You can't sue the company.  What law school did you go to?  You can report them to the State Attorney General.  You get no money!

Don't want the calls. Don't answer your phone.  Plain and simple.   Just because you pay a phone bill doesn't mean someone can't call you.

Hmm ... I've received 3 different calls, with Caller ID saying 'Gallup Poll.'  However, I think this is bogus.  Person answering phone said he was from Wells Fargo, not Gallup, and when I asked to be taken off phone list, he said he didn't have to, and wasn't going to.  Gee, that's pretty unfriendly - and downright aggravating.  I've asked not to be called, because I consider it harassment & an invasion of the privacy of my home, but whoever this is, continues to harass us.

So ... I don't think this is legit number, or company.

And I've been thinking about some of the 'positive' comments posted - I'm quite skeptical that this are legit as well.  Think about it - who would take the time to look up a number, and post a positive review, unless they were an employee or other agent/rep?  I certainly wouldn't.  Why would I?  It takes a number of 'bad' calls to get me to look up a number.  So, unlikely that any 'positive' comments are anything but furtherance of harassment/fraud.

And I don't buy the 'gee, I'm just doing my job.'  Plenty of telemarketers, sex traders, polluters, scam artists, etc. are 'just doing their job' as well.  Just because you are being paid for work doesn't mean you should be doing that job.  And just because you are doing a job doesn't give you license to harass people in their homes.  If I ask you to put my on your own internal 'do not call' list, please do so.  Quit claiming that because you don't 'have' to, you shouldn't.

And for what its worth, I have degrees in political science and math, and these 'polls' are at best suspect, and at worst are 'push' polls, that bias answers from the get-go -- not objective, or scientifically valid in the first place.

Just say no to these calls.

Just goes to show you that all that supposed education doesnt prevent you from being a very paranoid individual. Just ask yourself this mr educated one, how does a bank like a Wells fargo score their representives or tellers for cust service. After pondering this  you may want to call your local wellsfargo branch and ask them if we are legit.Afterall they are paying a pretty penny to Gallup to contact you. Have a nice day Mr. Paranoid.

They are a Gallup poll conducting a survey. They ask questions regarding politics, religion, safety and the like. it takes about 10 minutes and if you don't mind taking the time, take the call. i spoke with them just tonight. you don't have to answer any question you don't want to. Not sure where you can go to be taken off the list but i either answer or tell them i am not interested.

They called me this morning at 6:05 AM.  Not 8:00AM but 6:05 AM.  I hate it when I am in the shower that early in the morning and a telemarketer calls my phone.
Whatr can I do?  Not a damn thing.  They keep calling no matter how many times I tell them to stop and do not call complaints are just laughed at.

I no longer answer any number that I don't recognize.  Sometimes now, I just click the phone on then off again but the idiots just call back.

Many of the phones they sell that block numbers actually ring once then stop the call.  I hate one ring too.  If they want to pay my phone bill, they can call it anytime, but I pay for it and am pissed.

We are not stupid, you just don't get it.  There is no legitimate reason for anyone to cold call my phone....Got it?

I don't care what your explanation is about the "do not call registry".  I don't like the rude pieces of garbage that I try to tell not to ever call me back, playing a game that they cannot hear me anymore.  I made the mistake of telling someone to "F" off.  I received 30 calls that week from all sorts of spoofed numbers.  Yeah, legitimate my ass.

You even sound like an idiot telemarketer on here.

Apparently starting up again. Last entry I see here is 2008.  I'm in California and received a call at 7:10pm.
I did not pick up - no message was left.

A word to the wise, don't pick up their call, they'll just call you more!

    Call listed as Omaha Nebraska

To Gallop Dude - if it was "Wells Fargo" calling they would have left a voice mail.

Secondly, the call is most likely coming from a boiler room which means that the people working there are fraudently representing multiple companies simultaneously.

The guy who posted before you probably experienced this, his caller ID came up with Gallop Poll but the fraudelant telemarketing employee mistakenly said, "Wells Fargo" instead of "Gallop Poll"

I know because I worked in telemarketing firm, albeit a legitimate one. This happened all the time.  It's embarrassing to say you're calling from one company, "Hershey's Quality Assurance Feedback Line" when your phone is displaying or picking up "Hughes Aircraft" calls.

    Annoyed replies to Rob
You don't have to be so rude. It is completely understandable for people to be frustrated with these calls, especially when their number is on a No Call list. Our phone numbers are private things and when you are getting unwanted phone calls from someone that you did not personally give your number out to, it can be annoying, stressful, and upsetting. That is the whole point of the No Call list!

These PEOPLE continue to call day and night regardless if I have told them I am not interested.  First I just picked up the phone then hung up now they just call like 10 minutes later.  No respect for the request to stop contacting this number.  I even registered this number on the no call list and they STILL continue to call.  They are interfering with the postal service and people who need to call us!!!
