I will sign any petition to sue these people.  They have taken my money, my time, and my peace of mind.  After reading some of these accounts I'm afraid I'll be in there system forever.  I just want to put them out of business and pass some sort of legislation impacting the way they operate.   Please contact me, anyone, if there is anything I can do.

When the debt-collector representative first called me, I sent 3 letters explaining I hadn't been in Baltimore since 1989! But this "firm" never received the letters. And they stopped calling. Just a few weeks ago, over 6 years later, they called again. Huh? I want to stop the calls, so what do I have to do? I'm disabled now from a stroke  for over 2 years to boot!

I forgot to name the firm: Arnold, Scott, Harris.

Mechanic voice spoke my husband's name. We sold our motorcycle, the guy got a ticket in Chicago with his new bike, debt calls from there wanting my husband. Ownership ends when sold!    

We had to send many stern professional THREATENING letters to the City of Chicago, Mayor of Chicago, & inform BBB. We didn't stop until we got the Mayor to acknowledge in writing that the motorcycle is not is my husband's name.    Then sent a copy of the letter with LEGAL THREATS (many times) to the address we sweetly asked where to send our payment to. Little did they know.      RESULT:   calls stopped for 2 yrs. Started up again though.

I received a call from these people today who were completly rude after calling 4 times between 8-130 I called them back. they said if I didnt pay the balance I owed the cook county circuit clerk today I would be held in contempt and my license will be suspended.

They named the nature of the offense and the date. Seems as though they shouldnt be spouting that kind of information over the phone. I really feel as though my privacy has been brieched. espically seeing how the person on the phone sounded like some thug

These people are straight up dumb. I called yesterday about a toll ticket that I never got, but will pay just to get it off my credit report.  The bill is 496.00 with extra fines (I think the original toll was 10.00)????  But the kid I spoke to literally acted as if I was cllaing the wrong place and said "Uh, yeah, I don't know what you mean..."  I clarified again and he said "Uh, yeah, I think we do that here. Can you call back tomorrow?"  They have about 5 employees, and in such a small group they cannot figure out what they do.  Wow.  Trying to get a hold of someone who is not a fool with this lawfirm outta be fun....and mind you, all I want to do is hand them nearly 500!  Such imcompetence.

the attorney general is Lisa Madigan and she probably has friends in this law firm, this is another city of chicago rip off people agenda. You have $150 in parking tickets and then you owe $1500. How do you think this law firm gets the contracts with the city? If you know an elected official you can probably get out of it

i had a gentlemen from here call me his name Mr. Warren, he advised me that i have a past due tollway balance that needs to be resolved immediately because my license is due for suspension if this is not paid. I gave Mr. Warren my card info and informed him to run the payment that day because I have a daily limit with the card and once that limit is reached all transactions after that will be declined. Do you know that a month later i noticed that my payment was not deducted from the account, so i decided to call him and find out what happened and he advised me that the payment came back declined for non sufficient funds. I asked Mr. Warren why did he not have it run that day that was agreed upon because i specifically told him of my limit. Do you know that he had the nerve to reply to me with " i have thousands of clients i would have gotten to you eventually". Now, I worked for a collection agency myself almost a year ago (my first time experiencing this line of work) and let me tell you the lies that these people tell you because of goals they have to meet monthly in order for them to collect a nice chunk of a bonus as well as the rep's not interested in listening to you or providing you the documentation you need or willing to accept your $20.00 payment until you pay your balance off. i just got a call from 312 604 7167 Ms. Huff (yeah Huff alright everything she stated was all Huff) advising me that the settlement that was proposed to me today is only valid until 5 pm, but she called me to tell me that she was leaving for the day and wanted to know the status and it was only 4:15 pm. I called the actual company that the debt is from and they informed me that i have to deal with the collection agency now because my account was placed with them. What this means is the collection agency purchased my debt from the Tollway for a fraction of the debt and the collection agency is trying to collect the full amount from me and threaten my license to be suspended and that i really dont have an option and the ball is in arnold scott harris court. People are unemployed looking for jobs right now, i tried to resolve the debt to what i can afford and they are not budging. People have rights, it's just who is going to stand up and fight for the rights they are entitled to. 2006 debt i was threatened my license would be suspended and guess what it is the end of 2011 and its still going. These debt collectors are not allowed to lie to the people, but they are and they are getting a way with it because noone is standing up for themselves.

These people are rude & rellentless... Hired by the Circuit Clerk of Winnebago County so they say.
Doesnt matter to me how they use name dropping.... they need to stop calling my work cell phone for someone other than me!  Why is a Chicago (attorney's office making collection calls) for the "Winnebago County Circuit Clerks Office) anyway!  Can't wait to take all of my tax dollars out of this corrupt state!

this company is trying to collect money on tickets that were dismissed in a court of law, from over a decade ago.

Harris and Harris are in downtown Chicago - they have a lot of parking ticket and so forth accounts, they r debt collectors and scum in my opinion - they do not follow Fair Debt Collection practices. Contact Edelmann, Combs, Laturener and Goodwin, also in Chicago, they r the BEST law firm for consumers around, blessings

Against the law to give a phony name, report them and sue them for unfair debt collection practices

BE CAREFUL, the tollway accepted money from us as settlement and then called 2 days later saying after a review we owe 100.00 more.

Figures the jerks at Harris and Harris would have the account for the thieves running the tollway.

we paid 1600 in June and another 200 a few days ago and they still want another 100 and when we ran out of gas on the tollway sept 11th they said we owed 20.00 times 3 for GAS charges from like years ago and would not help us with the gas, we could have been stranded, complained to tollway state police whom did not care and then called the tollway and asked why I paid 1600.00 if we can not get emergency gas and never got a straight answer either.

u can try and report them teresa waters at the il attorney discipline and regulatory commitee, located under supreme court website, she is not the most responsive, she will respond but may not take the complaint seriously but u r welcome to try
