Another call that ties up my answering machine and uses up my cell minutes when I call in to check messages.  "Winner" on the caller ID.  I don't think so--we're all losers because of these scammers.

Called 8/18/12, 1:13pm.  "WINNER" (what a come-on!) called me, too.  I did not answer and, of course, no message was left.

You have gotten other complaints about this phone caller, no doubt.  My complaint is the same.

Received a call from "Winner" 206-496-0929.  We are registered on the Wisconsin no-call list.

Hey politicians!   You want to win in November?   Put together a plan with teeth to stop these irritating calls and I guarantee you will receive the majority of the votes of the people.   I don't care if you are Republican or Democrat, or whatever, you put a stop to this crap and you'll have the entire country on your side.

I just got a call from this number.  ID said "Winner" but I suspect they are a bunch of losers.

Recorded message from this number saying "FBI and local police agencies report an increased number of home break-ins in your area".  Then offers installation of a "free security system" if I will let them place a "small sign" on my front yard.

Blatant violation of Do Not Call regulations.

Pressed "2" to "talk with a representative for more information", and blasted the telescamming [***] with our boat horn.

Less than 1 minute later got call from 949-201-4136.  When answered, they yelled and made honking and beeping and other noises.  So I called them back.... got some Pakistani-sounding [***] who said they were a "locksmith service".  Told her I was sending her number to California attorney general: She claimed they had nothing to do with telemarketing, or selling security systems..... that they had nothing to hide.  [***] !  They're making the scam calls, routing them through Seattle to try to hide their illegal activities.

So, if you get a call from this number, or a similar security system pitch.... call 949-201-4136 and let them know that you know who they are, and that you are reporting them to California law enforcement authorities (and then do it !)

Here's a safety tip, when you encounter a unknown web address rather than go to the site, Google it instead.  This avoids the risk of drive-by malware.  

We recently replaced our old security system which was monitored by Monitronics with Comcast's.  Monitronics made it very difficult to drop the "service" and kept increasing the amount they claimed we owed - not a good company to use.  The 2giglifestyle.com site states they also use Monitronics and they have only been up for three months.  That is two strikes against them and the third strike is their annoying unethical marketing methods

Called while I was having a migraine.  I've dealt with these morons before.  Scum off of a cess pool.  Let call go to voice mail.  Love caller ID.

The entire robocall was recorded on my voicemail.  I had the voicemail file sent to my email and I was able to download the file to the FCC complaint as additional proof of noncompliance.  If anyone out there has digital phone service with voicemail you can send in .wav format then send copies to the FCC with your complaint.  If I can figure this out as a relative nongeeky computer user, I think others can too.

Morons just called me. Answering machine picked up but they left no message. I guess I will have to forfeit my $20 million dollar prize I'm sure they were getting ready to hand me.

Caller ID said Winner. Offering Security system stating my local Police department has reported robbery in my area. Yeah right. No need for their services.

Answered and a message comes on, Stating that the FBI reports that crime rates are up in my area.  Would I loike to combat this by aloowing a sign to be placed in my front yard after a free security system is installed.  This system will be installed at no cost to me, if I allow the sign to be displayed in the yard.  It sounded like they wee somewhat ligit -- thought maybe it was because they could tell that my home was on the corner of two  well-travelled streets, but I hung up, because they didn't provide enough detail in their "presentation"

Yeah, I have a Digitone call blocker and those spammers fill 80 blocks in 1 month. I think the Government sholud pay half the cost since their Do-not -Call list  Do-not-work.
