Just how much did you pay the BBB to 'bump' up your ratings anyway? It was an "F" rating!!!
Cockburn & Associates or Total Relief Inc.? Which is it?
Debt Relief or bogus CA? Again which is it?
Here's yet one more question for you … if your 'company' is such a good one and all than how in the world could you even have disgruntled former employees? If Cockburn & Associates were as good as you attempt to claim they are their employees would all remain loyal and would NOT be disgruntled!!!
To again go over your list of wrong assumptions about everyone who posted on this thread and who post on this forum:
A. Client. No!
1. A consumer advocate. No!
2. A recovery agent (collection company). No!
3. A formal (disgruntled) employee. No!
4. A competitor. No!
All you've done by showing up here is hurl baseless accusations and make totally wrong headed assumptions. And you're calling me baseless? Give me a break! Every accusation you threw here is totally baseless!!!
"Moving on.."
Good riddance! - Mike Reilly| 1 replyIt didn't take long to smoke you out of the weeds . When I get to my office I will address each one of your comments . Whatever you do stay off the poker tables .
- You're still full of it replies to Mike ReillyIt didn't take long to expose you for a fool!
For the record ... simply an ordinary citizen/consumer who (like everyone else here) is sick of bottom feeders preying on innocent people. As well as a regular poster here! No connection at all to you, your company, a consumer attorney or a competitor! Yet, it was YOU who threw out those total wrong assumptions and threw out those false accusations! NOT ANYONE ELSE!!!
And didn't you say you were "moving on"? I believe so! What time is it where you're at anyway? Shouldn't you still be in bed so you can get up all nice and rested to head to work later this morning?
All those links I posted state what was in my posts by the way!
Now at least try and live up to your last post and move on!!! - Mike Reilly| 4 repliesMy comment "moving on" meant, I was done dealing with you however, you continue to impress me with your comments and endless links about how bad the firm is so I'm compelled to satisfy your taste buds.
I've looked at each link (seen them long ago) and commented on one in particular, the complaint. The others thus far are inquires about the service...have you read them?
What accusations have I made? It's apparent you know the difference between making an assumption and an accusation so enlighten me.
You stated "For the record ... simply an ordinary citizen/consumer who (like everyone else here) is sick of bottom feeders preying on innocent people." Would this classify you as a consumer advocate? I'll spare you the definition.
The BBB.... do you really think it work's like that? We're not accredited with the BBB.... they updated our rating because we made huge strides in our service and most importantly have satisfied our total of 10....that's right 10.... complaints with consumers who engaged the firms service.
"Cockburn and Associates or Total Relief Inc? Which is it?"
Simple answer, Cockburn and Associate... do you know of anyone who has sign a client service agreement between themselves and Total Relief? I'd love to know the answer to that.
Total Relief is one of several marketing affiliates the firm engages....but as I'm sure you're aware the buck stops at C&A's door.
Almost missed these;
• Take unauthorized charges out of peoples accounts and don't pay creditors or anyone … but themselves!
Tell me how you think this is done? If this were the case don't you think the authorities would be all over us by now? We don't make monthly payments to creditors and we make that extremely clear to every client that engages the service.
• Refuse to pay everyone for the first week of work
Please tell me what this means (smells like a comment a disgruntled employee would make..maybe not a C&A employee). Not everyone is cut out to do what we do, we deal with very fragile people, people in financial distress and these issues are typically caused by severe hardship i.e. medical issues, death, divorce or separation, unemployment, business failure...the list is almost endless... do you think it's easy?
• Calls claiming to be someone else
You would have to further enlighten me on this subject???
That should pretty much cover every comment. - Concerned replies to Mike Reilly| 1 replyWay to go Mike . Your words are so true!!!

"They turned me over to Silverthorne & Lubolover.I was to pay $820.00/mth that was to go into a trust account that I was supposed to have access to so I could see where my monies were going to pay off my debts.I never did see the monies, the creditors still kept calling and saying that no one from this office had contacted them to negotiate for me.Then I noticed about a month ago that the name of the company taking my money every month had changed to Cockburn & Assoc.About 3 weeks later I received an email saying that I had to fill out all these forms again and get them notarized all within 2 weeks or else."

"She continued to receive phone calls from the creditor which she reported to Cockburn and Associates only to be told that the call will soon stop. But, the call did not stop and she was told by the creditors that they had never spoke or been contacted by Cockburn and Associates about any debt settlement. My mother is now further in debt and has been scammed out of $2,100 by this firm."

