I am considering purchasing an airhorn (the kind people use at sporting events), doing whatever to get a live person, then blowing said person's eardrums out of their heads with the airhorn. Can I get in trouble for this? I believe it would go a long way towards making these snarks think twice about bothering me!
You ever watch Tom & Jerry, when the ear "drum" pops out the other side of Tom's head? That is exactly what would happen, for real...

This morning I got a call from "unavailable", no number. In a foreign accent he said he was Paul and was with some computer repair. I have been getting this type of call every day for the last three or four days, cell phone and landline. If I had not been preparing breakfast I would have pressed him a little bit more. They're pretty easy to get off their script. He asked me if I was somewhere that I could be at my computer with the computer on. I simply said, "No". He waited and waited but did not say anything then hung up.

Unvailable 1 I answered and was a survey regarding schools. To which I answered pressing every number On key pad. Call ended...abruptly!

I got a call from "Unavailable" and just wondering if it's an ex blocking his number because he knows I won't take his calls or if some company's can block their name from showing up, hoping you'll pick up. Guess I won't know unless I actually answer... which I'm not going to do.

Thank goodness my Panasonic phone will allow me to block all unavailable calls. This one at 7:45 AM, must not know where I live because we are not on Day light savings time. Phone disconnected unavailable after one ring.

I also got a call on my cell phone from unavailable. For whatever reason, sometimes my brother and my sister's numbers come up as unavailable so of course I answered it. I said 'hello' and nothing. A few seconds later a male Indian sounding voice said, 'hello'. I said 'hello', my first mistake. Then he said, "Hello, ma'am. My name is Patrick (nice American sounding name) and this call is in regards to your personal computer." I hung up. These calls make my so angry especially when it's on my cell phone. I feel like my privacy in being invaded! To "Irritated", I don't give my cell phone number out to just anyone either but that doesn't make any difference to scammers.
Thanks for posting, Holly. I got an "unavailable" call this morning. My call blocker didn't let it ring through but I never suspected the computer scam. You saved me an inquiry. Thanks. :-)
I have gotten many "caller unavailable" calls this month at different times of the day; who knows how many times when I am not at home? The phone rings, no message is left and when I check the number with *69 I get the "unavailable" crap. I am going to buy a Panasonic landline phone.

I got a call from "Unavailable" today and guy knew my last name. I told him it wasn't my name and he hung up. I'm pretty annoyed, mostly because I have no recourse in this situation. Can't block it.

"Unavailable " calls all day , starting at 9 AM! Cox says, for an EXTRA fee, they can stop this. Are they kidding? How much MORE do they want to stop being harassed - and now by Unavailable???????
Look into getting a stand-alone call blocker and don't bother with your company-from what I've read about Cox, all they care about is money

I had a call yesterday and the caller ID was something I have never seen before.
1234567890 USER (not actual number) followed by phone number 123-456-7890 I did not answer nor was a message left.
I was getting ready to report and block when I thought I recognized the number. Sure enough it was my car dealership. I had called them several times yesterday. My remote deactivated and I was left stranded in the grocery store parking lot. Thank God hubby was able to find a ride to bring his remote, and his worked. Otherwise I would have had to tow the car 50 miles to the dealership for the remote to be reset. In the past the number has always come through with the dealerships name. When I called back I got a service reps voice mail, I left my message but they never called back. Weird.
