They called me on a Saturday saying they were the social security office saying that they sent me a letter and they needed my address to resend it out I need to verify my address. I said y’all call on a Saturday o wow and I know dam well sso don’t do that and they send out multiple letters. ITS A SCAM

Yes , it is totally a scam SS office doesn't call you . Ever ! Unless its a call BACK.  PRE ARRAINGED.  I've gotten messages ( from scammers) saying my SS card had expired and even left a number for me to call back to get me to the right department with some kind of threat to my social if the didnt hear from me soon. The message was full of red flags and typos. When in doubt. With Anybody. Telthem you'll call back and hang up . then get the number and  make a call

100% the social security administration, it's a legit number. They're calling to either give an update on your claim, or ask more questions about it. Usually it's the very last step on your claim. If you call it directly you'll be told it's the Maryland headquarters, which it is. They'll ask for the first 6 or last 4 of your social so they can verify it's truly you, as it's information that can't just be told to anyone

100% is incorrect, as some callers are scammers and they like to spoof legitimate numbers, impersonating the SSA to trick victims into a false sense of security.

Got a call today. They asked a few questions. What do they do with our answers? But wasn’t asked for my ssn or anything like that?

I have received calls from this number.on Saturday morning and Sunday morning.called number back just automatic answering service.which I did not respond to.

I got a call from this scammer and called back. There was a robot male voice that said they needed my first 5 digits of my SSN. LOL!!!! WHY!!!??? If y'all are the real SSI office than, y'all should have it already!!!!! [***] bye.

Yes that number is from SSA but it's being spoofed. No government office works on Sundays.

That number 1-410-965-1234 called today, I answered hello couple times then I said sorry I can't hear you but it still was very silent on the other end and no voice or reply back! So I then thought it was a Scammer or Hacker and I hung up the phone! Who was it? Is it legit 🤔 number?