"Joined debt solution company Silverthorn & Lupolover for $21,000 in debt for 30 mos., after paying them $465/mon. for 8 mos. one of my creditors filed a judgement and put a lien on my house – Luolover were still saying they could settle it but couldn’t guarantee it – I was not going to keep paying them for 30 mos. w/o a guarantee, I asked them to settle only 2 accounts totalling $5000, at that point I had paid them over $4000 and they wanted more money – $4000 to pay off $5000 and they are supposed to be saving me money???? They said I had $1300 in my trust account, they neg. with one of my creditors for $1500 and that creditor offered ME $945 a few months ago but I was advised not to take it – great advise. I also had to pay $205 out of my own pocket to settle that deb. Their fees are ridiculous and they are scam artists, they now will not answer my emails or calls, I doubt I will ever see that money again"

"They identified themselves as a debt relief company and that what they would do is take out a trust account for me and pay my creditors on my behalf by negotiating with them to bring down my debt to a lower amount and paying them off.
That was October/November 2011 and to this date October 2012 no one has been paid and I received a phone call that I’m about to be served."

Just a few choice samples of those complaints! Doesn't look good from where I sit … as far as customer/ satisfaction goes in the way debt relief has been handled!!! - Just to make things clear replies to Concerned"Your words ring true"? All he can do is post what he supposes about 106 people who happened to also post on this thread without any proof!
Every single time he was wrong!!! That has been proven, no one on this thread or who posts regularly was a consumer attorney, a disgruntled EX-employee, competitor or any kind of collection agency!
Your 'buddy' was wrong on every count! To me (and I'm sure to others), that smacks of arrogance on his part!!!
Nothing correct or truthful in any of his posts!!! He showed up and immediately went after everyone that posted here. The offensive!!! - Mike Reilly| 3 repliesDo you know if any of these complaints have been resolved?
7 choice examples...can you provide me with 100, maybe 200, maybe more?
We are servicing consumers just like many other businesses, have you ever taken into consideration the fact that these claims (some, all, who knows) could be nothing more than payback for not refunding a client who feel they are entitled? The claim is always the same Misled, Scam, Fraud
Here's a simple analogy; You see an advertisement for a restaurant so you make plans to visit. The host seats you at a beautiful table, great lighting, soft music and plenty of patrons. In comes the waiter who takes your drink order and provides you with the specials of the night. Good evening sir, I have three dishes tonight, one very special the others I'm sure you're very familiar with. The one special dish sounds great but you've never had it before, you go for it. The nights moving along well, the appetizer were tasty, salad cold and crisp... you can't wait for the entree. Out she comes sizzling, colorful, smells great...you dig in!
Half way through the meal the dish no longer agrees with you, you begin to feel uncomfortable, desert and coffee no longer an option. You call for the waiter and inform him of your dissatisfaction and demand a full refund!
What do you think happens next...
What if a full refund is not granted...
What could happen if only a partial refund is granted...
Does the owner of the restaurant still have to pay the host, waiter, chef, purveyors, gas, electric, insurance etc..etc...
By the way many people, in fact the majority of the people dining that night and during the remainder of the year loved the dish and continue to come back for more.
See the dilemma?
Does a free drink at the bar do it?
I'm not trying to make lite of this and please know we do care and work very hard each day to help everyone we service. - Just to make things clear replies to Mike ReillyAre you on your lunch hour or something? You seem to have a lot of time to leave long winded posts!
Only you would know if they have or not (or who ever is a higher position than you)! bYou do work for Cockburn and Associates, right?
7 examples! There's a lot more!!! Not everyone has as much time on their hands as you seem to have.
If your business has such problems, one would think that, in good faith, they'd do all they can to resolve them as quickly as possible! - Just to make things even clearer replies to Mike ReillyIn other words you trick people out of money, but you do it in such a way that it takes them a while to figure it out. By the time they do, you deem that you can keep their money.
What a great business model. Enjoy it while you can. - Mike Reilly| 2 repliesEveryone here and on those other sites are nameless how would anyone know?
Every issue that crosses my desk gets resolved...that's why I'm here.
The business doesn't have problems... your words not mine.
I guess my analogy flew way over your head.
Question for you...what ax are you grinding...why are you here? Former client? - Your Arrogance is showing! replies to Mike ReillyShouldn't you be attending to your work schedule instead of cluttering this thread with your diatribe?
- Mike Reilly| 1 replyQuestion for you...what ax are you grinding...why are you here? Former client?
- Your Arrogance is showing! replies to Mike ReillyFor Pete's sake give it up!!! You're starting too sound like a broken record!
Shouldn't you be working instead of wasting your time?
No one here has any axe to grind and as to why we're (ALL of us) are here ... to help make sure people don't get scammed or fall prey to bogus debt collectors! Simple really. That's what this site is about after all!
