so in other words you just take someones word for it.
So I show up under an assumed screen name make a bogus complaint and trash any firm I like and that's fine with you and everyone here?
I show up a couple days later as someone else and do the same and you all believe it without verification?
I've seen 3 new screen names arrive in the last hour or so tow of which were from the same guy....talk about a joke!
What kind of fugazi site is this?
If anyone has a real complaint about the Law Office of Cockburn and Associate go to www.clegal.ca call any contact number and ask for Mike Reilly...I would be happy to try and resolve your issue.
Best regards and a relaxing weekend, Mike Reilly

I've done my job which was to discredit this waste of space on the great internet superhighway.
Until there's a way to verify anything said on these boards...it's all bogus
In all this time (16 pages of nonsense) the only thing that can be verified is my name, my position with the firm and the firm itself.
"Ok, so you've made it very clear you were never a client...perfect! Then you must be one of the following 1. A consumer advocate 2. A recovery agent (collection company) 3. A forma (disgruntled) employee 4. A competitor"
You left out another possibility, which in my mind seems every bit as likely as 1-4. It is:
5. A attorney looking to gather information about you with which to file criminal and civil charges against you for fraud, criminal extortion and threats, and unauthorized access and vandalism of a website in violation of its terms of service.
Hey, why wouldn't this every bit as likely as any of the other possibilities you've postulated? After all, your continued posting on this website gives further clues as to your identity and how to find you. Perhaps by taunting you into to giving up more clues, they are closing in on you right now. Other frauds have been outed on this website before using such techniques.
Now, I'm not saying this is the case with you because I just don't know. And if I did, I wouldn't say. But if I were you, I wouldn't be discounting the possibility as cavalierly as you are.

I also left out the possibility that the poster is the owner of the site stirring the pot under various screen names for posting activity which leads to other opportunity $$$
Always a possibility right?
My name, position and locations has been made available to all.

"I also left out the possibility that the poster is the owner of the site stirring the pot under various screen names for posting activity which leads to other opportunity $$$"
Now you're really way off base!!! Not the webmaster/owner, not anyone working for this site! And also not a lawyer!!!
"Always a possibility right?"
Not at all a possibility!
Still haven't answered why your wasting your time rather than doing your job ... at Cockburn & Assosiates.Work day isn't over yet ... and it's not a holiday!
Admittedly, I'm trying to read through all 17-18 pages of this thread and see what's going on. BUT, I DO have a question: Aren't there any FREE, government sponsored Debt Relief Counselors in Canada? I'm 99% sure there are, here in the US. In fact, for a couple of years, it seems they were the biggest tv ads because, after the real estate fall and Bank Bailouts, almost everyone was having debt problems.
I guess I just don't understand why people are paying someone to do what they can do personally. Not to mention, if they're going to take their money upfront, and get you 3-4 months FURTHER behind with your creditors, what good is that doing you?

LOL! Well, I don't live in Canada, but I do have a couple of friends there. Still, this guy seems to think we are all one and the same.. I am me, no one else and all this can be proven bottom line. Never had need to have a attorney let alone a agency such as this. But if I did have need, it would be with a known Attorney that is local to my city and one I could see face to face bottom line. Don't owe nobody, all paid off years ago and own my stuff 100%. (Its called hard work and paying your bills period, a concept that seems to escape the debt shills). But for thinking we are all one and the same, if he can't tell the difference, too bad!
I think I'm going to have my friends check with this office and see if he is who he claims to be just for fun.. been a few fakers claiming to be real attorney's in a few threads here and turned out to be a scam.

Does anyone here a broken record playing? LOL
That's twice he's said basically the same thing! Did the same thing a while back too.
Guess he loves hearing his own voice … or seeing his nonsense repeatedly posted … time and time again!
LOL! I just sent a email to my Canadian friends with the links to this and what I asked is for them to verify if this person is who he claims to be and verify if he's posting on here.. So we shall see..
"She informed me my credit would be damaged, she informed me this program was better than bankruptcy." -- How so? I'm not a bankruptcy expert, but I understand it starts you with a clean slate and, after a few years, it drops off your credit report. In the interim, you can slowly begin building your credit again.
However, with BAD DEBT on your credit report...debt that isn't being paid for several months because the "debt relief company" is withholding funds to THEIR account...well, that just tells creditors you really don't care whether they are paid or not. One thing about creditors: They do NOT like being ignored. They may WANT more money monthly, but they want SOME money monthly or they tend to get real upset with a person and file a lawsuit.
So, I'm curious as to HOW this company's version of "debt relief" is better than bankruptcy for the client.
"Debt settlement firms do not pay money to your creditors until they reach a SETTTTLLLEEEEEMMMEEENT!!!!" -- ???????
So, this company's theory is to have their client go completely into default, and THEN contact a creditor?????? So, all you do is draw money and wait until the collection agencies start circling and are offering 50% payoff ...which is the same thing the client could do...FOR NOTHING. And, apparently don't make it crystal clear to the clients that this is your "method" of "debt relief." If you did, they wouldn't be extremely surprised when they figure out the company is paying NOTHING to their creditors.
And you actually CHARGE people for this? ... AMAZING...AND, apparently tell them THIS "method" is better than filing for bankruptcy??????? For WHO?
"... to Chris and he says no one understands the program." -- And, an attorney should understand that, when there is NO MEETING OF THE MINDS, a true contract does not exist.
" Its a simple program."-- Then why can (or does) no one explain it SIMPLY so clients know EXACTLY what the process is BEFORE they sign?
Reading here, though, I agree. It DOES sound simple: Have client send you money, continually telling them this way is better for their credit than filing for bankruptcy. You earn interest on it (and, guessing, client gets NO credit for that interest earned) while allowing the client's accounts to go into default and collections. THEN, you accept the collections' offer of 50% payoff. -- The client's credit is totally ruined, you keep the unmentioned earned interest and continue to have the client send you MORE money.
"Every issue that crosses my desk gets resolved...that's why I'm here."
That statement begs the questions: --How many are resolved in favor of the client (or former client)? How many in favor of the company? --What type of complaint actually gets to your desk? Or, as with many of the people posting on here, how many never arrive on your desk because the call is never answered? or, those beneath you never let the client know they have the option to speak with you? --How are you SURE you are aware of ALL customer issues?
By now, I'm sure you've read my posts from today. I, too, have been reading each and every post. It seems that your defenders create more questions than they resolve.
As you have read the posts, you realize your task of defending your company's methods is not going to be one-on-one, as it is when your company (or it's associates/affiliates/etc) are cold-calling potential clients. This is a different audience than you're accustomed.
Good luck convincing one and all! Who knows? You might be just that good of a salesperson. Then, again, you may not.
