Strange number on caller ID +011

I get 011 on cell phone several times a day. Also at home I get another number of 727-645-4903 several times a day. Anyone know who this is?

That turns out not to be the case.  If they are not breaking the law in their own country, any judgement you obtain in your country will be uneforceable unless the two countries have negotiated a specific treaty to cover that crime.

I just got a call 15 minutes ago, at 10h30 pm!! I didnt answer, only listenned to the voicemail. Some indian man was speaking but I couldnt understand at thing he said... Im in Canada by the way

What is really strange, strange, strange is the stupid, stupid, stupid posts people put on places like this.  Guess I'm one of you now--that is so scary I am leaving immediately.

I have also been receiving numerous calls from "011" and I would like to know who it is?

this is soooo odd that i found this with all these comments, i called a site for acer computer help and the whole phone call felt weird clear to the point of ''don't call us back i will call you''.....and the call came with that prefix...my son had broke his computer he can buy a new one lol it was when he said he would send a tech to my house....i live in bfe and noooo techs come here i have to go to the city lol ...so none of it made any sense to me ....now i know my gut instinct was right it was a scam......

i hve been gettn a call from them all week along with some 888 area codes telln me i owe money and all this [***] stuff. im so tired of it. i want to block their num! is there any way to get them to stop?

a 011 number has started calling me (011 187 768 69787), the first time i answered there was a pre-taped recording when it ended i was cut off, the second time i answered there was no tape recording just  air, my question is; can someone use this method with 011 numbers and tape into my phone and somhow verify my callers, or just use it for internet purposes, thanks for taking the time to review this message

+011 is a country code. From outside the U.S. and Canada. Some on this thread have stated it is for Russia, but according to this site: http://www.distanto.com/international-direct-dialing-idd-prefixes.html
it goes to American Samoa. Nonetheless, it's more likely a scam from some offshore boiler room seeking to scam those they call.

I'm guessing that that second "1" before the "8" is a trunk code number or something like that
as if the number is +011 1 877-6869 87 (although with that many numbers it can also be an invalid number, one too many numbers). Off course, it's possible to break it down a bit differently so it winds up being +011 187 768-6987. Hard to tell by how it is in your post. The 187 may go to further identifying exactly where it originated from. But it's most likely a scam and I would ignore it.  Perhaps there's someone here that could give a more exact answer.

When I answered it was a call from a computer tech support service I used last year ( I Yogi ) asking to do a routine service call on my PC. I told them I was too busy and hung up but they did ask by me by name.

I can't believe this!  have gotten 4 phone calls from 011 and the their scam this year is scamming (like always) The last time that they called me I ran off to the person that was on the other end and HE called me a "[***]" I asked for a supervisor and he hung up on me! WOW I should get these guys to pay be because I am not a happy person when it comes to someone trying to waste my time.........
