Hey all... I always get an automated phone call with my name, but it always
hangs up on me! Tried to call back..nothing.

What is the mailing address for Harris & Harris Law Firm (Debt Collectors)?

everyone note this number too: 312-423-7338. this lady keeps on calling me at least 3 times a week at 7am. non stop [***]. they have all my info i.e. phone number, drivers license # etc. apparently i recieved 4 tickets 6 years ago from the city of peoria and only in the last year have i began to hear anything about this. i think they are a bunch of scammers, i mean who honestly thinks they are going to give you their credit card number over the phone. watch out for these guys.

My car was stolen, in May 2008, filed the police report. These guys call me at least 2-3x a month..harrassing me.  Total scammers....

This machine keeps calling my phone number once or more times a day and leaving messages. I have nothing to do with this firm or their claims. I am ready to sue for harassment.

Please get them to stop!

I got a letter from these people for going through the Ipass 6 years ago. I did go through it and payed a fine. Now I get a letter from these people saying that there is a "Spring cleaning program discount" that I am receiving. I believe I paid this when I got the initial ticket. Since when does the goverment off discounts on fines???? Is this real??

I did not have a hard time with this agency. Last year I filed BK, but filing does not stop your payments to the city for parking violations.  They requested copies of all of my paperwork, which I faxed to them, and waited for a return call.  After not receiving a call back, I telephoned them and found out, once your documentation is forwarded to them, they will make payment arrangements with you, but they will not call you.  It is our responsibility to follow up. YOU MUST CONTACT THEM, that is extremely important, YOUR followup is necessary.
 Yes, I was told that my paperwork was not received, but once I gave them the ticket numbers, fax number and the name of the person my information was faxed to, they were able to locate my information right away.    I spoke with a very nice gentlemen, A Mr. Moss, who requested and initial deposit from me, which I paid, and have may monthy arrangements with a telephone number for me to contact him direct if I choose to make my payment over the phone.  
 For those of you who are concerened, NO, I don’t work for the company, I guess I was just blessed enough to contact a very good representative.

they have called and called my parents house in IL for almost 6 months now. when they FINALLY left a number for me to call them back on i was informed that in june 2002 i was cited for obstruction of traffic and not wearing my seat belt. the big problem with that is that i didn't have a license in 2002. and why 7 years later are they now calling me? and the tickets added up to $160. something seems strange to me. can anyone tell me if this is legit? i haven't lived in chicago for six years, why are they just contacting me now?

I agree that these guys seem like a scam...but I called the City of Chicago and they told me that, YES they are representing the city...their office number is even located on the cityofchicago.org website.

Got a call from them today, got the number off my caller I.D. 312-893-4866 when I called I stated this number was on my caller I.D. and I wanted to know who they were calling for.  They asked me to give them my phone number so I did.  The man then tell's me oh your phone number doesn't come up so I don't know how you got a call from us.  Well, who the hell knows but if this is from Chicago for a parking ticket, I don't know how I would have gotten a ticket since I only park in parking garages, but it's few and far between I even go to Chicago.  But maybe I will not be bothered again because they "claim" my number doesn't come up.  We will see though and if they do call back I"m calling them back and going postal!!

I've got two calls from two different people in the last two weeks, claiming they represent the State of Illinois Toll Authority and that I owe over 300 dollars in fines for passing through iPass without paying.  I've not lived in Illinois since January 2005. The first time they called I requested they mail me information on the fines, from the State of Illinois. I never received any information. Now, they call again, I repeated my request for proof of these violations, and they just tell me "ok, we'll do that and have a nice day". How did they get my number? It's a cell number, not published.

These people are super rude and when you ask for a name of the person you are speaking to they tell you their name is "Miss Cash". Yep thats right, they think its funny to not tell you their name. Pretty un-professional in my opinion. I hope Miss Cash gets fired and has rude people like her contacting her at all hours of the night.

rudeness, i dont own a car, i live in california, and they are calling me from chicago about parking tix??

This office, during an attempt to collect a debt from unpaid parking violations has included an interest charge for every ticket that was not included in the binding contractual 'Parking Ticket Payment Plan Agreement' that was signed by myself and a representative from the Department of Revenue.  The Agreement details all of the terms of the repayment plan, and never once mentions hidden interest fees or charges.  

I'm being urged to fax in my contract so that a 'supervisor', Mrs. Calderon can review it, but am still being told that it probably doesn't matter...I will have to pay whatever they tell me to pay or they will nullify this agreement and seek to boot or impound my vehicle.

Is this within their legal right?

I received my first phone call a month ago saying that I owe $729.90 for toll violations from 2004.  Unfortunetly it is for a vehicle that I owned but never drove.  My sad exscuse of an ex-husband drove throught the toll countless times.  I did get proof from the state and unless I hire a lawyer this is truly ligit.  Just thought I would share.

this company [***] you. They don't care what your situation is. Even their student payment plan is a joke. They are backed by the city of chicago and will do what ever they want/ can you get money. This company should be shut down.

Why do Chicagoans put up with so much? It's obvious that all the law makers in ill have a single minded approach, and that is to collect money by fines red light cameras. And when they do get money to spur the economy they put it right into construction. Their jobs are so easy all they do follow a repetitive routine. Don't they know that they could put money into creating Jobs in the technical fields?

With these many complaints could there be a civil suite filed against the law firm or even better the City.
