I got the call @3:45 today (2/5/13) waking me from a nap. Feeling groggy, I answered my home phone and started listening to a heavily Indian accented man. I had no ides what he was saying, so I told him to take me off his list. He replied with, "What list? You are not on any list." I asked, "Then who the hell are you and why are you calling me?" He angerly replied, " I am NOT a hell!"

Came home to find a message from this number on my answering machine.  As soon as I saw the number I knew it was a scam as there are no telephone exchanges that use 000.  The caller was a female with a slight accent and only kept saying, "Are you there?"  After saying this three times, she hung up.  Considering how these scammers have been in business since at least Feb 29, 2012, as evidenced by the first report on this site, seems they must be finding some people to successfully scam.

Shane with Indian (sub-Continent) accent called saying he was calling all microsoft users to tell them about probelms with the operating system.  I pressed him to tell me what this was about or what he was selling, said he was selling nothing but if I could go to my computer he could show me how to fix problems.  I told him not to call me again and hung up.

this is so funny.  I got this call and made him keep repeating what he said after One Stop.  He said e-a-r-c-a-d-e... i played woith him a bit, making him repeat it.  then told him that it would be better if English was his first language.  then gave the phone to my 13 month old to yell at.
I got a similar call "about my credit card pleae push 1 for our agent to fix it" ... first she said she was calling from "my card company"  when asked which one she told me Victoria's secret, which I cancelled long ago.  Years.  Then, when asked how she got my number, she said she got it from my husband.  Well she was on speaker phone and my hubby was right there laughing next to me.  And then she indicated she had gone out with him previoulsy that week.  Funny cause I know where he was was the whole time... eventually we got HER to hang up!
Ahhh... sometimes it's worth the laugh.

    and 302 is Delaware.

Got the call a few minutes ago.  A man with an Indian accent started reading from a script about how my pc was in danger.  I interrupted him and snarled, "Whaddaya want!"  He said there are problems with windows and asked if my pc used windows.  I said, "Nope, Linux."  He hung up.

Answered by mistake...usually I don't answer calls from unknown callers.

I had barely answered when this babboon with a Swami snake-charmer accent started jabbering about my computer and how he was calling to help me with a virus.  I told him that I was not interested in his help and he just continued blabbering away like a cab-driver in Calcutta...I told him to shut the F*uck up and NEVER call me again.

I then named it "SPAM" on my phone.  These people should be arrested for these intrusions into our lives.
Where is our "change" government when we need it???

I received a call from 212-000-3459.  It was a young asian lady with a very thick accent.  I couldn't catch the name of the company she said she was calling from but I let her start her spiel.  When she started talking about me downloading bad Windows files I asked her which of my three computers she was talking about since they all have different operating systems.  She said "it not matter, Window 7, XP or 8).  I told her my computers were none of her business and that I have excellent security on them.  I then told her she was a scammer and could stick her call where the sun don't shine.  She called me back 4 times yelling that she wasn't a scammer, that I was the scammer.  I finally told her if she called back one more time I would turn her number over to the authorities.  She didn't call back.

I recently put my new tel# on the do not call list, and since then have had more calls than before. Also have any of you sign any online petitions say ones you've seen on FB, from Credo or other online petition sites? I signed a few but did not give my tel# though ask for it. Seems the calls have come from these petition sites having sold our personal info to telemarketers and such. Even though they claim our personal info is confidential. Either that or their databases got hacked, or an insider/employee/volunteer stole the information. Contact these sites and complain. Get satisfaction.

I just received a call from this number. As others have said the caller had a thick accent, possibly Indian and was very hard to hear what he was saying. He said that he was calling because my Windows operating system was downloading unwanted files. I told him that I was judging this call as a scam. When I asked him to tell me exactly what windows operating system, he just kept repeating your windows operating system.  I told him that I had more than one computer and more than one operating system and needed to know which one he was calling about. He said windows 7.I don't have windows 7 on any internet connected computer.I started laughing and he hung up.

Great story!  I did something similar to a Jamaican guy that called to tell me on my cell phone to tell me I won a car. The catch is that I was to go to a walmart and buy a moneypack and meet someone in the parking lot to hand it to them.  This is to cover shipping.  Pretty obvious its a scam.  I was on my 45 minute drive home so I had some time to waste and started asking him questions.  I acted excited and told him I was heading to walmart to get the moneypack.  As I pulled into my driveway I asked him where specifically he was located and he said he was near my residence but would not give me a city or location so I asked him specifically about the weather and whether it was sunny or raining.  Wrong answer he said it was raining.  I antagonized him abit before dumping the call.  Again, I 100% support phone beatdowns on these international bums.

Yup, this guy just called me. "Shane" with a heavy Indian accent. I told him I didn't have a new computer and to be removed from his list. He said he would NOT remove me. I told him do not call or I would call the BBB. He started giving me an attitude and said go right ahead to me. I said do not call me back. He said I will call in 5 minutes. I told him do not, my daughter is napping....He called right back, and I put the phone next to my daughters Elmo CD that was playing. Hopefully he will have kids tunes in his head all day. [***].

I got a call Feb 25, 2013 from what I thought was a Chinese voice. He said something about my computer running slow and wanting to help. I told him my computer was fine and I didn't need his help. Then I did a thorough security scan, just to be sure. Judging by the previous posts, their still there and seem to have some perverted interest in Chaska MN.
I'm curious if the targeted people are subscribers to the city based wifi?

Ok just got off the phone with "Joe" Who could barely speak English and was rambling on that he was checking up on my computer.  Recognizing that this was a scam and poorly acted social engineering attempt I told him to stop talking and do not call me ever again.  He kept babbling , asking that same dumb questions in broken English, so I hung up.  Less than one min later I got another call from good ole Joe.  After telling him again to go away , learn English so I can understand him,  he sucks at scamming etc..  He asked me if I knew where he was and laughed about it.  Not only was this guy a bad scammer , he was a cocky SOB.  I'm sure that he was calling from (India, China, Iran etc...) Take your pick.
