Today I got a call from "Diane's Carpet Cleaning too.  It was on my cell
phone. The number on the caller ID was 619-819-0765. I pressed "1" as directed to make an appt and got a really surly young gal.  I told her that my cell # is on the DNC list and she replied (I am quoting verbatim)  "you should have pressed 8, I don't want any of
your [***]"  This was her exact words to me. Then she hung up on me.  Doesn't seem like a nice company to me.

I just got yet another call on my cell phone from Diane, the carpet cleaner.  Same experience as always - press 1 to schedule an appointment, ask the woman to remove me from the list and was hung up on.  I've reported this call and a previous call on the FCC web site.  I wonder if anything will come of it.  They called from (818) 230-8506.

Someone from "Carpet Care" called me from an unknown number and then I asked for her number and she hung up on me. I am trying to find the actual number for this company so we can call and harass them like they are doing to us!

Same thing here.  It has been happening to me for months, it may have been over a year by now. They have my cell and my husbands.  We are both on the DNC list. I reported...

Diane, carpet cleaning, same spiel as the rest of you.  Pressed one and told them I have hardwood floors and would like to be removed from their list.  Told me I should have pressed 8 to be removed (cause you know we are all psychic and should know that, since it isn't mentioned in the recording lol) and she hung up on me.  I have a feeling 8 will do nothing when they call again.  Seriously, if they were legit, even with their awful practices, you would think the operator would be a little nicer to try and get referrals or something.... what a scam.  I wonder if people do it?  They must be making money somewhere or they would have stopped this by now.

Thanks for posting this information.  I'm in So Cal and I'm getting the same calls.  A phone # came across my cell phone as (310)401-6578.  I pressed 1 and asked the company name.  She said Carpet Care.  I asked to be removed from their call list and she hung up.  I just signed up on the do not call list and, if they call again next month, I'll turn them in.  It's great they were fined $10,000, but how come they only had to agree not to solicit people in Idaho?

They are still operating in S. Florida.  I got a call today from 954-213-6296, other ID info not available.  And yes, my number is on the federal and local donotcall lists.

I would love to know if they contract with unwitting local carpet care companies, or if something worse is behind this.  Would love to see them shut down, as obviously they have the equipment to change numbers and messages, and perpetuate this indefinitely.

You will find more complaints about this same company at https://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/5622611102 .  I received this call today from 562-261-1102 and reported it to http://ag.ca.gov/donotcall/dnc_complaint.php , hope this helps.

With today's gas prices we should all make appointments at bogus locations out with them. Make Their poor subcontractors drive 20-30minute to a empty lot or something. They'll start to get the idea that it's not such a thing to solicit cell phones (or anyone else for that matter).

Hi, I have heard from other teenagers that this person calls them. They called me in class, and I'm really mad that they are using illegal means to get business, and they know it.
They called me with THE NUMBER is 562-261-1102.

Good for you for trying to track those jerks down. I found your posting online because I'm doing the same thing.  For several weeks I get 2 or 3 calls a week on my cell phone from that recording of Diane offering to clean my carpet.  When I have tried to call back that number , I get a busy signal or disconnect notice.  I cannot find their 213 numbers listed to a business in goggle.  I let the whole recording go through and then asked a live operator who the company was and for a number where I could call - she hung up.  My home and cell are on the national Do Not Call registry.  From my research this automated Diane message has been bothering people in many states, using a local area code each time.  It's getting expensive for me to have so many calls to my cell week after week after week.  Some people complained that they are getting more than one call a day.

Same deal, they called me from a number local to my area code. The number is 201 497 1918. I pressed 1 to make an appointment, got a human operator, and asked for their address. She hung up on me immediately. I wish I'd thought of scheduling an appointment like Mike did on 2 March 2008... next time maybe.

Have received a bunch of these calls and just have another one.  Same experience.  Too bad one of these TV investigative reporters can't track these guys down.

I actually just got the same call as the rest of you above from Carpet Care.
I too am on the Do-Not-Call list and have been since 2003. I did what some of
the other callers above have done, "Hit #1 to schedule an appointment."  But,
when I got through to the operator I sounded HAPPY, I said, "Oh I'm SO GLAD
to get your call, I've been meaning to make an appointment but don't have
time right now - can I get your number so I can call back to schedule an
    appointment later?" - The woman gave me Carpet Care's # (888) 241-6353!!!

I promptly went to the Do-Not-Call List www.donotcall.gov and filed a
complaint.  If you are getting calls from Carpet Care, please make sure
to file a complaint when you get one!  Feel free to use my approach above!!

I just got a call from the "Hi this is Diane" version of the carpet scammers!  When I pressed 1 and asked them to remove me from their list, they said, "Pff." and hung up on me.  Since the number on my caller ID was incomplete, I could not call back.  I have to pay for that freaking call since it came in on my cell phone.  I am pissed!
