Just also got a call Indian with a thick accent named Jerry from GE I also am on a DO NOT CALL list.

I receive calls from this number (406-948-8156) daily. The calls are listed on my caller ID--  they are apparently fishing for information. The name AVERY PLACE shows up

I answered and heard parlor music (piano) for a few moments, and then a woman with a very heavy accent (perhaps indian?) said "hello" and her name (I couldn't make it out). I was able to make out that she said was from Avery Place about General Electric (alarms I think she said), and when I said i was not interested, she got defensive and said "interested in what". I promptly hung up. Telemarketer call; I'm on the DNC list, also telemarketing to cell phones isn't allowed, and it was my cell phone she called.

Ghetto is a word used where I am from as an adjective describing many things. It has NOTHING to do with race . To assume it does, and take it personally and make an issue of something that shouldnt be one is ignorance as well.

This number has called me multiple times per day for the last week or so. The first time I received a call from them, "Michael", (yeah right) told me that he received my cell phone number from my boyfriend. Interestingly enough, I have been married for 7 years, and do not have a "boyfriend". They keep calling. When I ask to talk to management and tell them that I am on the do not call list, they just hang up on me. This is bordering on harassment, but I cannot find out what company this is or how to report them. SO frustrating.

2 times in the past month or so I have been near mine and my wifes cell phones when they rang simultaneously from this number so it's obviously computer dialed.

Received a call from this number on both landline and cell phone today.  Caller ID showed Avery Place.  I didn't answer either time.

Same thing here . .  music then hungup, put them in my phones block list!

Just got the call, but I do not answer blocked or numbers I do not know.  As I Googled the number I had no message left too me?  I also am Do not call list, but have learned that once you volunteer your number to a solicitors web site they are exempt because of your implied invite.  Following my call procedure makes it simple.  So relax:-)

Got a call from a foreign speaking female stated her name was Keisha from monitronics and hung up.

I received a call at work today on my personal cell phone at around 3 pm today.  Caller sounded oriental and mentioned a "survey" I took regarding something from GE.  Told him I didn't know what he was talking about and asked how he got my cell number.  Got another call from the same number on my home phone and didn't answer.

i am on do not call list, i didn't answer caller left no message.

Same crap, answered phone, said hello, and disconnect on other end. I'm on no call list too. Those [***] dont care as long as someone answers the phone, they get credit for a phone call. That must be how they're paid.

Same crap; answered and they disconnected.  Called me on my cell phone (that has been on the dnc list since 2003).  I never, ever, ever sign up online (or anywhere for that matter) for anything that would give marketers permission to call my cell phone.  Caller ID said 406-948-8156 Glendive MT.

A person with a foreign accent called from this number asking if we had a security system, and supposedly wanting to give away a free security system.

Supposed free installation of GE security systems.....

I threatened to use them as sandbags like in Afghanistan, they stopped calling.

I received a call from this number.  When I answered, it played some music & then it quit.  No one came on the line.
