Said he was interested in purchasing my property for cash.  Called himself Mark and said reply: Jpe Properties.com.  I was skeptical.  Apparently, he has done this before to others, and it is a scam.  Beware!!

Have a posting for rental property in Minneapolis on Craigslist.  Received a text message this morning about a cash offer and a link for jgproperties.com.  Did a google search and found this blog - thanks so much.

Heads up to those receiving any texts from anyone at "lgproperties.com." This domain belongs to me. I'm a Realtor and have been receiving calls from people who found me through my web address and who were desperate enough to believe that someone will buy their home for cash sight-unseen.

Obviously, this is a scam of some sort. This person is hijacking my domain name for his fraud. I have now redirected my domain forwarding to this site to give those receiving these texts a clue that it is not legitimate.

If you get this text and can trace it to a live person, call the authorities or beat this jacka## about the head with a wet noodle or your choice of other non-injurious implement in order to let them know that time wasters and fraudsters deserve vigorous punishment.

Best of luck in your property sales and regrets that I am not going to follow this thread with any sort of regular attention, so if you post a reply here, I will not see it anytime soon.

I am a Realtor and also received a text message stating they pay cash for houses.  It was from www.isoldtoday.com.  At the bottom of the form it states "JPE Properties" with no phone number.  Evidently, there are a lot of people running this scam.  BEWARE!

we have been getting text messages from someone about a listing we had on craigslist also!! all the emails came back so it not legit! they are trying to get an exact location of our property!! beware! I am trying to track where it came from!

Received a txt from a JgProperties.com stating they wanted to purchase my property... this add was in Craigs list. I am seeing that others have received the same txt... so Im going to delete it!! Thanks for having a site that lets up know its a scam....

I just received a text message from mark@XanProperties.com says he is interested in making a cash offer asks for quick details at htpp:/www.JpeProperties.com. No phone number given, when I googled the http I found this forum as well. Thanks!

JUST received a text from my ad on craigslist from this person asking me to contact him at http://www.JpeProperties.com and the text was from Mark@XanProperties.com.  Glad I checked here first!

Definitely a scammer - now using lgproperties.com claiming to have cash offer on a prperty I have listed in craigslist. No phone in text - just 675-53

i listed my home on craigslist about 2 hours ago.  just got a text from mark@XanProperties with the i'm interested in purchasing your property would like to make a cash offer. please give us the quick details at jpeproperties.com listing a house on craigslist is NOT as appealing as it once was to me!

got a text and an email, sent him the location and name of the owner...should I do something to protect myself?
