If they are so good were are they now? From where I am sitting they have stolen everyones money and split putting the people you claim they have helped further in debt
Do NOT get involved with this agency. I was screwed over paid then thousands and all I got was $1000 paid off, another Creditor took me to court while this agency did not do their job. They lied to me and continue to lie to me to try and get more money from me. Most creditors won't deal with this law office, you could settle yourself faster.

Was ripped off as well. Steer clear of this fraud!
Don't give them a cent, I gave them over $9000 and they never vontacted my creditors, or even gave me reports or statements where my cash was going. Then I find out all my money is gone. Meanwhile the creditors are still coming after me, a whole year of waisted time and money
You better look again. Sheila Cockburn has been charged and Cockburn and Associates is a scam on all fronts. I know someone who gave them over $6000 and after two years of payments was told the creditors want more money. When the creditor in question was contacted they replied that they were never contacted by Cockburn and there was no money paid towards the debt. I'm quite sure there are more negative stories about this firm than negative ones.

Stay away, better yet RUN away, from Cockburn & Associates, Michael Lupolover in NJ, Silverthorn & Lupolover. They illegally telemarket, and many people report from US and Canada that they take your $ upfront for debt settlement services, but deliver no services.

I've had an awful experience with this law firm, they tell you that if you decide to cancel the program due to certain circumstances your money will be held in trust, it was a complete lie. I've lost my job my mom has cancer and I'm a single mom and my bills are going through the roof and I've tried cancelling the program 6 months ago and they refuse to give back the money that belongs to me so I can help my family, shame on them their complete scammers and they don't care about people , they just steal from them. They are definitely fraud.
i sign on too with silverthorn but they sent me to cockburn and i paid for 4 years and i have one collection coming after me that i was told by cockburn was settle but nobody can find the settlement letter and the interest keeps adding up
Can you tell me how to file a lawsuit against because they mixed up my creditors account and now i have collections going for something i was told was settlement from cockburn. They have 10,000 that is not accounted for
Did they send you proof of this debt when asked via the post office? If not, you need to tell them to do that. PROOF you owe the debt has to be shown by THEM, not YOU

They have taken 6,000 in fees from me. They contacted me recently n did not tell me the complete story of a new system they were trying. So I shtupidly agreed and they took out your first payment of 405. I contacted them as I had just lost my dad had to go to Mexico to be with my sister I gave sever depression major depression n PTSD. well I made them explain the new program and it was firms to pay 495 a mth for 14 mths I asked how come so much that if they were to make settlements why so much. He explained that they would try to get my last 2 creditors to dismiss what I owed. The money that I was paying was ANOTHER 5 to 6 grand of fees going to them. Has this happened to anyone else??
I also signed up in 2014. Since then which is now 2016 they have taken my monthly payments regularly but have not even got in touch with any of my creditors. Not a one. They are still calling me at home, office, and cell looking for some kind of settlement. I looked up Sheila Cockburn....she is no longer running this law firm as she was caught embezzlement ....in other words, stealing money from people like myself and pocketing it and left us out to dry. I am glad that she has been caught her and her accomplices in that office, but that leaves me financially broke with nothing left in my bank account. Now here it gets even better....apparently a new bunch of lawyers have taken over her clients. They contacted me and wanted me to sign up for another duration. Being desperate to get this matter looked after I agreed to it. They started taking over $450.00 a month. Going into about 6 months of paying. I am once again hearing from my creditors saying no one has ever contacted them at all. I was furious to say the least. I now have put a "Stop Payment" from my account so they can no longer draw from it. However, they are still trying to withdraw money at different dates as to fool the bank from which I am affiliated with. I have to go in and put a reversal on it twice now. Whatever you do...do not sign anything or give them permission to withdraw money from your account as it is hard to stop them. I am still having problems and not even once in two years of paying have that company ever made any arrangement with my creditors. What a mess. They maybe closed down by now, I am not sure.
