no message no id - called before crackle noises - automated dialing

I answered and its scarbourough research. I told the girl to take us off their list and she got an attitude saying she doesn't have access to the data base. I explained that they had called at least once a day for over a week and if they called again that I'd report them. She said that's fine cause thats for telemarketers!

REPORT THEM!  I've been at it with them for weeks!!!

Calling non stop, answered it two weeks ago, told them that i was not interested in answering a survey for radio, tv, ect. Cynthia gave me an 800 number that i can call to take my # off their list. all you get is a recording but you can leave a message. i asked them to take my name off the list along with language i would want my kids to hear. I think i will call it every day at all hours and keep leaving messages. 800-753-6043. Please call this # often. Payback Time!!!!!!!!!!

Scarborough Research.  I answered as it was almost 9:45 PM and was concerned at the late call.  They wanted to know if I could answer a survey.  I told them they weren't seriously calling me this late in the evening!  He asked if there was another time to call.  I said no thanks, and hung up.  I can't believe the nerve of this company calling so late.  Family time?  That's beyond!

Call the Attorney General's Office in Texas.

If enough of us call, this crap will end.

I called the 800 Daysleeper gave and I got a guy named Guy who took my number and says he will remove it from the database. He was very nice and surprised at the rudeness of the last telemarketer.

They called at 9:45 pm.  Thank the Lord for caller ID, I didn't answer, but they left a message saying they were taking a survey.  I'm on the Do Not Call list, but evidently that doesn't work for this type of organization.  I think calling so late is ridiculous.  Look, if you call that late at night you better be someone I know!!

They are calling just about every day.  And calling late!!!

Calls have started to come at 9:45pm on 12/10/08 and 10:00 pm 12/11/08 but prior to those, calls have been coming at all hours of the day. I am on a do-not-call-list and yet these fools keep calling for a radio survey. Get a life.

I got a call tonight from this same #....they actually left me a voice mail on my machine...my number is unlisted and im on the National Do Not Call List.....why are they allowed to call?

Especially when you tell them you do not want to be called any further...does anyone have any ideas?

Got another call from Scarborough RSR 210-736-3080 this evening at 7:55pm PST on 12/19/08 after I requested that they no longer call me. Also gave the Attorney Generals Office in Austin Texas information regarding this company on 12/11/08 and asked that they look into this company regarding the numerous negative calls being received at all hours of the day and night. I plan to call the 800-753-6043 number and leave a message there.  If they continue, then maybe some coverage in the NEWS may help.

Give them a dose of their own medicine by calling their switchboard repeatedly or write them:

I had been receiving calls from this number for about a week or so. I finally gave them the courtesy to answer and promtly told the guy on the other line I was not interested in responding to their survey. I then asked him to remove my number from their database; he replied he couldn't do it but then gave me a toll-free number (1-800-753-6043) to call and request that my number be removed from their database. The guy was actually very corteous. I just finished calling the 800 number and a lady took my information and stated that my number would be removed from their database. Let's see if they are good on their word.

They wanted to send me information to participiate in a survey. I had to tell the lady no several times. Finally she said that she had my address based on my phone number and only wanted me to verify it so that they could send out their package. This annoyed the he** out of me. I told her to not send me any mailings and to take me off of the list.

I have a feeling that I haven't heard thelast of these guys.

They call every day. No messages left. I originally picked up the call and told them I did not wish to participate.

I called the 800 number listed and left a message to be removed from their call list. I also used their "Contact" link to send an e-mail with the same request. I will update this report in a week.

I received an e-mail response from Scarborough Research. Here is an extract:
