushy, rude. Very similar to Cynthia's experience above."Using 480 400-0252 to scam their shipping. Received a call identifying herself with "US Standard Shipping" saying they have a package for us that has come back to them 2x. She knew the name of our co. president, but not his position. She wanted to speak to our shipping manager and to verify our address." called from 925-301-1052. Blocked the caller.

Just received a phone call from a "Kathy" from USSP US Standard Shipping, claiming that they had a package there for our company that was being returned as "damaged" and she needed to speak to the service manager. She spoke very fast, and she kept asking which department could I put her through that handles this. I told her we aren't a big company that has departments like that. She was trying to confuse me, and I was trying to get more info about this "damaged package" I asked her who it was addressed to, and she said the owner's name. But when I asked her where the package was coming from, that's when she spoke even faster, claiming she had a driver there now and she had to go and hung up on me. Def. a scam. When I did *69 to see what number she called from, it was a local number 561-257-1933. When I called it back it did say they were US Standard Shipping. I made sure the other girls in my office who answer phones are aware of this scam. Glad I found this site!

Got a call from 904-203-1814 USSP Shipping saying they were holding a damaged or returned package. Wanted to talk with the shipping manager or office manager. Actually, I have made several orders recently and received a few as well as sent a few. I asked who the shipping agent was and she said UPS. I asked what was in the package...she didn't know. I asked who was the shipper...she said the label was mangled. Also put me on hold very briefly. I don't know what they were up to but it just seemed "scammy" to me. I call back a little later and got a recording saying that if I had received a notice about a package to leave a message. I can't imagine what they are up to but I certain it is not a good thing.
