right I read DRLJR message about the 732-978-546 number.  The number that called me used my area code, but was one digit short also.

This is James again.  I called the number that called me but tried every last digit from 0-9.  The number comes up busy or with the message that says this call cannot be completed as dialed.  I say we either make the appointment and curse out the guy who comes to see us while getting their license plate information or just push the button to speak to the human being and curse them out.  As if there isn't enough to worry about without some machine calling us every day talking about carpet cleaning.

602475269  exact same deal as everyone else.  Reporting them to the DNC.

Next time they call, I'm scheduling an appt, then I'll ask the sub-contractor to provide their real contact info and will post it.  I'll tip the sub-contractor some $$, since it isn't their fault this is a bogus trip.

After researching Jonh Belcastro and Authorized Cleaning Service (aka Carpet Care Plus, Chapman Carpet Care, Overnight Cleaning Service) as per their FCC and State of Idaho troubles, here is some POSSIBLE contact information for the company:

Authorized Cleaning Service, Carpet Care Plus, Chapman Carpet Care, Overnight Cleaning Service
    3301 Spring Mountain Road
    Las Vegas, nv 89102-8605
    Phone: (702) 477-7788

    Authorized Cleaning Service
    5450 W Sahara Ave
    Las Vegas, NV 89146
    702-873-1700

I gave them a call and they say they don't do telemarketing. SUUUUURE.

Try calling and say something like, Oh, I was trying to reach Diane's Carpet Care... Is this it??

Nice to know I'm not alone!  This was driving me batty, so I finally just disconnected my answering machine so they couldn't leave me messages.
Since they give out neither their name nor their phone number, it makes it impossible to report them, since one or the other is required.  I like the idea of scheduling a bogus appointment to "trap" them, but I doubt I have the moxie to follow through - I encourage someone else to do so!

Got several calls from number 071-897-3359 from "Diane" re. drycleaning carpets.
Pushed 1 for appointment, was disconnected. Redialed above number and was told by telephone operator voice: "Your call cannot be completed as dialed. Please check your number and dial again."

Filed complaint with Do Not Call Registry.

I've gotten to the point where I schedule appointments at the police station, fire station, local schools ... anywhere they'll show up and waste time.  The only way to get these calls to stop is if the cost to place them exceeds the benefit, and sending cleaning crews all over creation is an expensive wild goose chase.  The one down side is they ask for a name and number when booking, so have a ditch name/number available (friend in another town?).

Set an appointment. When the employee shows up stab them in the chest. Laugh hysterically. Be out in 6. Repeat.

I asked for the service and then asked for the name of the company.  It is Liberty Carpet and this is their telephone number as you posted it,
    (818) 992-7565.

I received at least one unsolicited telepromter call per day for the last several days.  Today 3/19/2009 I told the company to remove me from their calling system or I would turn them into the government.

I got this call with the robo-voice telling me about the winter carpet cleaning special, and so hit "1" to talk to a real person.

Since it's the first day of spring (and because I wanted to keep them talking to get some information about them like their contact info and name), I asked if there was a 'spring cleaning special' since it was no longer winter.

The girl on the other end told me to "Take all the seasons of the year, and shove them up your fat, hairy a**".

What a hoot; it's like they're trying to get rid of victims even after they've got a live one on the phone.

    Weird.

I'm at my wits end trying to stop San Fernando Valley carpet cleaners, and people selling auto insurance ("this is your last notification before your removed from the list..." (yeah, right)) to my do-not-call listed numbers.  They just don't care about Do Not Call.  With them spoofing their caller ID or using disposable VOIP numbers, it's hard to get info about them to report them.  If you stay on after the recording and try to ask, if they feel you're going to tell them your on Do Not Call and want to report them, they'll just hang up and maybe insult you.

Maybe a mandatory jail sentence and $100,000 fine for each offense will get them to stop.  Currently there's not enough teeth in the law to stop them.

I have never been one for trying to do things nice, especially when the bad guys wont play nice.  When telemarketers call, i send them to the Hells Angels Clubhouse in Chatsworth CA.  I have also sent them to a heavy Mexican gang area in East LA I know of.  Or, you can send them to a gay bar (remember that gay bar scene from Police Academy 1??)

be creative, get revenge, and also, forget doing things the legal way, these guys do not care about "LEGALITIES".   they could care less.  if the US government has not stopped them by now, then i doubt they will.  so lets do it ourselves.

be creative, be funny, and for God's sake, be NASTY!!

trust me, you can have fun.
