" 909" area code fraud scams / fake calls and texts

909 number wants my e mail or g mail.. This was a person I met on a dating site  that gave me her number to tex her....BELIEVE THAT. .

Luckily we have these things here known as phone number threads. The one you want is empty. It will remain empty until someone places a report there. That's rather how 800Notes works. The users are the contributors. That means you, too.

We're trying to discourage misusing a forum thread like this as a pin cushion for every possible number within a given area code. It makes a total mess after a while and becomes much harder to connect reports which belong together.

Sounds like I met the same guy. It's now March 2018, and the other day I called him out on his BS. He gave me the same story he gave you, however, he didn't ask for the money. He was leading up to the question, but I called him out before he could ask. From the get go, something wasn't right about him, but could not figure out what it was. Sob story after sob story. He is definitely a scammer and still using phone number 909-954-0031. I believe he lives in Sweden (we spoke on the phone). Claims he lives in Florida, but doubt it. I did contact administration of the dating site where I met him. I reported him and the site promptly removed his profile. Sorry this happened to you ... Just be lucky you didn't give him the money. He is not an American and most certainly a scammer.

I picked $800.00 will receive $25,000.00 in 24 hrs.  I had to send my money to Western Union, Deborah Anderson, Cleveland, Ohio 44120. If this a government grant program why must i pay snything???? I will not send nor give any banking information!!!!  I SMELL A SCAM!!!!!!

Your sniffer is good, but then, from your description this just reeks of scam.  The only time that "attorney" will ever get close to a law degree will be when he is standing next to his Public Defender in court.  The Government does not call folks out of the blue to offer them money.  You have to seek out and apply for it and if there was ever a processing fee, it would be small and you would never be asked to send it via Western Union (or iTunes cards or any other form of untraceable payment).  No, calls like this are pure scam, they want you to pay them for an empty promise of money.
You should post your experience at the proper thread for the number that called you 1-909-253-7355 so that others that are searching for this number can learn from you.  Right now the number thread is empty, so you could be the first to post there and enlighten others.

Received a call today from -909-999-6832. Recordings from the IRS stating that they have 4 related issues concerning my taxes. And if I don't call them back. My local police Dept. Will be arresting me within 24 hours. SMDH!!!!! GET A REAL JOB PLEASE
