We have been getting multiple calls a day from this number.  I thought that the 'no call list' is meant to stop callers like this.

I received a call from 4069488156 but all they got was a blast from the fax. Like everyone else I am tired of this bull. Seems government is wasting our money on the DNC list, But then they waste money everywhere.

started receiving at least one call per day from this number during the past week - the number of calls increased today to FOUR as of 5:00pm - I never answer, having caller ID that says "Avery Place"  DO NOT WANT these calls.

I said hello several times. Idiots said nothing. Why call if you are not gonna talk??? The fools! Bother me when I am relaxing @ home! Caller ID says Avery Place.

i changed my number once before because i was receiving calls from numbers like this!!...now all of a sudden today i get another call from these people..whoever these people are need a life asap!

How do you know she knows nothing about the ghetto?  You are stereotyping.  Which privileged groups are allowed to use the word ghetto?  Ghetto came from WW II and it was the place that the Nazis made the Jews live.  Are you suggesting that only Jews may use the word?  Or, were you ignorant of the word origin?

OP WAS stereotyping. Concerned is right. You wouldn't want someone to stereotype any of you as 'deadbeats' because you're on this site (seeing as how a lot of numbers are collection calls no one answers), would you? Or 'fat' and 'lazy' because you're trolling an 800-number site, right?

I received a call from this # but did not answer. My voicemail ringer went off so i listened to see who it was....there was music ,moving around and talking in background like someone was in a car and butt dialed the phone

I didn't answer, but they started talking to my voicemail and then started shouting "HELLO, HELLO, HELLO!."  Female with heavy indian accent stated she worked for "(garbled) electronics, your local general electric dealer." ...  Yeah, I doubt that.

Got 2 calls from them tonight, plus at least one a day for the past 2 weeks. Have asked to have our number removed, but they still call. This last time my husband asked for a manager, and the guy tried refusing! The jerk finally told him he'd get a manager, then he hung up on my husband. I have reported them to the FCC. This is ridiculous!

Really....!!!!! The post is about the phone number and an arbitrary call from someone unknown. It is a  notification and brief descriptive of what was heard.  What was heard was NOT Professional regardless of how it was described.  The call receipt is concerning in itself and poses questions like...Who is this, Why are they calling me, What kind of company sounds like that in the back ground, Is this legitimate, How did they get my number?  
I too received this call yesterday and came to the net to find out something about this number before I called it back.   Some of these arbitrary numbers will lock your phone number into their computer if you call it....so I try to investigate before.

Stick with the subject matter folks, the post was a notification.  Not everyone is going to use the same descriptive language. Quite honestly ghetto was not offensive to me....it described a less than cultured or professional use of language and tone....which describes NON Professional to me.  I am black, educated and professional when I am at work.

Recieved a call from (406)948-8156 last evening 7pm EST, I was unable to understand what the dude was saying. I'm from NYC, now living in Kentucky, I put a block on the number. If I see anything in the future from these Sociopathic individuals at area code 406, I will notify the FCC.
