Strange number on caller ID +011

I'm really scared.I use my iPod on textplus gold and they keep calling me and your previous comments are scaring me because I keep thinking I'll go to jail when I'm only 10 years old!

Its a scam.  No one is going to jail.

The scammers are looking for the person who had your phone number before you got it.  

Talk to your parents.  It might be possible to block texts from this number.  They can ask your cell provider how.

That means it was an international caller calling your number.

Many companies in the world have call centers located in other countries but appear as though they are calling from inside their own country.  This is due to cheap foreign labor.  They pay a person 3 dollars an hour in India, to do the say job that costs 10 per hour in the US.  For example: Try calling MICROSOFT CUSTOMER SERVICE 1-800#...Its a good bet you'll be speaking to someone in Malaysia even though your in the US.

I got a call from that number just recently and didn't answer, I don't answer any numbers that look foreign or don't know cause I don't know anyone overseas.
Didn't leave a voicemail so that's a good thing I guess...

Got calls fro 011 about 6 times to my Biz cell phone. It is usually at 10.30 am and 10.30 pm est. I just programmed the phone NOT TO RING when the caller id says 011. I picked up once and it was a recording touting free groceries. If you are interested in $1000 free groceries press 0, blah blah blah.

I forgot to mention in my post previously that I recently put something "For Sale" on Craigslist, Truckpaper and GetLoaded. These calls started coming in right after. The two things may have nothing to do with each other but they may be getting our numbers from the same source(s). Of course I had to list my number to sell the item on these websites.

This is iyogi calling you (dell support).  And trust me... you want them to go away.  They call me every hour on the hour from 10am-8pm. Unfortunately they are in India and are not goverened by the same rules of harrassment that we are.  Found no way to make them stop yet.

I received a call from the caller ID of 011. The caller was from a company called Iyogi, a computer help company. I found them on google and had them help with setting up remote printing for my laptops. The cost was $30- $40, they tried to sale me extra IT support but I declined. As a smart person once said, if it's not broke don't fix it. I'm not happy about being put in a dialing system and called every hour, but they did give my good customer service.  IYOGi   was the company so I guess 011 is the new code for heckles. Someone in here said that people calling you from India aren't governed by the same rules, but that is not true. Regardless of whether or not they are in Canada/USA, or even if the company they work for is a Canadian/American company, if they are calling you, the laws of YOUR country count just as much as THEIR laws do. It's easier to take to court if it's a company that does business & has offices in your country. If it's Dell, it doesn't matter WHERE they're calling from, you can still take Dell to court for harassment. Look up your laws, familiarize yourself with them & protect yourself accordingly. Also, if it's a scam/fraudulent call, report it. If there are enough reports drawn up about a company/number, there will be an investigation, & the company could get into some serious legal trouble, which could possibly result in the business being completely shut down.

Thank goodnes for caller ID.  Call just came in - rang only 'twice' .. was busy at kitchen sink so couldn't pick up (thank goodness).  In looking at the name shows 'unknown' but the phone number shows 11-858-381-5529.  Of course the number shows ALL one with no breaks.  Recognized that this is an international call coming from somewhere.  Any hints as to which country it might be.  South America - Russia ????
